A well known city can not simply drop off the face of the earth...can it?
A well known, popular, trade capital has had a very sudden decline, all due to a new king. Or so the people thought. The first few months of this man's rule went well, with a flourishing city, becoming richer by the hour due to the trading of it's people with outsiders. This city was a safe-haven for most, full of peace and life, then things began to change. Slowly, almost not noticeable. The people saw more of the Kings guards roaming the streets, the cities rules being enforced more strictly. Then...people were starting to disappear. One by one the population of this city vanished. The towns people had been forcibly located underground, into a system of caverns, forced to become the king's slaves. Forced to mine deep into the earth for valuable resources, that had no use to the people who had once lived above ground in prosperity. These once happy people have been isolated from everything an everyone, they haven't seen sunlight in ten years. There have been rumors of a rebellion among the younger workers, but will it be successful?

Jen shifted in her seat he long platinum blonde hair brushing the ground as she worked on cleaning off the stones that had just come out of the mine and from the chipping room where all the remaining rock was chipped away. Jen's eyes were a deep emerald green and people often wondered if she had been made instead of born because of how closely they resembled the stone. Jen looked up when she heard one of the guards call out for all the dancers to report to the front room so they could head to the castle for a command performance. this told her they would be taking the underground tunnel to the castle to perform since they would normally go through to the back room if they were headed above ground. Jen hated performing for the king and his general since they were the reason everyone was locked below ground. the Kings desire for more wealth had caused them all so much pain in the last ten years but not wi seemed like things would be better soon as the rebellion took place. Jen missed the elderly king as while he did have dancers they were all free and could enjoy life in the sun. Jen missed the sun being a mix between a light elf and a nature elf she was able to survive with out the sun but she always felt stronger when she had both.
Greg sat in a stool next to the king and watched at all the nobles paraded their annoying daughters in front of the king for his approval as they were hoping he would take one of them for his bride. the king had been told and he would soon need to produce and heir to the kingdom. Greg had chuckled when the male had told the advisor in clear terms that he would have a child when he was damn good and ready to and not before
