The mirror that she was looking into was a rather bloody and rusted view of the room... but what else was in there was more frightful. There were several nurses, either standing around or walking slowly along the room. But they didn't seem to notice Adonia yet. Her image was in the mirror as well, ignored by the nurses. The room didn't have too much in it, besides a key that didn't have a tag on it.
Once she grabbed it, the door would lock, and if she tried it, the nurses would activate, going towards her mirror image... and every blow that would land on it, she would feel. None of the nurses were armed, but continuous blows could be hazardous to her health...

The town had been satisfied by the fear that went through her with the single dog, so it didn't send out more. But the gate of the motel locked behind her. She would have to find her own way out. The only unlocked passage was into the front office.
