"And then I took an arrow to the leg..." [NF & MT]

"Oh I'm very aware of where we are." he said with a wolfish grin

He dragged her ass to the edge of the bed so that it was barely hanging off, and lifted her legs up onto his shoulders. He still had his boots on as he started to rub his cock up and down her slit. He was always a little turned on in her presence, but the slap had been. Well, she would've made a proud Red Guard in that moment, and that was hot. He'd explain that to her afterwards. But first things first. He was going to take her. Roughly.

One hand found her mouth and clamped it shut, whilst the other helped to slide his cock home into her.

She had to resist the urge to arch her back in defiance when he pulled her on the bed again, sliding her ass so she was practically hanging off of the bed had it not been for his stability. His words sunk into her head and confirmed her fears, they were indeed entering rough waters. Staying calm from here on out was imperative.

She shut her eyes and raised her chin as he closed his hand over her mouth to keep her quiet. She was very aware of what was going to happen next so she prepared herself the best she could. She was still sore from the previous night and it showed in a grimace as he slid himself in. She released a gentle whimper but otherwise remained unmoved. Her wide, blue eyes stared into his own then. If she was still and gave him what he wanted it should help calm the situation.

As if she had a choice.

The thrill of her grimace, the knowledge that this was more pleasurable for him than for her - at least now - made him even more aroused. He kept his face mere inches from hers as he took her. These weren't the hard, sharp thrusts of their first time, but rather him luxuriating in her body. Or rather luxuriating in the control he had over it. His eyes stayed fixed on hers as he held her mouth shut. With the other, he found and pinned her hands together. The only noise in the room was his rhytmic, heavy breathing. And for him at least, the roar of his blood in his ears as lust took over.

Lorelle submitted to him, allowing him to take her without so much of a fight. She did not want to draw any unwanted attention from downstairs as that would be more disastrous than she cared to handle right now. Plus, then she would be stranded in Solitude with her 'Great Protector', who was only that part of the time. The rest of the time, he was a sex-fueled deviant. He could be so gentle.... but then this.

She dared not move, dared not make any noise of objection. She allowed him to pin her arms and take her with great lust and relentlessness. She grimaced in pain occasionally but hoped it would not last long enough to make her much more sore than she was the other night.

Unable to move, unable to speak, she simply submitted her body to him.

He took her quickly, and ended up pressing his tongue into her mouth, kissing her hard as he finished. The submission was perfect. With his lust spent, he rolled onto the bed next to her, not even pull her dress back into place, and continuing as if nothing had happened - even and although his cock was still out, and glistening with her.

"Amongst my people, that kind of a slap is... an invitation. When driving someone off, use a closed hand"

"Now, we'll need a day or two to find leads. You had wanted to go to the markets, yes? And we'll need new clothes - especially to make you feel like you belong here and fit in. Or, the alternative, we look at more exotic clothing, and make you feel like you don't want or need to fit."

When he finished with her Lorelle immediately sat up, pulling her dress down and situating it. Her face was a deep red color with embarrassment but it was a crisis adverted. Just call her the Beast Tamer. As he explained that a slap was basically an invite to sex her face grew somewhat redder. Well that was good to know.

As his mind shifted back to their tasks at hand she nodded, relieved to finally be back on track. “Yes, and you will need supplies, though I’m not certain where to go to for what you need..” hell, she didn’t even know what he needed.

“Have you considered visiting the palace? Perhaps your mage-thief came though here. I have read that such places often have court wizards with magical goods for sell.. if you did visit I would have you pick up a few books for me.. Ones fire related..” It was clear she had no intention of visiting the palace... that would be something Kellen would have to do on her own. As much as she would love to see it, it was not worth the risks.

“I will check the books in the stores, perhaps they will have something useful to me.”

"The palace is the obvious place to go, but we would need to buy better attire. Well, you maybe not, but I certainly will. But let's face it - there are few enough Red Guard in your lands. It should be relatively easy to pick up his trail."

He watched her dress languidly, clearly enjoying the power he had over her. He soon stood and changed into something less armoured, and unbuckled his shield. His sword, however, stayed in place. He was still rugged up against the cold, but looked a little less bad-ass-warrior-wanderer-murder-hobo.

"I've not met any nobles from your lands, but I suspect that those born to name and fame act with a little more confidence. What can we do to increase yours?"

She nodded her head in agreement, somewhat relieved that Kellen indeed intended to go to the palace. The books they likely sold there she hoped could help her to better understand and maybe even control what lived within her. Books of that magnitude never made it as far as Dragon Bridge, so hopefully that would be a stepping stone in learning herself. If Kellen would get them for her that is.. he had a mission there as well after all, and this was about him first and foremost.

She watched him stand and change clothes. As he did so the thought to tidy herself up cane to mind. She had dressed for Solitude so her clothes did not need changing. She did go about straightening her hair and trying to freshen herself up some, including removing the cum from deep within her with a cloth that had been set out for them.

She frowned when he spoke of her confidence. The fact that he was carrying on with this Lady nonsense shocked and concerned her. She could not pass as anyone important... nor did she care to. But it would perhaps open more doors for him so she would try.

“I..” she hesitated. “There is no answer to that question Kellen.” And there wasn’t. The fear that she would have one of her episodes was always in the back of her mind. It made it difficult to live... let alone worry about something as fleeting as confidence. “I will try to do better..” she assured him, hoping he would drop the subject.

"Confidence comes from how you perceive oneself, rather than how the world sees you. And I see nothing but nobility and courage." he said nodding. "Well, nobility, courage, beauty, and fabulous breasts" a laugh.

"Would you rather go shopping for books alone? I have some coin that we can share. The way I see it, we're in this together until we reach the magic college. What little I have I will share with you."

What little he had. Hah. He had enough money in coin (a mixture of different types of currency, mostly Imperial, but with a few small gemstones as well) to be able to buy a small house somewhere. He'd not reveal the source of his wealth, but it mostly came from work, and a little from killing brigands.

And he didn’t drop it. Lorelle glanced to the side and tried not to roll her eyes too very hard. She was confident in herself as a person. She was not blind of her own beauty and ways with men, she was confident in that. She however was not confident in her control of her abilities. She did not want to draw any unwanted attention... she found things were much quieter when she submissively withdrew into the background and let life work itself out around her. “I’ll try.” She affirmed, but that was all she had to say about it.

“You do not have to stay with me if that’s what you’re asking... I think I will be okay. I’ll stay close to the inn. I have coin, I don’t need anything. I saw a clothing shop across the street, I will get different clothes and visit the shops around it for books.... where will you go?” In truth she was a tad nervous to be separated from him but she was an adult... she would take it all in careful stride.

Lorelle moved to her beg and dug out a small pouch of coins, clenching it in her hand.

"I can stay with you, if you like. But my plan was to go downstairs and ask if anyone had seen any Redguards, and then follow up on any leads. I have a very simple and direct approach to this kind of thing. Good thing that I'm not looking for a Nord."

He straightened out his clothing, adjusted his swordbelt, and then turned to look himself in the mirror. He couldn't help but laugh. "I look like an entertainer or a beggar. Neither of these are things I aspired to as a younger man. But needs must when the Daedra drive."

With that, he moved to hold the door open for her. It was if the earlier attack hadn't take place - or rather, he seemed not to be bothered by his casual violation of her.

"No, it's okay. I can do this." She seemed to be telling herself more than she was telling him. She did however wear a determined face to allude to the fact that she was indeed taking this small conquest very seriously. It was almost ironic that Kellen was setting out to handle serious business, while she only worked herself up to do some light shopping. It was however a large step for the young nord.

She paused at the mirror once Kellen vacated it and looked at herself as well. Her face was not one of approval... what kind of clothes would they have at the store, she wondered. Absently she fiddled with the ribbon around her waist and moved to the door as Kellen held it open for it. "You look very handsome." She assured him, responding to his earlier criticism of himself. She gave his chest a light pat and began to move down the stairs. She stopped at the bottom of them and looked to Kellen.

"I hope you can find what you're looking for." Her voice was low, anxiously preparing to part ways, just for the moment.

"Oh, I have no doubt I will. We tend to stick out." he watched her more than a hint of pride. He had dragged her from her cozy, safe environment into a larger world. She was obviously scared but she seemed to be coping. He nodded to himself and then turned his attention back to the innkeeper.

"Innkeep. I need some information, and a hot drink."

"Then you've come to the right place. What do you want to know?" he asked as he went about making what amounted to honey, lemon-juice, hot-water, and whisky.

"I'm looking for a Redguard."

"I've found one"

"Where?" replied Kellen, looking quite surprised.

"In front of me" replied the innkeeper with a broad grin.

"Other than me?" he asked as he accepted the drink. "Ooh. This is good. What is it?"

"A child's drink. But to answer your question, you might find your man - if my sources are true, it was a man - at the Bardic College. And let's face it. They're bigger gossips than I am."

The Breton woman who'd been lounging at the bar burst out laughing at this. "We're also better gossips."

She half-smiled at Kellen, watching as he stepped away to blend with the normal vagabonds and inn-goers. He was odd, yes but he looked like the rugged adventure that would wind up in a place like this. She however looked like she had been kidnapped and forcefully inserted into this life without a prayer to the world. Or maybe that was just how she felt. She edged to the door, barely opening it before slipping out.

The hustle and bustle of Solitude almost took her breath away. Vendors yelling in the distance, children playing, soldiers marching along or standing guard at various pathways. She sucked her breath in deeply and held it a minute before finally releasing it, clenching her fist around the bag of coin in her hand. She could see the clothing shop across the road and began the short but taxing trip across the road, past many people to get there. She slid inside, relieved to be in a confined space again and out of all that... mess outside.

Once inside her eyes rolled over garments on display, all in styles that were almost foreign to her. She glanced down at herself as two women who sat on a bench in the shop giggled madly among each other. The feeling that they were laughing at her, and at her clothes, was sinking. Or perhaps she was just sensitive.

"I don't suppose you're here to buy anything..." The woman at the front desk spoke at her rudely, to which she glanced up but withheld comment. Calm, calm, she had to stay calm and every one would be all right...

She ended up leaving the store with an arm full of new garments and shuffled along to the next store. The lady there was much nicer, an older, wise woman who actually had books among her wares. She did browse and saw much of interest, but nothing that she was looking for. She left that store empty handed and found herself standing on the streets for a moment, looking up and down. Was she done? It had seemed short-lived and she had it so very worked up in her mind...

She walked back to the inn with her arm full of clothes. How out of place she must have seemed. Once she stepped inside she quickly scurried up the stairs with them, not even checking to see if Kellen was still where she left him. Once she got to the room she dropped the clothes on the bed and dropped herself beside them. She let out a deep breath and closed her eyes..

She did it. She braved Solitude on her own.

Kellen had spent the next little while drinking quietly and talking to the bard and the owner about possible leads. His kind were rare, but not unknown. One at the bardic college, and another at the palace. It was hard to get details beyond "dark skin" because that's the first thing that people noticed. The Breton was a little more open-minded but they both still asked the usual questions - what was he doing so far north (to which his answer was an easy lie - that he was looking for a acquaintance that owed him money). The response was the usual one:

"30 septims"

"That's nothing"

"The amount isn't really important. It's the failure to pay"

And people just assumed he was yet another crazy Redguard. They ended up thinking less, laughing at his people, and hopefully reminded never to cross them.

The bard college would be a good start. He'd never had a good voice for singing, but had a keen ear for music. So, time to head back upstairs to get something a little warmer to wear outside. As he opened the door, he saw Lorelle sprawled out on the bed. He walked slowly over to her and sat down on the bed, trying to determine what - if anything - was wrong.

When the door opened she looked up to see Kellen entering the room. "You're back!" She sounded excited to have reunited with him after her big adventure. She pushed herself up to a sitting position and looked at him. "I did it. I got new clothes. I went by myself and got new clothes." She seemed quite proud of herself for such a small feat, her feet giving a celebratory swing as they hung off the edge of the bed.

But then her expression dropped and she honed in on the Hammerfell native. "Did you find anything out? Was he here?" She was not sure how long she was gone, it had been such a taxing task but Kellen had been busy just as long if not a little longer with his. She hoped that he had found something out that would help him in his quest.

He smiled at her, which lifted the normal frown from his face.

"It comes as second nature to me, being loud, proud, and outgoing. Probably even a little arrogant. I've travelled a lot, done a lot, and so difference isn't scary. Staying in one place has become a little... nerve-wracking at times. No one here, no-one you meet, is any better than you. If it helps, just look at them and imagine them straining on the toilet if they're all blocked up."

He makes a pained look for a moment, as if he's having a rough day.

"Just like that."

"But yes, I have two leads. The palace and the bard's college. I had no idea that bards even had such a thing. Come, show me your new clothes, and then come for a walk with me. The sunsets this far north still dazzle me somewhere."

That was just an example of their cultural differences. Had she grown up in Hammerfell she would surely be a different person entirely. She liked who she was as a person, though, she really did. It was just certain dangers that she could do without. Certain dangers that made her... nervous. His advise would not help but he did manage to win a smile and a laugh.

When he told her what he had found out she listened intently, nodding her head. “Well that’s good. Should we go to the bard’s college tonight? You will have to visit the palace on your own, but please, check with the courtwizard for fire books..”

She blushed when he told her to show him her clothes and take a walk with him. She reached over to them but rather than display them she folded them over. “You will see.... where are we walking to? Is it far?” She stood, ready to venture into Solitude again but this time with her protector near. She was shy about her new clothing and did not want to show him.

He saw her reluctance and didn't press further.

"I had thought of walking over to the Bardic college now - music is always good for the soul. And I have no really clue what kind of music your people listen to. I imagine... horns. Or maybe drums. But we'll certainly find out."

He put on a little more clothing, utterly un-fussed by what he looked like. But then people would always look at him strangely even if he wore the most stylish or elaborate clothing, or nothing at all. Well, they'd certainly look at him then, just the way she had.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to; if you would rather stay here, I can bring you back some dinner too. For that matter, what do you actually like to eat?"

"That might be interesting." She agreed to going to the bardic college. If she was to settle into the life of wandering- at least until she got to Winterhold- she would have to get used to seeing and experiencing new things. Otherwise she wasn't really travelling. She may as well try to enjoy it.

"No, I will go with you. Getting out and experiencing these things would be good for me." She reasoned what he likely already knew. She had lived a sheltered life, yes, but that was over now and these new experiences would perhaps help her to come out of her shell a little. Unless... her mind began to wander to what could go wrong possibly...

"You'll protect me if trouble arises?" The thought of trouble in Solitude was absolutely ludicrous, what with the guards wandering about and all. But hearing his assurance would still help to ease her mind.

"Eat? Oh, I will eat nearly anything." She stood from the bed and moved to the door, ready to start her new adventure: The Bard College.

He extended his arm to her, crooked, as if he was escorting her to a ball. "Small steps" he said, trying to be reassuring. But it probably just ended up looking a little silly.

The two of them wandered out into the early twilight. The people of Solitude had already started to light torches against the oncoming darkness. The scent of burning wood, mixed with that of the city, was pleasant.

"It feels like it gets dark so slowly here. But then in summer, it must stay light forever. Or... wait. Is this summer? Back home, twilight lasts for about 20 minutes."

The bardic college was easy to find - it stood out against the rest of the city as a beacon of light and music, and also fancy architecture. And was one of the taller buildings in the city.

"That, I think, is where we need to go. Do you know anything about it from your reading? From what I understand they teach people to play harps and so on"

Lorelle took his arm graciously as he offered it, smiling to herself at his small bit of advise. Small steps. But this was not a small step was it? This was quite a large step for Lorelle, arriving to a new city, a large and important city, exploring it. She truly should have been excited and perhaps later on that excitement would set in... but not at the moment. It was all still new and fresh to her, and frightening.

The city was even more beautiful at night. All around them torches were lit or being lit and the bustling street was much more quiet now. Lorelle was not quite as intimidated by this street now that it was settling down. "It's beautiful." She murmured under her breath at no one in particular. Able to more easily relaxed she looked around, absolutely devouring the sights.

She looked surprised when he told her that twilight only lasted twenty minutes back home. "Really.." she tucked that bit of information away with everything else she had learned about Hammerfell.

As they approached the bard college at last she squeezed his arm with her own ever so slightly, head craning back to take in the vast sight. "It's..." there were no words she could speak that could describe it. She looked at him as he asked about her knowledge of it. Her head shook.

"Only in passing, I know of its existence. Bards are not so common now, so they struggle. That is it."

"This is something of a new world to me" he says as he gestures up at the building. "I mean, I know conceptually what a bard is, but I had... well. I kind of assumed that they just learned on the job. I mean, there are weapons school at home, but they only accept you if you're already reasonably skilled."

The doors, however, were locked for the night. It seemed that here, even the bards went to bed. Or, perhaps more likely, to taverns.

"Well. We should reappear tomorrow then. Now, what would you like to eat? From the smell of it, everything here seems to be grilled or roasted"

She couldn't help but to grin widely as he seemed confused about the bard college. Things were indeed very different here. Usually there was previous knowledge, but if someone wished to learn, they would take them. She always found the idea of a bard to be a bit silly. Some enjoyed them, but she personally would not hire one for her party, let alone her home.

"Oh." She was disappointed that they had locked their doors for the night but there was always tomorrow, she just did not wish Kellen to get too far behind on his search. Especially since she slowed him down as well. He couldn't afford to lose much more time.

"Fish sounds lovely, but I'm not certain if the inn will have that." Everything but the inn seemed to be shutting down so it seemed they would have to settle with whatever food they had available. "I'm really not very picky Kellen." She tugged his arm to pull him along back the way they had come.

It took a little bit of wandering until they found a street vendor still open. He sold grilled fish and... some kind of thinly sliced tuber. Kellen had never seen the like, but it certainly smelled good. Salt, vinegar, and fish. He ordered two portions, and ate it with his fingers are they meandered back to the inn.

"Whatever this is, it's good. A little bland, but very tasty. Now. I have my agenda for tomorrow - bards and the palace. And find fire-magic books for you." It all seemed very simple.
