Sapphire was sitting in the study waiting for Mr. Stephenson to walk in. She'd been living here for a couple weeks since he'd found her. It was thanks to him that she'd been able to survive the wounds she'd gotten. Now she was completely healed and she wondered if he'd send her away. The sound of the door opening snapped her out of her thoughts and she looked up to see him walk in followed by his daughter. She stood up and bowed to both of them with a bright smile they'd treated her so kindly and deserved her respect.
 
The door of the study had now swung open with Mr. Stephenson and his daughter entering the room to walk in front of Sapphire. He had been dressed rather nicely, wearing a fancy suit which looked quite expensive. His daughter Miranda however was wearing some casual clothing one her age might be wearing when going out with friends. "Well, I do hope you're feeling better. You were quite a mess when I found you, but it looks like you're going to be alright. Miranda had been listening, an earphone in her ear as she listened to her music as well as the conversation in front of her. She gave a little smile over to Sapphire. They were both the same age, though from what her father found out, Miranda was a month or so older.
 
"Yes I'm feeling alot better" She said with a smile "Thank you for helping me". Sapphire returned the smile Miranda gave her and turned her attention back to Mr. Stephenson. "So what did you want to talk to me about" She asked curiously and sat back down looking up at them. She didn't want to be sent away but she also didn't want to overstay her welcome. If she was lucky he might want to hire her so she could pay him back for taking care of her.
 
"Ah...well that's good to hear. I just couldn't bear to leave you there. It's good to see you all better." He paused for a while as he gave a slight nod to his daughter, who gave him an excited little smile. She moved behind him, placing the other earphone in her ear as she started to wander. Mr. Stephenson turned back to Sapphire, a small smile on his face. "Well, I was thinking about what I shall do with you now. After finding you, I can't allow such a thing to happen to you again." He turned to briefly glance back at his daughter, who was tapping her waist to her song. "Also, my daughter Miranda has always wanted to have someone her age around the house. She's surrounded by, 'so many strange old men', as she has told me." He chuckled softly. "I am going to offer you a new home, to live here with us if that is fine with you. I can guarantee that you will be kept safe with us."
 
She listened to him speak without interrupting once. "You really want me to stay here" She said surprised "I'd love to stay here". She hadn't actually thought he'd let her stay but she was happy for it. "But I want to at least pay you back for treating me so well" She added "Otherwise I'll feel like I'm imposing".
 
"Oh, there really isn't any need to try and pay us back. My only wish is that you get along well with my daughter." he said, turning back to Miranda, who looked back at him a bit confused. "I hadn't told her about this yet, but I can tell she wants you to stay here. I must be honest, she's always wanted a cat around here as well." He made sure not to say it to offend her. He didn't see her as some animal at all. "So, could you do that for me?" Miranda soon got bored of sitting around and walked over. "Ok...what's with this long conversation? I've been sitting for too long Dad."
 
Her ears were standing straight up on her head and she smiled brightly. "I'd be happy to" She said brightly. She wouldn't mind being the pet of someone who was so nice. It wasn't normal for a wild Neko to accept being a pet but this was different. "If Miranda doesn't mind letting me be her pet" She added. Sapphire looked over at Miranda hoping that she'd like to keep her as a pet.
 
"Huh? Pet? Dad? What were you talking about?" she asked, seeming a little confused but at the same time eager. Her father looked to her, a small smile on his face. "Well, it seems that Miss Sapphire will be staying here with us, and she has agreed to be your pet." "W-what?! Are you serious?!" she said, looking to Sapphire. "Are you really going to stay here?" she asked, a bright smile on her face. "That's great!" she said suddenly pulling the neko into a small hug.
 
She returned the hug with a bright smile. "Yes I'm really happy to stay here and be you pet Miranda" She said to her. Her tail was swishing back and forth and she was glad Miranda didn't say no. "Thank you so much for everything Mr. Stephenson" She said to him "You're a really kind man". The other nekos she'd met said that all humans were evil. "Is there anything you need me to do for you first" She asked her.
 
"Geez. You don't have to say it like that." Thinking of Sapphire as a 'pet' seemed a bit strange and uncomfortable. She was more like a friend. She gave her a big smile as she scratched gently behind her ears. "Eh...I don't really know of anything for you to do. For now, I'd just like to sit and talk." she said, resisting the urge to pet and scratch her like she would a normal cat. Her father nodded slightly to her. "The pleasure is all mine. Now, I do have a bit of work to get to. I'm expecting you to get her acquainted with the house Miranda." he said. "Yeah! No problem!" she said, and soon he had left the two there. "How about we head up to my room?"
 
She closed her eyes and purred softly feeling Miranda scratch her behind the ears. "Okay...I'll be happy to talk with you" She said smiling at her. She stood up and smiled this was perfect she had a home, bowing to Mr. Stephenson as he left she turned to Miranda. "That sounds good" She said answering her question. She couldn't believe how lucky she was she'd thought he'd send her back to the forest once her wounds had healed.
 
Miranda smiled brightly at her as she took her hand tightly in hers, leading her out of the study. It was a rather big house, so it would be likely that she would get lost. She'd have to get her accustomed as quickly as possible. They had to climb up a small flight of stairs into a hallway with numerous rooms. She pushed open a door leading them into her massive room. It was surprising that this room was just for her, though her bed seemed to fit enough for two, maybe even three people. "Hopefully you'll have no problem sleeping here with me." she said, having them both sit on the bed. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm curious about how it was for you in the forest. Like how you would get food and shelter and stuff like that." She had never really thought about such a living, but with Sapphire, she couldn't help but ask.

(She was living in the forest yes?)
 
She looked around the room in awe she'd never seen comfort like this. "I would be happy to sleep in here with you" She said smiling and sat down on the bed with her. The bed was soft and she couldn't resist bouncing a couple times on it. "The forest...well I'd have to move around alot and going from cave to cave" She said "There were a bunch of other nekos that I traveled with...we'd have to hunt down our own food and usually had to eat it raw". It was hard living but she'd been happy with others around her that was until the wolf demons showed up but she wouldn't talk about that.
 
"Hmm...that sounds tough. though perhaps for you it wouldn't be. I don't think I'd be able to last at all in the forest." Miranda said with a nervous chuckle. She giggled a bit as she watched Sapphire bounce a few times on the bed. "Well, I don't think you'll have to worry about eating anything raw now. I'll be sure to cook up something nice for you to eat." Her eyes would occasionally move to look at her ears and tail, gently reaching out to move her hand over one of her ears. "Just tell me when you wanna eat something. I'll cook it for you in no time."
 
"I think you would" She said "It easier to survive then you think". She leaned back and looked up at the cieling and smiled. "Cooked food sounds good" She said to her "But I'm not hungry right now". Her ear twitched feeling Miranda's hand and she smiled. Like a normal cat she enjoyed having her ears scratched and petted. "Though you don't have to cook for me" She added.
 
"Is that so? It sounds rough, especially if I ran into anything dangerous. I don't think I'd be cut out for that kind of living." She probably only said that since she was so used to living in this house, a little spoiled at the same time. She smiled at Sapphire's reaction to her petting, and continued to do so, scratching behind her ears more. "Eh? Are you sure about that? I think I should cook you something. If you keep eating raw then it'll affect your body somehow."
 
"It isn't" She said "And there are dangerous things out there...but its easy to figure out how to get rid of them". She purred softly as her ears were scratched and her head tilted into Miranda's hand. "I've eaten raw meat since I was little it never affected me before" She said softly.
 
Miranda gave her a nervous chuckle at her comment. "Eh...even if that's so, that doesn't seem like a good thing." She continued to scratch behind her ears, smiling a bit at how cute she was. "Well, if you absolutely say so. But I think a cooked meal would be nice every now and then for you."
 
Sapphire had been Miranda's pet for a few weeks now and she'd gotten comfortable living inside of a human's dwelling. She'd learned how to cook and took care of many things to help out her new owner. Miranda was a great friend as well and she was happier than she'd ever been in the forest.

"Good morning" She said with a light smile as she carried a tray of food into Miranda's room.

She'd gotten up really early to cook breakfast for Miranda just like most mornings.
 
Miranda grumbled a little as Sapphire walked in. She looked forward every morning to Sapphire's cooked meals, but she had a hard time getting up in the morning. At least when Sapphire came in today, Miranda didn't give her too much trouble. She slowly sat up, her hair a little bit messy. "Oh...good morning, Sapphire." She waited at the tray of food was brought at her bedside, the wonderful scents filling the air. Miranda always felt she would wake up right away if it was for Sapphire's cooking. "Wow, it smells so good. I'm still thinking about how impressive it is that you could cook so well after a few days of learning."

She reached over to gently pat her head, scratching behind her ears gently as she had grown so used to doing. That was really the only thing she did to suggest Sapphire was a pet, but she really thought of her as a really close friend more than anything. "You cooked a lot too. Be sure to eat up also." Miranda took her fork and popped a piece of sausage in her mouth, letting out a little squeal at how delicious it was. "Oh! Your cooking is just as remarkable as always." She got another piece on her fork, holding it out for Sapphire to get some. "Come on now, say 'ah'."
 
Sapphire set the try down once Miranda had sat up and sat down beside her smiling warmly. It was nice not to be grumbled at but she understood that Miranda wasn't a morning person and she would never fault her mistress for that.

"Thank you Miranda" She said with a bright smile "I really enjoy cooking it's fun."

She let out a light pur feeling Miranda scratching her ears that was one of the few things she enjoyed so much. Miranda rarely treated her like a pet but she didn't mind the few times that she did.

"It's alright I'll be able to eat later" She said with a soft smile.

She watched Miranda's reaction to her food and smiled proudly she was enjoying this and smiled warmly.

"A-alright" She said with a light smile taking a bite of the food "Mmm...this is really good..."
 
Miranda was pleased to have Sapphire get a bite of the food, and immediately after she continued to eat her meal. Every now and then, she'd give Sapphire a bite to eat. "Ah...I could eat your food all the time, Sapphire. You might even make better food than some of the fancy restaurants I've been to." When she had finally finished up her food, she set the plate aside for Sapphire to take. She still felt a little odd having Sapphire work for her, but the nekomimi didn't seem all that bothered. "When you're done with the dishes, I'd like it if you could join me in the shower today. It may be best just so we can help get each other's backs." she said. She moved to her closet, picking out some clothes before turning to Sapphire again. "And I'll be sure to have another uniform prepared for you. Though I am thinking of heading out somewhere today..."
 
She sat there with Miranda eating the bites that were offered to her smiling it seemed so long ago that she'd been found by Miranda and her father and she was almost thankful for the events that led to that day.

"Thank you Miranda" She said with a light blush "But it's just breakfast."

Sapphire picked up the plate as soon as it was set down by Miranda and moved to walk out of the room. As Miranda kept speaking she gave a soft smile and nodded in agreement.

"Alright let me clean the dishes" She said with a soft smile "Then I'll join you."

She went to the kitchen and cleaned the dishes she'd used to serve breakfast before going to join Miranda in the shower.
 
Miranda may have been over-exaggerating with Sapphire's meals, but she had been rather honest. Maybe customers would enjoy having a nekomimi serve them when she was such a good cook. After picking out her outfit, she set aside a spare uniform for Sapphire nearby, starting to slip out of her clothes while she waited for the water to heat up. By the time Sapphire came in to join her, she was still in her underwear. "Oh, that was quick. Come now, let's get out of these clothes." She giggled a little as she quickly and skillfully undid the knots and ribbons in Sapphire's uniform, getting her out of the clothes in no time. The uniform itself was pretty large, so Sapphire seemed much smaller out of them. Miranda gently stroked at Sapphire's tail, watching it sway a little behind her. "Oh, and you really maintain your tail too. It's so nice and fluffy as always." Miranda was always a bit playful in times like this when they were together. When the water had finally heated up, a little bit of steam was filling the room. With the two of them naked now, she stepped in with Sapphire, guiding her into the flow of the water.

"Mmm....that feels nice." Miranda let out a pleasant sigh as she stood there with Sapphire. She looked over Sapphire's figure for a while, getting a little envious at her chest. Being out in the wild had given the nekomimi such a fine figure, and maybe even raw food helped her out at times. "Hmm...I still can't get over how beautiful you are." she said, hugging the nekomimi from behind. "These are pretty big too." She gently cupped Sapphire's breasts in her hands, looking rather amused as she gently bounced them in her hands. "I'm jealous..." she muttered, resting her head on Sapphire's shoulder.

"I do try to be punctual" She said with a soft smile "I am very happy here and I don't want to disappoint you."

Sapphire helped Miranda until the bows on her uniform and let it drop to the floor smiling warmly. A shiver ran down her spine when Miranda stroked her tail a nekomimi's tail was a very sensitive place on her body.

"Th-thank you" She said softly "I try to keep myself looking nice."

Sapphire would never complain about something that felt so nice and she smiled as she walked into the shower with Miranda tensing for a moment when the water touched her skin. She wasn't that used to water but she could handle it for the sake of cleanliness.

"Beautiful?" Sapphire said softly blushing when she was complimented.

A soft mewl slid past her lips when her breasts were cupped by Miranda nervously biting her bottom lip.

"Thank you" She said softly "But...you're more beautiful than I am..."
