Rachel just wanted to fall to her knees and cry as he spoke and finally left, she was so trapped that she felt she could suffocate without any form of real asphyxiation, she was terrified and alone...Angel couldn't be told about this, anyone from town would surely judge her as unfit to help mold a youth like Angel with the baggage and blackmail she had and then...and then there was the draw of that damned drug...even now as she felt this fear and pain she wished for a hit just to make it go away. "N-no you can't do this again! It took so much to kick the habit so much...believe in gods strength, its just a test and with his help I'll get through it." Her voice was unconvincing even to herself as she moved to clean herself up.
Angel had been waiting for a few minutes by the time Dexter showed up, her food untouched as she waited patiently, she got to her feet as she noticed the slap mark on his face. "A-are you okay? I was going to get up and see if either of you needed help but..." The mark on his face looked to much like a slap to be ignored and it was obvious Angel had noticed that but she refused to ask why, jumping to conclusions and blame never ended well was what she had been taught. "Do you need an ice pack or something?" Her hand reached up to softly rest on the area, inspecting it in case it was worse then it appeared.
