The Second Door

She nipped his bottom lip lightly then turned around and went up the stairs. She may have gotten most of a full night's sleep, but sleeping on a chair was less restful than sleeping in a bed.

He smiled as he felt her nip his lip before going upstairs. He stretched before getting up, grabbing his bag and going up to his dorm. It was a few steps before he was dropping his bag, falling into bed and sleeping.

Ginny groaned a few hours later as the other girls in her dorm woke up chattering. Placing her pillow over her head, she gave a wonderful impression of being ill and promptly fell back to sleep, a state in which she stayed until well past noon.

Alexander woke up a few hours later, changing his clothes and heading down to the great Hall for breakfast. He sat with the usual group of people, but it was a little different today. People were cheering him for being with Ginny now. At least, most except for Ron. He could feel the heat from his angry stare on his head.

Alexander ate quickly before getting back to the common room, spending the rest of the morning and a few hours of the early afternoon reading textbooks.

Shortly after one, Ginny stumbled down the stairs. She saw Alexander and walked over. Without any sort of actual warning, she slid into his lap, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his shoulder, nuzzling affectionately. "Did I miss lunch?"

He was surprised by her jumping into his lap all of a sudden, but he fell into it quick, his arms wrapping around her shoulders. "No, lunch should have started not too long ago. We can go get something to eat if you want."

He smiled, kissing her softly. "Just reading up on some text that I skipped over before. A lot of people already left for the village."

She nuzzles his shoulder some more. "Ooooh, sounds boring. What class?" she asks, nibbling lightly on his neck/

She smiled up at himi and leaned in to give him a kiss on the lips. "Oh, not so very boring after all," she said with a smile and looked at the book. It was open to a hover charm. "Hovering? Are you serious? This is first year stuff, Alexander," she said with a smile.

He looked at the book that she was looking at, then at the nearby table. He hadn't had his charm book out... then he saw the book shaped dustless piece on the table. "Not my book." He said, tossing aside the book she had and pulling out his 5th year charms book.

She giggled. "Are you sure? come to think of it, I'm not sure I've ever seen you do a hover charm...." she said, her voice teasing as she ruffles his hair a little.

His eyes narrowed a little bit as he heard that. He pulled out his want and simply did the motion, the book riding out of her hand to drop lightly onto her head.

Ginny jumped a little when the book hit her head, reaching up to rub the spot a little. "Ouchies..." she muttered, pouting at him. "Point taken."

He let the book fall to the ground, pulling her down and kissing the top of her head lightly. "Sorry, you know how it is. You do a spell without saying it, and it's weaker."

"Bull," she muttered, a small smile on her lips. She tilted her head back to kiss him. "I think you meant for it to hit me on the head." And she stuck her tongue out at him.

He smiled as she tilted her head up, kissing her with a passion, though she stuck out her tongue at him. He flicked his at her before nuzzling against her. "I'm sorry."

She smiled at him and bumped her nose against his. "It's okay. I've got a temper that trumps that by ten. I think I might have hit you with the entire table if you'd insinuated I couldn't do a hover charm." Her voice was light, but entirely serious.

He couldn't help but smile at that, kissing her deeper before looking into her eyes. "That was playful, not angry. If it was angry, you might have levitated into the fireplace."

He smirked as he kissed her, nipping her lip to break it. He moved to her ear, whispering so only she could hear. "If we were alone, I would levitate your clothes off."

He smiled at her idea, nipping her lip lightly in response. "Where would you like to go, then?"
