Justus slept soundly with his beloved wife at his side throughout the night. Cornelius had assumed much of the responsibility for directing the other servants now that Justus frequently disappeared into the bedroom with Adonna relatively early in the evenings. He helped Fatia and Lilith find a snack to eat and then get settled in their room. The girls couldn't really complain about being here, but they couldn't help but discuss how Justus and his wife seemed a little more aloof now. They'd heard the base moans of pleasure emanating from the bedroom, from Adonna, and discussed that as they fell asleep, too. Lilith admitted that she was a virgin, while Fatia was far from it. Fatia explained that her former master had frequent intercourse with his wife, but it was never as loud as Adonna was. Their new master and mistress must have something special, the girls concluded, giggling a little as Fatia theorized at what they might have been doing in there.
The next morning, Justus woke before Adonna, and slid on a house tunic, stalking about the home. He was happy with the way the foyer had been arranged. Knocking at the new girls' room, he spoke with Lilith as she answered the door in her nightgown. "You said you were expert in the beauty arts," he reminded her. "Oh, yes sir," she said groggily, trying to be as enthusiastic as she could manage. "Well, then Adonna would like to be bathed, groomed, and made up this morning," he told her. "I'm anxious as well to see how skilled you are," Justus added. "Oh, yes sir, you won't to be disappointed," she said in her pretty accent. She dressed and headed off to Justus' bedroom, where she timidly knocked at the door.
