End of a Tyrant (Daxxel x nightsorceress)

As he stepped closer to her heart pound in her chest, did he remember her. She wanted so badly for him to remember her, but then suddenly his words cut through the air like a knife. “Aiden no please listen.” She was panic as she saw the guards move in around. She had to think she waved her hand and the guards where frozen in there tracks. it was now her and Aiden, at least until she no longer had the power to hold the guards frozen. Her powers were not full charged and she had used a lot of magic this night.

She stepped closer to the king. Reaching around her neck she moved a tiny necklace. She did not want to get to close to him and spoke him.”Aiden you gave this to me, when you asked me to be yours, when you asked be to your under the willow tree that was special place. you gave this to me, A week from before i was locked away in the dungeon.” She then gently tossed the necklace to Aiden hoping he would remember her.

The king caught the necklace and there was a flicker of remembrance in the King's eyes before his brilliant, sapphire blue eyes flash a dark crimson. "You can't fool me with your trick witch!" he shouted and drew a dagger from his hip, tossing the necklace to the ground. The king then stumbled back as he looked up in fear. A loud roar echoed off the walls of the castle as a great dragon swooped down and grabbed the girl in one of it's talons.

'Stupid girl, that man has had his heart enchanted! Did you really think a trip down memory lane and a little trinket would break it?" the dragon said to the girl telepathically. The dragon flew off as the king shouted for the archers to open fire. A shower of arrows launched out from the ramparts. The dragon shielded the girl from harm, most of the arrows bouncing off his dark green scales. Suddenly the dragon let out a loud roar as an arrow sank deep into his shoulder. Unable to fly the dragon plummeted to the ground wrapping his wings around the girl to protect her as they slammed into the ground. As the dragon opened his wings and let go of the girl, his body slowly began to shift and change into the humanoid form of Brax. Brax grunted as he stood and ripped the arrow from shout.

There was a brilliant flash in his eyes even just for a moment that told to her he remembered her. It was all she needed he was still in there. She knew in that moment she could led bring him back to her. Alaina was ready to stop him when she saw the dagger but did not need to. Suddenly she felt the dragons talons lift her from the ground. She was worried for him as she heard the king yell to shoot the dragon down. They didn’t make it far when and caused the dragon to crashed to the ground.

She moved away and as she did the dragon transformed it to brax. She rushed to his side touching the wound healing it “thank you for what you did, but you shouldn’t be risking your life for me”

Hissed in pain as the girl touched his wound. Once she was done, Brax looked at the his shoulder, "Thank you," he said, "Madam Sorina sent me, she believes she may know a way to save you beloved king," he said and started walking, "keep up, we have a long time to go and the king's men won't be far behind," he said walking deeper into the forest. Brax hated to admit it but the girl was very brave to come to face the king on his guards on their own ground.

“Brax I can’t go back with you.” She sighed “part of him still remembers I know I can connect to that part, I know I can break the curse.” Although she was greatful for everything they had done for her she couldn’t go back there now “and me going with will only puts you and everyone else in danger I can’t allow that to happen.” She smiled softly “I can’t break the curse I know I can and then once broken we can stop the evil that put this curse on him.”

"You stubborn girl!" Brax growled as he rounded on the young maiden, "if you would stop with the bleeding heart melodrama you would discover that we may have a way for you to break the curse that doesn't involve you pleading to a cold-hearted man's better nature," he said, "Now either you come willingly or I will carry you back to the camp, your choice princess" he said

She didn’t like being snapped at by him, “you don’t understand! I have spent years a part from him not knowing what had become of him, and now I can finally be reunited with him and your stopping. No Brax I learned a lot in just that short time with him him. I could see the curse but I could also see it could be broken.” She looked down and back up again “I am not just some weak witch, mother schooled me well I can handle this.”

growled again in frustration. "you might think you're strong, you might think you can break this curse all by yourself, but you are wrong. A spell like this requires a powerful talisman or spell jar and while it's still intact the king will forever be under the curse," Brax explained, "so if you would just cooperate, we can set out and save that....Man from his curse," he added biting his tongue on what he wished to call the king, "but if you'd rather be executed for attacking the king with a dragon, feel free to stay here," he added and walked off into the woods grumbling to himself
