Race: Qwindallian (Human)
Age: 21
Weapon: Manu Dei, as she named it is a long black wooded rifle reminiscent of world war one rifles with a bayonet fixed to the end of it. The metal work along it, seems to be made of a gold type metal allowing it to stand out, and has been known to turn Ruby's hair from a sleek silver into a fantastic gold when she draws upon this gun. She is never far from this weapon, or the sabre that she entered the Rift with.
Biography: They say that once with every family, you will get one that is destined to become a mage solider. A saying that has been passed down in Qwindalia, a thriving country within the world, surrounded by the enemy. Tiamira is one of those that break the mold, realising her strong magical amplitude for magic, and had a generally cold sense of duty. She enlisted at the age of ten, and quickly go through the basic training catching the eye of her superiors. Just as she had wanted.
She got moved into a specialised training program, and left there for the next two years. It was a brutal training regiment, but she continued to get back up despite being knocked down so many times. She got close to a breaking point with one of the recruits in which the two were supposed to be engaged in a simple sparring session, but almost wound up killing each other. After which she demanded to be put into the Rift, a tear in the world where magic seeps through and all manner of creatures reside behind that can be formed into.
At just 15 she was put forward to enter the Rift and vanished inside. Some take weeks some take months to get in, others take years to find the weapon for them, armed with nothing but a sabre she vanished for five years. Once she returned she didn't talk about what had happened within there, only claiming that she had met the god she will chose to follow, the God of War. Armed with a long black rifle with gold metal fittings and a symbol carved into the stock, the white haired warrior came back, and would spend the next three years building up an impressive career to be put forward for the Elite Squad in the Qwindallian Empire. One step closer to fulfilling her own goals.

Bio: Bren Charles was born into a wealthy family. His affinity for magic, was noticed at a young age. His family considered it an honor to have a mage in their family. At a very young age his parents paid for the best mages in the country to train him. By 8 he was sent into the rift to retrieve his weapon. Though he wouldn't come back for 10 years. When he returned, he was quickly put into the most prestigious military academy. Where he was trained to be a Sargent in the military. After 3 years of training and learning he was put under control of his own platoon.
After 5 years with an impressive record he was promoted to Captain. He gained a good reputation as a commander now in charge of 5 platoons. Though with the war turning sour, he had to face worse and worse opposition. At one point an entire Platoon of his was taken out. The leader of the platoon that was killed was known to be the woman who Bren formed his magic bond with, and was also engaged to. Able to save the other 4 platoons, but failed the mission he was given for the first time. Do to his long list of success he was given a new platoon of recruits. Now he looks to put them into shape in the next months before their mission, and find a new mage to form a bond with.
After looking over all the applicants one had stood out to him above all others. Her name was Ruby, she was a powerful young mage. Had an impressive resume, a strong weapon and the mindset he was looking for. Her talent far surpassed the others who had been presented for platoon. She also had never formed a bond with another mage, which was perfect. Since his bond mate was now dead, he bond was fresh and ready. When ones bond mate dies, all the power of the bond dissipates. Its not like he was just moving to another, and they had to deal with awkwardness of meddling through another's bonds.
Bren was wearing his signature brown cloak and glasses as he walked into the room where Ruby had been waiting for him. It was a private room, there he would interview her to see if she was the one to lead Platoon 2. As he walked in Bren smiled at Ruby and gave her a salute before sitting down in the seat across from her "Good Evening private Ruby. I am sure you know why you are here, I am searching for a new Platoon leader for my regiment. Though I am sure you also know I am looking for a new bond mate. You are here to be interviewed to see if you are the one for the job"
Ruby sat in the interview room in her uniform, her hat placed on the right side of the table, closest to her as she waited for the commanding officer to get in here for this interview to begin. She began to dis-assemble her gun when it was taking too long and started cleaning the various parts of the mechanism. The wooden shell of the rifle laying across the table with each of the parts neatly lined up as she began to brush them, getting off whatever grime and dirt there was hidden upon them. The room was a fairly plain one, she thought looking over it. White walls, wooden table two chairs, her one with a slightly shortened back leg to make her uncomfortable. Shaking her head, causing her long silver hair to ripple a little in the movement she continued to clean her weapon. Manu Dei.
Upon Bren entering she rose to her feet and saluted back, her feet together and gloved hand raised above her head. "Sir." She stated in the respective tone that was expected of her position right now. She waited patiently for him to be the first to sit down and then followed suit sliding back into the wooden chair, crossing her legs as she continued to clean her weapon in the interview. "I would not be here otherwise sir." She stated in response to the position, though looking up at the idea of a bond mate she remained quiet for now. It was compulsory in regiments for people to form partners within, making a stronger pair to the entire machine than just one soldier. "I see." Was her only response as she began to assemble Manu Dei again, the parts clicking together slowly as she moved them back into position. "This interview will be assessing what exactly, sir?"
Bren watched as she cleaned and assembled her weapon, happy to see she had a strong bond with her weapon. He then listened to he responses and replied to her first comment "Well that is good to hear, I am glad you think you are qualified. Honestly the last two applicants had disappointed me." Those last two turned out to be stream line for him. They didn't think for themselves enough. Yes his orders where absolute, be he needed someone who was able to think outside the box in tough situations.
He then smiled at her last question and said "Lots of questions. First off, what is most important in a regiment?"
She looked up at him as she finished and placed her gun down on the table. Listening to him carefully as he asked this question, which sparked a few potential answers that could be correct. Did he want her to think outside of the box or does he want her to answer in a standardised manner? She could already feel herself beginning to over think this rather simple question on the surface. Slowly Ruby placed her hands together and leaned forward in the chair.
"It depends, if you are talking about something that is already there, then i would suppose trust within each other. Seeing a working unit is like watching a clock work, if there is one cog or gear that decides to work against the others you have a broken clock." She thought that, that was enough to answer his question unless she had missed something. Her eyes didn't move away from his, maintaining eye contact with Bren.
Bren nodded at her response not showing any emotion on his face one way or another. "So Trust and team work? that is what I will right down." Bren responded. He then asked her the next question "What do you consider your greatest strength and weakness?"
She sat there for a while before narrowing her eyes, did he want an honest answer or one of those crappy i'm trying to make myself appear vulnerable answers. She decided to give her honest opinion which would contradict her first answer. "My greatest strength is myself, and my weakness is other people." She stated, "There are very few people who i can work with as they get in my way."
Bren took a deep breath at her response before saying "Listen, you first response was so good I am going to give you another try at that question. I asked about you, what is your greatest strength and weakness. No one is perfect, Now thy self before you enter battle. There is no way I can put someone in charge of a platoon who doesn't even know or can admit their weaknesses. You have to know your weakness in order to prevent others from exploiting it. Now tell what is truly your greatest strength and weakness"
"With all due respect sir." She stated and cocked her head to the side a little as she still didn't seem to break eye contact with him as she spoke. "Would you prefer if i lied to you in person or tell you the truth. As of currently there are few people that i can work with to be an effective team. If you put me in charge of this platoon i can guarantee that i will personally train them to the highest standards to make an effective team."
He responded to her saying "I would prefer you answer my question to the fullest right now, in the future I expect no less from you if I decide to make you platoon leader. For now I will write down your answer to the last question as your strength is confidence and your weakness is working with others effectively. Does that sound correct?"
Ruby leaned back in her chair a little, her voice neutral as before. "If that is what my commanding officer deems so." She studied him closely and couldn't help but see a little difference in him, maybe he wasn't like those others that lounge about in HQ claiming glory whilst the tacticians work.
Bren just rolled his eyes at her statement, he then asked his next question which he was sure would bring surprise to her face but he didn't care "So tell me how do you feel about kissing and cuddling?"
To say he was right was an understatement. She blinked a little before cocking her head to the side. "Eh.. excuse me sir.. i don't think i understand the full extent of this question." She stated to him and leaned a little bit further. "What has this got to do with becoming captain of a platoon?" She asked him, a questioning expression forming on her face.
He looked at her with a blank star before saying "I told you that you would also be my bond mate if you join the platoon. This is a question pertaining to that, I enjoy cuddling and kissing. I want to know if you enjoy it to".
"Eeeheee..." She looked to the side for a moment before letting out a long sigh. "I don't object to it.. it means that we aren't animals i suppose if we show a little more affection.. is fine." She stated and regained herself a little as she understood the intent, having forgotten about that part of the interview.
"Good to know..." Bren replied writing down some stuff on the notepad he was holding. "So tell me would you be willing to give me your body tonight?" Bren asked.
"If we were bonded i would yes... but any other circumstance i'd have to say dinner would be appreciated first." She added and gave a slight smile before it was wiped from her face.
"So be it" Bren replied before standing up and starting to walk out of the room, though before leaving he said "You are to report to my room for dinner at 1800". Bren then left the room.
She perked an eyebrow at him as he left before rising and saluting him as he left before taking in a deep breath as he left before placing her hat back on her head and grabbing Manu Dei to head out of the interview room. She wasn't sure if she should wear anything special for it, but there hadn't been anything told to her about it. So she assumed her uniform should be fine.
He went into his room and called the chef at HQ. He had them cook up a dinner that was listed in Ruby's profile as her favorite. He then waiting in his room wearing the same clothes from earlier. His room was fashionable, as a high ranking officer he often had to meet up with important people. So his room had two sections. I living area and a bedroom. In the living area was a table for two, a couple couches and chairs along with a radio.
Ruby slowly walked around the rooms and the training grounds to kill what time there was between her leaving and meeting him. Eventually she removed a branded silver pocket watch checking the time, the ticking of the clockwork oddly satisfying to her before she nodded a little. Five minutes early should be acceptable. She made her way over to his room, her rifle resting on her shoulder for now and took in a deep breath before knocking on the door, staring up at the brass lettering and number on the door.
