The Cavern (guardian and LunarWolf)

the elder looked at her "do you blame her for doing so though you are not known for liking or allowing those with strong magic to be free to roam and not with in your site" she was almost certain that Jen would have ended up locked up somewhere and never to see the light again

Aaron just looked towards her before he was looking towards his mages, "Take them all down to the dungeons. I think ten lashes a piece will be good enough." This had them nodding their heads for a moment before they were speaking something. They were able to pinpoint who held the magic, which had one of them snapping a collar around her neck to restrict her powers. Just like all magic users had to wear unless they had the trust of the king. Which she most definitely didn't. Tatiana was in the process of leaving the room, not wanting to hear anything more of what her father wanted to do to those poor people. Getting out of the ballroom she was sinking to her knees once she felt the collar go on the magic user, whoever it, which allowed her to deactivate her ability. Honestly she was grateful that she was already on the ground, or she probably would have collapsed.

Greg had laid Jan on the ground and then had followed her out and helped her up off the ground "lets get you to your room princess you don't need to be here for this" Greg didn't agree with collaring the young elf but he wouldn't go against the king or what he wanted to do to the female. Greg had a feeling when she woke and found out all hell was going to break lose he also didn't know what kind of elf she was.

Tatiana looked up a bit startled when Greg came out of nowhere before she was giving a nod as she got to her feet. "They just need to learn to respect the rules. It isn't that difficult to tell father when you are a magic user. He isn't that harsh of a man." she mumbled after a moment in time. Honestly she thought that the lashings were just a joke, that it was just being said to scare them into listening. How wrong she was though. Nope when her father said that they were going to get whipped, then they were going to get whipped.

"Tatiana not everyone trusts your father its sad but true and being the the mages can't tell what type of elf she is could be the reason behind it" Greg had noticed that she was beautiful and he had also noticed that she was one of the dancers and if the king figured it out he would have a field day as she had denied him earlier in the day as it was

"Doesn't matter what type she is. If father wants her magic sealed completely. He will seal it completely. It won't be that hard to do." Tatiana spoke after a moment in time as she walked down the hallway although there was that familiar lightheadedness that she was waiting to kick in, which had her pausing in her walking for a moment in time.

"it will kill her Tatiana you can't lock away an elf powers with out knowing where they come from to provide what they will lose when they are locked" Greg had a feeling she was tied to an element but which one he couldn't be certain and that worried him

Tatiana just looked towards him for a moment in time before she spoke, "You don't think I don't already know of this. I study magic for a living. Magic is my life, that is all I do. And father only locks ones magic away if he doesn't trust them. Had she been honest with him from day one, he would have somebody watch her for a while, especially if it was stated that she only used it when needed. She would be watched to see if what she said was true, and if it was then she would have gained some of his trust. She could have possibly had the chance to come and actually live in the palace. Had to not kept secrets. Secrets are bad. You of all people should know this." With that she was pushing off of the wall and heading to the doorway that head to the stairs that would lead up to her chambers.

"that I do Tatiana that I do" Greg kept many secrets from all of them mainly to keep them all safe. Greg watched as she headed to her room and then returned to the ballroom where the king and Jan were currently. just as he walked in she started to stir. Greg knew once she was fully aware of what was going on that she would notice the collar if not sooner. he just hoped that her powers were enough to keep her alive

Aaron looked towards Greg before he spoke, "Send word to the guards. All of those in the dungeons get ten lashings a piece. But pass on the message that they can get out of it. The woman can offer to their bodies to either myself, you, or the guards. And the men can swear their loyalty to me, and request to join the royal guards. This will get them out of those lashings."

Greg nodded his head and then looked over sharply when he heard a small groan come from Jan "looks like she is waking up" he watched as she moved to get up off the ground only to hiss at the pain her hands caused her from the scrapes that were running over the entire palm. this would make getting up off the ground a lot harder then it needed to be

Aaron was looking over for a brief moment in time before he was giving a small shrug then spoke, "Oh well." With that he was just watching the woman for a brief moment in time.

Greg looked at him "your majesty you know by binding her powers like you did you could make her very ill" that was what the collar did it effectively bound a persons powers preventing them from using them. Greg did jump a little when it seemed like the plants were moving as if trying to get to her but couldn't seem to do so. Greg wondered how strong the girl was or if the plants were reacting to her pain and trying to comfort her.

"And? I should care why?" Aaron questioned after a moment in time, a completely emotionless expression on his features. Yeah he had definitely changed from the man that he had once been. Somebody who cared about his people, and now he didn't. Although many didn't know the truth behind why he had changed at all. Hell even his own daughter was trying to figure it out half the time. While this all happened, Tatiana sat up in her chambers organizing her herbs and going through a number of her spellbooks, attempting to find the spell she wanted. Ah there it was. A spell that would allow her to see into the future. There was something that was bothering her, something that was going to happen, and she was hoping that this spell would give her a general idea. Granted she knew that the future was always changing but usually even if what she saw didn't play out exactly as what she saw, the same general idea occurred. Persay if she saw her father get murdered, the person who murdered him could be different, as could the way that he was killed. But in the end he was still killed.

"if you want answers from her she needs to be well enough to speak and if I am right she is also the dancer who refused you earlier today" Greg jumped when one of the plants shot out a branch and snagged Jan only to pull her to it. while the plant tried to help her she was only feeling worse and weaker by the moment. Jan still hadn't noticed the collar so she hadn't put two and two together

Aaron just watched for a moment before he spoke "I honestly don't care. Because eventually somebody is going to give me answers. Or if they don't give them to me.... I'm sure that they'll give them to our esteemed lady." No he wasn't going to speak his daughter's name, not in front of somebody that he didn't trust whatsoever. This is how it always was, he never referred to Tatiana by her name or by Princess when others were around, more so to protect her. He always referred to her as my lady, or some other title of nobility.

Tatiana finished brewing her potion and took to drinking it. Although this had her physical body collapsing to the ground while her spiritual form took to going off into the future. Although this future seemed almost more deadly than what it was at that point in time. While many people thought that a rebellion would be a good idea.... it never was. It always resulted in more violence in the end, and that definitely wasn't something that they needed at that point in time. Tatiana glided through the vision, unseen by everything and everybody around her. No this wasn't what was bothering her, there were already whispers of a rebellion. No it was something more deadly and dangerous. But what exactly?

"and if they can't no one may know them but her" Greg wondered if the king was even aware of the things going on around them and he had to wonder if they weren't some how tied to the female in the room or if he was simply imagining things

"I could just kill her then, that would make my day just as well." Aaron spoke after a moment in time although his attention did draw towards the strange power surge, although this one came from above their heads where Tatiana was back. Well she had figured out what was bothering her....and it was the same exact gem that she knew that they had to worry about. Magic was being fed to it, and the negative effect just happened to be it being an overload of power and more or less exploding.

Tatiana was rushing down to the throne room, the veil once again hiding her features. One of the guards was quick to head to the throne room and spoke, "My lord." Although that was about all he got to say before Tatiana was running into the room, carrying her skirts in her hands. "I know what has been bothering me. That southern tunnel needs to be blocked off completely. That particular gem that is there.... either needs to be destroyed or needs to be buried far deeper into the ground so that it is never found again. As it feeds on magic being used in those tunnels it will continue to absorb it. But things can only contain something for so long before it gets full..... the negative effect is the gem releasing all of the magic at once. If that happens.... everything will be destroyed. The caverns and the kingdom above, if not more." Tatiana spoke breathlessly, not caring that the other woman was in the room at that point in time.

Aaron was looking over and was about to snap at whoever had interrupted when he noticed that it was just his daughter. "You are the Royal Sorceress. Find a way to safely contain it if you can. That could be a viable weapon to use against enemies. If that cannot be done, then I want it destroyed. I do not want it falling into the hands of our enemies." Aaron ordered which had the young woman giving a bow of her head in acknowledgement.

greg shook hi head and then listened as the princess spoke about a weird gem and then wondered why if it was so dangerous would the king think it would be a good idea to keep it. all the while though he kew the female was listening to them even if she did look like crap

Tatiana was just studying her father for a moment before she spoke, "With your permission then.... I shall be going once again." With that she was giving a small bow of her head before she was picking up her skirts and leaving the room.

Jan chuckled and then coughed a bit "good luck that part of the tunnels is a labyrinth and if you don't know what to look for to find your way you will get lost" Jan had found the crystal she was speaking of and to protect it had erected a labyrinth around it. while she was able to navigate it with eace since she had made it no one else could if they didn't have either the mark to guid them or had been through with her

"We shall see about that. But the abilities of my sorceress are not to be underestimated at all." Aaron spoke before he was gesturing for some of the guards to take her away, not wanting to deal with her any more at that point in time. With that he was turning on his heel as well, ordering a few guards to stay with Tatiana.

the guards would find it a challenge to get her away from the plant as it was trying to make her feel better while protecting her at the same time. Greg frowned a little and then headed out of the room and headed to the library he was searching for a family record he had hear rooms several years back of a young girl who had two types of magic living in harmony in her body and he had also learned who her family was. if this girl was that same person then she would be of great use to the king

"Just burn the stupid plant." was all Aaron could say which had one of the mages whispering a spell, and sure enough that is exactly what was happening to the plant. It was setting ablaze, and Aaron just watched for a moment in time. "Learn to respect and obey your ruler, girl." was all he said before he was looking as the doors opened and Tatiana was drifting back into the room. "Have you located the gem?" he questioned. This had her nodding before she spoke, "Yes sire, I have located the gem. It will be easy enough to fetch." "The labyrinth shall pose no hindrance to you at all?" Aaron questioned which had Tatiana shaking her head before she spoke, "Of course not. I already knew about it, I already know the route. There isn't any magic preformed here that I don't know about. Remember this." With that she was turning and drifting out of the room once again, a few other guards falling in next to her.

"My lord, are you certain that it is a wise idea to allow the princes...." one of the mages started but had to stop himself before he stated that Tatiana was the princess, although it was far to late for that. Hopefully the slave hadn't been paying attention at all, and even so.... it wasn't as if Tatiana wasn't without her defenses. "Are you certain it is a wise idea to allow your sorceress to venture down into the labyrinth alone?" the mage rephrased his question. This had Aaron looking over before he spoke, "For six generations magic has been locked away with her bloodline, she is the first in six generations to inherit magics. Since the day she could walk, read, and speak she has studied magics. There isn't a single magic that she cannot preform. I am confident that she will be fine." After that he was turning as well to leave the room as well, already knowing that the girl wouldn't be able to get far. The collar was something only that of Aaron or Tatiana could remove, and if she tried to leave the palace without permission....well she wouldn't get far.

it took him nearly five hours to find what he was looking for and confirm it during this time period Jan had been moved to the infirmary but the medics were stumped as to why she was so ill in the first place. Greg gathered everything he needed and then headed to Tatiana's tower to speak with her first as he wanted to see if using magic she could verify what he had found. Greg worried what would happen if Jan actually learned how to control her powers and tapped the deeper well that ran through her family line
