Mail Order Husband [East and Lagertha]

Bosede nodded. True. She had refused to eat as well. The pigs had at least enjoyed the meal.

"Meat?" Her brows raised, her head tilting. Bosede started walking, not anywhere in particular. She moved to take off the apron, setting it over the fence.

"Oh.." She giggled when he spoke her language. That must have been how she sounded to him speaking English. Though, Bosede bowed, happy he was at least trying. "Before? Where are we going?"

Kyle points at the animals on the farm. "I no eat." He said trying to clarify what he meant by meat, though really now he was at least a little annoyed towards the girls father. She really should have known the basics of a language that was spoken half the world over. Still at least the two of them were trying to communicate, and he could attest to the fact that they were at least both trying to understand one another.

Kyle walked behind her for a moment. His arms coming to rest around her shoulders as he pulled her towards his broad chest, wanting some level of physical touch as he rested his head on top of hers. He supposed it was a little odd to be physical with a girl whom he had barely known, but at the same time she was his wife, and the two of them were going to be in close quarters for a while, he supposed that it was only natural that he started to invade her personal space in little ways like this. He thought about her question of where they were going. He sighed a little knowing that she didn't want too leave her home, but at the same time knew he would be dragging her away from her country. His hands wrapped around her holding her firmly against him in an almost protective way. His broad shoulders and strong arms protective of the young woman that he had taken as his own.

"Tomorrow." He said simply before using one of his hands to mimicked the motion of a plane taking off. It had been what she had agreed too by not destroying the contract, and in a way she must have known that much. She wouldn't be seeing Egypt again for at least a few years after tomorrow. So this was her real last chance to see her home if there was a place that she wanted to go too he could at the least make sure that happened.

Along the journey he would have to pick up some kind of pocket translator, but that was something he could get once they were in Europe. It wasn't that Cairo wasn't an advanced city, it was just that odd feeling of unease that came with being in a non english speaking country, and that soft sense of xenophobia that he really should get over. He looked at the girl, and smiled down at her. This was perhaps the strangest kidnapping he had ever gone through.

Bosede looked at him, nodding. She understand now, he did not eat meat. "Vegetables then?"

"Huh?" She was surprised, looking up when he put his arm around her shoulder. More surprise overtook her when he pulled her into him. Her face hid in his chest, smell of him hitting her nostrils. She could smell his own scent mixed with a lingering scent of cologne. Ah, it smelled good on him. Her face turned red as he held her close. At first her hands stayed at her side, before she gripped his shirt. There was something intoxicating about being held by someone that was not her father...and she felt semi safe in his arms.

So they left tomorrow. Bosede felt saddened by the news as she pulled away from him. The girl new she should enjoy her last day here, she did not have much of an option. "We go there!" Her small hand extended, a finger pointing beyond the pond in the distance where a large jut of rocks were. There were some trees, and more rocks behind it, it was large, they would have to climb. "Must climb." Bosede did not wait for his answer, as she moved and started to break out in a run.

"Vegtables, and fish." Kyle said with a slight nod, he kind of wondered if she had ever had fish before. Their family had no fridge, and they were pretty far inland, he supposed if they ever had dinner in the city it was possible. He shook his head, it didn't matter he wasn't about to force his diet on this girl. He had never been preachy when it came to it, and considering the look of the farm, he felt discomfort to be sure.

When she seemed to sink into him he took that as a good sign that things were at least going better, that maybe some of her seeming dislike of him had vanished after the pig comment. Not that he blamed her, he was still taking her away from everything she had ever known, but the way she grabbed his shirt and held him close, he could at least feel like there was some affection there, even if the two of them couldn't really share a language it was something new. She didn't feel fragile to him, she worked on a farm and he assumed that most of that manual labor had kept her in shape because even just holding her he could feel a tight curvy frame under her shirt. His mind strayed towards sex again, but he didn't let it linger there would be time for that kind of thing later on.

Watching as she started to take off towards the side of a hill he looked down at his clothing for a moment. He was glad that he had gone with pants that had a good amount of elasticity for them because of the plane but he hadn't exactly planned on going rock climbing, even so this was her last place, and so when she broke out into a run he followed after her.

It was an odd experience in a way taking Kyle back a few years, when was the last time he had tried to chase after anyone. He wasn't entirely sure, but he was now more thankful that he had done his part to stay in shape, as he could follow after the girl. His longer strides helped, but with her doing a full run, he had to strain himself at least a little too keep up with her.

To an onlooker it could have looked like strange man chasing down a child.

When they reached the jut of rocks he was breathing a little more heavily, but not so much that he was wildly out of shape. He was suddenly very glad he had never smoked in his life. "You first, I follow." He said pointing up towards the rocks, he wanted to see how she climbed it so that he could follow her foot holds.

Bosede was in good shape, she enjoyed running. There was so much open land around here that she'd often run around or chase the chickens..even run with the horses sometimes. It was just od to have someone chasing after her, trying to keep up.

When the reached the bottom she turned around to look at him. She panted a little but not much. A smile crept on her face. He was much older, and clearly not in the best overall shape. When he pointed up she nodded. For a split second she wondered if he had ever climbed before.

Bosede wasted no time. She jumped up, grabbing some of the rocks between cracks. She pulled on the pieces making sure they were sturdy, her feet pushed into little cracks and.. she started to climb. It seemed natural to Bosede, to scale the side of the wall. When she was about ten feet up she looked over her shoulder at him. Holding herself up with one hand, she motioned him up.

"Come! Come!" Bosede said before pointing to the top. "Go up." She continued to climb.

It took her awhile to get up to the top, but when she did she pulled herself up before looking over the edge at him and urging him on. She waited for him to come up, before getting on her feet to the ledge. The top of the rock was flat and overlooked the desert. Still, it gave a better view of the landscape. In the distance they could see the city, and houses with grass and land, as well as rock formations.

It had been a long time since Kyle had climbed anything. His early university years had been spent in construction, and he had done a lot of tying of Rebar. Back then he had harnesses, but would still be climbing buildings several stories off the ground. Still that had been done with harnesses and tools, so he had to watch Bosede's movements carefully. Moving up just behind her watching how she climbed and doing his best to mimicked her footholds.

He was only a few moments behind her as she pulled herself over the ledge followed after her. Pulling himself up to the top of the hill side, though he didn't struggle as much as she probably assumed. His clothes were a tad dusty now, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned. He looked to the girl, and then looked out to the horizon.

For the first time he could kind of see the beauty in her country. The rolling land the city in the distance the long length of farm land, and the few houses that were around here. Even in the fading sun he could see the things that made the land unique, it was quiet here something he didn't expect, but was enjoying.

He raised up a thumb, "good view." He said as he relaxed for a moment, thinking that this trip wasn't so bad. He moved closer to the girl, offering her a hand. "You okay?"

A pleased sigh left her lips as she looked out over the horizon, doing a 360 to look at everything. She could see their farm, the farm lands, and some of the tall grass in the distant where wolves probably were hiding. There was some grass around the pond, but not much and that was the only thing for miles.

Bosede looked at him when he got up to the top and looked around. Him holding up his thumb made her laugh and micmic him. Her smile showing her teeth, at least she took care of her teeth it seemed.

When he moved closer offering her a hand she sighed shrugging. Bosede turned her back to him, running her fingers through her long thick hair. She caught some of the hair tugging on it. Stressed. Anxiety. Overwhelmed. All the emotions were flooding her, but she pushed them down. Perhaps, when they actually left she'd not be able to handle them. For now, Bosede just wanted to pretend everything was normal. That he was only visiting and would be leaving without her.

She moved to the ledge, sitting down with her legs dangling off the edge. Legs kicked as she just looked out. The pyramids could barely be seen from here. There image got lost in the humidity of the country. "Okay." Bosede finally said in English after a while. She was fine for now, and this was one of her favorite spots. At least, he seemed to be okay with the view.

Kyle still felt uncomfortable in the heat, even with the sunlight fading away this was not a climate he figgured he would enjoy, his home was further north, and he was looking forward to a time when he could get back to the places he enjoyed, but the trip was not for nothing, and as the sun went down he could honestly say that enjoyed this view, and had been glad to see it.

He gently placed an arm around Bosede's shoulder pulling her a tad closer to him. He moved to gently place a kiss on her forehead like he did before, and held her calmly for a little bit. He had no doubt that what was to come was going to cause her some level of strain and stress. However Kyle figured that the girl was probably strong enough to take care of herself on some level after all of her years working. He placed her close to his broad chest his body momentarily sheltering hers.

He felt slightly protective of the girl, the fact that he was taking her away from everything she had ever known, and he was worried that he may not have as much in common with someone who came from such a different world, but these were problems that could be dealt with tomorrow or the next day. For now he sat with her in silence until she wanted to get up and leave the spot.

He took out his phone one more time, and snapped two pictures, the first was of the landscape the visage of the city in the distance, and the rest of the countryside from what he could see. The second was a selfie one that finally had two people in it. Kyle smiled showing the pictures to Bosede, and then pocketed the device. Sitting with her in quiet.

Bosede was kicking her legs off the edge of the cliff. She noticed when he sat down next to her, holding her. Her eyes looked up at him, confusion at first, before she relaxed. It was not like he was trying anything with her...yet...he was just being kind.

Her mind raced as she looked at the horizon. Not wishing to think about the trip ahead. Still questions popped up; Where were they going? Would she ever visit her parents again? Would the people like her? Would she make friends? What would people say? In Africa, as well in most countries, it was not uncommon for older men to marry younger women. She just wondered if it was the same where he came from or different.

A sigh escaped her lips at the thoughts, trying to push them down when he showed her the photos. Ah, the one of her surprised her, but Bosede simply nodded. No. He had no photos of anyone else in them, but now he had one of the two of them. For a moment, Bosede felt lonely, knowing what was to come.

It was after the sunset that she stirred, having fallen into a bit of a daydream slummer like she used to. Jerking, she jumped seeing him, forgetting he had been there with her. Often, she would come here alone. Her parents were so busy, and her mother could not climb the rocks to follow or would not dare. Bosede felt peaceful here, her safe spot. It was hard adjusting to the thought she had brought someone here, but she had no idea the next time she would see this place.

"Hungry?" Bosede spoke slowly. She bet her parents had settled down by now, and she knew this man had no idea where he was or where to go to. At least, without a car he had no clue. Bosede supposed her parents had made some food. It was time to eat, settle down for the evening. Maybe play some checkers, with rocks, on the dirt floor before falling asleep. Even tic-tac-toe sounded fun. One last time with her parents. "Go?" She was trying her best to communicate with the man, though her words were limited. Still, she moved to stand up, dusting herself off, before going back to the side they had climbed up to go climbing down. "Go?" Bosede pointed to the edge, before turning around, and started to descend slowly down the cliff. There was still the halo of the sun to light their view, but it would not be long before the stars were out and it was hard to see.

Kyle watched her with a slight fascination. He was as equally transfixed on the new locations as he was the girl at his side. He could get the feeling that this place was special to her just by the way she seemed to gaze out from the world. But he had to admit that this was harsh. He was coming into this world, one that he didn't really know or understand, and just charging in, taking her from her home and kidnapping her.

The thought hadn't really occurred to him before, but this was a lot like kidnapping only it was legal, and only slightly morally questionable. He focused on the horizon. He hoped that he could give her a new life in her new home, and while he didn't really want to come back to Egypt, he knew that denying her, her homeland would be cruel.

When she asked him if he was hungry it jarred him out of his line of thoughts. and Started him getting up, he didn't nod, but his stomach did growl, still he didn't like the idea of eating meat. He started to go back, climbing down and following her example as he did.

As they were walking back towards her home, he extended his hand offering to hold hers. He was aware of the difference in their height, and the fact that they had similar complexions really made him wonder if he was marrying her or adopting her for a moment.

Walking back to her home, he wasn't sure what the rules were once he got back, and frankly he was a little worried about her parents thinking they might stab him while he was sleeping. He wondered about things that probably have never crossed the girls head, like sex, and if he should wait till they were at least in a hotel room. Give her the night with her family.

That seemed the most appropriate this wasn't exactly a wedding night after all. Taking a seat at the table again, the house was indeed much more quiet, it had a more somber tone now that the arguing was over.
