Are You a Vampire?

Negi was sitting in the library like he did every night. After all, where else could he go? Everyone hated him for what he was. Well, not exactly what he was. More of how he did his job. He was a Hunter. An individual who's only job was to hunt down all the things that posed danger to the general population. Not simple things like robbers and murderers. Things like dragons and werewolves. The things that you only saw in your darkest dreams. He saw them every day. And he had a very unique way of dealing with them. Magic. Magic fueled by blood. This caused him to receive a rather unique label as a monster. Some people thought he was a vampire. Some thought he was evil.

But he was just doing his best to help. And as he pulled the hood off of his brown cloak, he could only be seventeen or eighteen years old, showing his shaggy dark brown hair and the pair of dark red eyes that came with his magic, he could only let out a sigh. This was so frustrating. He couldn't do his job if anyone he met told him they hated him. So he pushed his glasses up on his nose and went back to his book. The Hunter Organization was sending someone to meet him. Someone who was supposed to be important.

Kaytlin fiddled with the directions in her hand as she tried to find her way down the confusing streets. Being fifteen, she was not your average girl. In fact, she had stopped aging about fifty years ago, though she was still human. She was the first successful project conducted by the organization. A human trapped in suspended animation. Partners specifically designed for the hunters. It had come to a point where one could not fight without the other. Scratching her head she sighed, "Honestly, what kind of hunter is he? Obviously not a tracker because he stinks at directions." She murmured crumbling the paper in her fist. She didn't mind her role in life, in fact, she was terrified of death, so this work suited her quite nicely. She had long brown hair, wore a long brown trench coat covering a forest green shirt and jeans. "Aha!" She said as she pointed to the complex across the street. She had found the address she had been looking for. Brushing back her Burnett hair out of her sharp green eyes she walked up the stoop and knocked on the door, leaning against the frame as she waited for an answer. Kneeling on the ground she took an inhale and smirked, "He's here." With that she walked into the building, following his scent which was obvious to those trained to look for it. Standing behind him in silence, she waited for him to acknowledge her presence.

Negi had developed a rather bad habit over the years. He was paranoid. And though he was not good with directions, he could feel her even as she approached the door. He didn't exactly trust the stranger, especially when she walked up behind him without so much as a word. Instead of simply turning around and saying something to her, he suddenly blinked out of existence, a pool of pure darkness appearing behind her. And a moment later, he stepped out of it, sighing. "What exactly is it you are trying to do young lady? I might have killed you."
