Repercussions of a Summons Gone Awry [Sera X Procyonix]

Ceci tensed, her gaze shifting from Dr. Ramis to her hands which were clasped in front of her. His hand was heavy as it settled on her shoulder and she feared she couldn't keep the truth from him. He was an adult, perhaps he could help her. She didn't know who the father was yet, and if it was his, what would he do? "Dr. Ramis..." She murmured quietly, stepping closer so that their conversation would not be overheard. "I truly am feeling under the weather...But..." She groaned softly and lifted her blue eyes to stare him, "Dr. Ramis...I'm pregnant..." Immediately after releasing the information she looked around them, checking to make sure nobody else heard her. Ceci was feeling extremely paranoid.

"I..I don't know who the father is...er...for obvious reasons..." She murmured quickly. The young girl was obviously in a panic as she gazed at her Principal, looking to him as if he were her only lifeline. "What do I do?" Ceci whispered.

Nodding at her statement in a fashion that he hopped was supportive to her, after all, he was her principal. “I understand now,” he told her. Thinking a moment he sighed. “Well,” he started his voice calm and as supportive as he could muster, “the first step is to get a blood test at the clinic and find out who the father is. But that wont be possible until the tenth week and has some risks. There is also non-invasive DNA testing that can be done at 7 weeks, but only four companies offer that. Fortunately, I believe there is on about four hours from here. I am sure Derek could take you there or I could if you wish.”

Caressing her cheek gently, he added, “And relax, it wont affect your chances to further your education. And I will give you the rest of the week off from visits to get through this stage of things. I wish you and your child, mine or not, to be healthy. I maybe a lot more to you, but I am still your principal and thus committed to you well-being.”

Looking over her shoulder, he saw Derek coming down the hallway. “Well I see Derek is coming, I will leave you for now so you can spend time with him. If you need me for anything, I will be in my Office, Cecilia.”

Ceci frowned. She didn't want to do any testing, but if she did, she felt going with Dr. Ramis was safer. She was afraid to tell Derek about the pregnancy. He'd be thrilled, but what if it wasn't his? "If...you would take me..." She murmured quietly, rubbing her arm nervously. "I'm not sure about telling Derek until I know it's his..." She admitted. "He'd want to know whose it was...and we already know I'm a terrible liar..." It was a relief that Dr. Ramis said her education was not going to be in jeopardy, but she still couldn't shake the unease that tensed her shoulders. Her gaze followed his as he spotted Derek and Ceci cursed softly. "Thank you, Dr. Ramis..." She murmured, turning away from him as he went to leave.

When Derek reached her locker she smiled, "How was practice, babe?" Ceci asked, wrapping an arm around his body and pulling herself against him as she usually did. She couldn't let on that anything was wrong or he'd ask her questions. Ceci pressed a kiss to his cheek sweetly, "I missed coming to school with you this morning..." She pouted. Even as she stood beside him she felt a roll of nausea, but she did her best to breathe slowly until it passed. One thing she couldn't change was the pallor of her skin, which was a dead give away that she wasn't exactly feeling her usual perky self.

She knew Derek wanted a child with her. He hadn't been shy about teasing her about the idea since they first started having sex. If it was his child, she knew he would be supportive. And likely a very good father. But she worried about how she would appear to the rest of the school. And Keith. What on earth would she tell Keith?

Derek arrived even as he could still see the principal's retreating form. “You in trouble? What did he want?” But slid his arms around her body as she wrapped herself into him. “Mmmmhmmmm. I missed that too, and our morning at the locker. Practice was alright, same old same old. Getting ready for the big homecoming game. Do you want to be my date to the dance?” He could see her pale complextion, and wondered what was wrong. Had Dr. Ramis upset her? Or was she sick? Kissing her softly, he could sense something was off. After, he had been created to want to love her, and to make her love him. But something along the line had changed. He become for lack of a better word, real. And more than that, he had gotten able to read his girlfriend very well in the last month, and she was hiding something. That made him nervous.

Stroking her hair softly, he whispered against her neck, “What's wrong, baby? You can tell me, I mean you know I love you. I will do whatever you need me to. Just tell me, I will always be here for you.” It occurred to him right after he'd said it. It was the first time he'd actually told her he loved her. He couldn't remember when he had known, but it felt like he'd always loved her. That didn't seem right on some level, but who was he to argue? He loved her, and if she didn't love him yet, he suspected she would before the end of the year. Since he had shown up, she'd shied away from the other men she had been with. Which made him very happy. Of course he also knew that while he wanted a child, there was still a chance one of the other boys had impregnated her before he'd arrived.

Ceci shook her head, "No..Not in trouble at all...He just wanted to tell me about a college scholarship that landed on his desk..." She lied, accepting Derek's embrace with a smile. At the mention of the dance she tensed. She'd completely forgotten. "Of course I'll be your date..." She said softly, only seconds before he kissed her. Whispered words of concern made her shiver and she burrowed against Derek's chest, seeking the warm comfort he offered her. I mean you know I love you... Her breathing stopped and her gaze shifted to stare at him with wide eyes. She had known his feelings were deep, but he'd never actually said the sentiment aloud. "D-Derek..." She hushed, her lips trembling. What could she say? Did she love Derek back? Or the same way? Ceci bit down on her lip and her brows furrowed with guilt and unease. "Babe..." She murmured, brushing her lips across his cheek.

Trying to shift the topic she sighed, "I'm just not feeling well today...I'm probably going to leave in a little while to go home and rest..." She answered his earlier question. "If I am sick..." She cleared her throat, pulling away slightly, "Maybe you should stay home tonight...I don't want to get you sick for the big game....I'd be the most hated girl in the school.." Her fingers wrapped around the edge of Derek's shirt and she tugged on it. "But call me still? Mmm?" She asked, lifting her pouting lips and puppy dog eyes for him to see. "Maybe I'll browse some dresses online while I'm alone...that way I can surprise you for the dance...?" The warning bell rang and she glared, annoyed that time slipped by so swiftly.

Ceci really needed to figure out what she was going to do. Derek wasn't a total idiot. He would figure out the truth with enough time. Perhaps it was better to tell him before he guessed. Her stomach rolled and she whimpered. "Maybe I should go home now..." She squeaked, pulling away from Derek.

Ok, now he knew something was wrong. But what? That she didn't want him coming over? She was ready to go home before even the first class started? He noted she didn't seem comfortable with his telling her he loved her. But it was fine, his ego wasn't hurt. She wore his chain every day, some days his letter jacket. So that told him enough. And that she had settled into a one man woman again with him spoke volumes. At least he thought she had. She'd given him no reason to doubt that. Holding her softly, he put his jacket on her again, and pulled the collar close around her. The jacket was of course to large for her, but he liked how she looked with it on regardless.

“You sure you're ok babe? I mean you are deathly pale, and you seem... I dunno, nervous almost. Those boys I chased out for you a month ago still prowling around? What's wrong, Ceci? I mean you proudly declare yourself as mine with the chain. There is no secret that we are a thing, a very hot thing. You can tell me anything, I promise I won't be upset. You're my girl, your problems are my problems. You seem very different today. Almost like you don't want to be around me. Have I upset you?” He needed to understand, how could he help if he didn't know what to help with.

Ceci's shoulders eased into a more relaxed state when his jacket slid over them. The moment of nausea was already passing, but she never knew when the next would hit. Morning sickness was a bullshit name. It was all the time anytime sickness and it sucked. It was obvious that Derek was skeptical of her excuses and she frowned, unsure of what else to tell him. "The guys haven't bothered me..." She assured him, resting her small hand against his broad chest. "You haven't upset me at all, Derek...I promise..." She leaned forward, lifting onto her toes to kiss his jaw softly. "Can't a girl have a sick day once in awhile?" She teased him gently. The next bell rang and she huffed, "I already told Dr. Ramis I wasn't feeling well...I've been given off if I need it..."

She felt a tremendous amount of guilt that she wasn't telling him, especially when she'd already told Dr. Ramis the truth. With a sigh she offered Derek a weak smile, "Look...why don't you stop by tomorrow morning before school? I'm sure I'll be feeling better physically by then and I'll tell you a secret, kay?" Ceci wrapped her hands around the edges of his jacket, pulling it tighter around him. "For now I just wanna go home and sleep...Don't worry so much, babe...I promise it's nothing for you to be worried about..." She was only partially lying. If it wasn't his baby he would have more to be worried about. She also doubted she'd be feeling better in the morning, but she just needed a night to get herself together. God, what if he comes over anyway to take care of me? She frowned, realizing with his personality, it was possible. "Now go on...get to class before you get in trouble..." Ceci winked playfully, "

Derek wasn't entirely comforted by her response. But that was the thing if you loved somebody, you respected their wishes even when you didn't like them. “Take care of yourself baby, and I expect phone calls tonight, unless you want me to show up...” he told her firmly. His deep brown eyes showed his concern, but also that he planned to respect her wishes. Kissing her before she left, he let the soft kiss linger before releasing her so she could go home. His eyes watched her until she was out of sight, and with a sigh, he went to class, unable to shake a lingering sense of something being wrong.

Once outside the school the cold wind picked up reminding her that it was autumn, No sooner had she stepped off school grounds that she found herself not alone. Surrounding her, she found Kevin, Tyler, and John. Tyler as always was the leader. “So,” he scowled at her dressed in his black leather jacket. All three of them were dressed alike: confederate flag t-shirts under leather biker jackets with worn jeans. “You don't look so good, Ceci... your black boyfriend put a baby in you? Or is it one of us? Last time I saw anyone as pale as you was when my sister got knocked up last year,” his voice was a low menacing growl. “Now, you blew us off as soon as you hooked up with your new black stud.... We want what's ours... So be good girl, and invite us over for a fun filled afternoon of fucking you silly,” he finished as he pulled a switch blade out of his jacket to reinforce her options.

Regardless of her confused feelings towards Derek, she appreciated his concern. She shot him a smile over her shoulder as she started to walk away, her purse with her so she had everything she needed. She still had Derek's jacket over her shoulders as she got outside, thankful for it when the chilled wind blew past her. Ceci held back a shiver as she walked, deciding the fresh air was better for her than getting back in her car. She didn't live too far from the school and figured she could walk home and get Derek to drive her back in the morning.

Lost in her thoughts she didn't immediately notice the boys that had followed her off the school's property. But as she got to a more secluded street, away from the main road and any passing strangers, they stepped into her path. Ceci looked up, startled out of her thoughts. Their outfits made her roll her eyes, but their comments made her tense. How could they see right through her? "Fuck off, Tyler...." She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at the three of them. "Maybe if you three had some manners I wouldn't have blown you off..." She retorted. There was no way in hell she was going to invite them over. But when her eyes landed on the switch blade in Tyler's hand, she gasped. "Are you threatening me?" She asked in disbelief. It shouldn't have surprised her. She knew they weren't afraid to be forceful, but a blade? She hadn't been expected it.

"You're fucking bluffing..." Ceci said, her voice tight with nerves. She started to walk past them, choosing to act brave and see through their lies. They wouldn't hurt her. Derek would kick their asses. Before she got passed Tyler, he reached out and grabbed her, pulling her toughly against his chest. "Get off!" She snapped, shoving her hands against his chest. The sharp point of a knife was pressed to her stomach and she froze. "That's what I thought you fucking slut..." Tyler breathed. Ceci's heart was lodged in her throat as she stared up at him, the fear obvious in her expression. He seemed to eat it up, his grip on her arm tightening until she whimpered with pain. Pulling the blade away he shoved her towards John, who caught her around the waist and held her tightly. "I'm not fucking any of you..." She warned, feeling somewhat relieved that a blade wasn't pressing to her anymore. "I'll scream..." She threatened, but gasped when John's grip tightened to painful degrees. Ceci glared at Tyler who motioned for them to follow him. "You don't want to invite us over? Fine, we'll fuck you outside like an animal...

Ceci struggled against the arms that held her and John grunted with annoyance. His grip was getting tighter, moving from her waist to her ribs where she could feel the bones protesting the pressure. They headed off the street they were on, edging closer to a small patch of woods behind some homes. She kicked her legs, biting back a cry. They stopped right inside the treeline and Tyler stepped forward, grabbing her hair and jerking her attention to him as she struggled. Ceci gritted her teeth and looked up at him, still kicking her legs around violently. She managed to kick him between the legs and he cursed, stumbling back with murder in his angry gaze. Panic swelled in her chest and tears pricked at her eyes. She wanted to go home.

Kevin stepped closer and grabbed her legs, struggling to keep her still as she writhed and shouted at them. "Shut her the fuck up!" Tyler snapped. John removed one arm from around her body, clapping it down over her mouth and squeezing her jaw until she squeaked behind it and quieted down. Tyler was finally standing up straight again, his hand clutching his blade tighter as he stepped forward. He pressed the blade to the V in her shirt, his breathing heavy as he glared at her. With harsh, jerking motions, he cut down her shirt, popping the buttons off and not caring as he ripped the fabric with the sharp blade. A sharp pain stabbed through her head and she flinched, her entire body jerking to the point that the blade in Tyler's hand nicked her stomach. "See what happens when you can't stay still? He taunted her. Ceci was pissed. She bit down on John's hand. But it was strange because he reacted as if she'd tased him. He roared in pain and released her, leaving just Kevin to hold her legs, causing her to hit the ground with a painful jolt. "Ow, fuck!" She hissed, Kevin released her legs for a moment in confusion, shooting John a confused glare. As Kevin reached down for her she kicked out, the strength behind her kick much harder than she'd expected. Kevin stumbled back with a curse. As he stumbled, Ceci didn't notice the root that rose in his path, tripping him so he fell back.

Ceci scrambled to her feet, but John had recovered and stood up to grab her wrist, pulling her backwards. "Let GO!" She cried, wrenching her arm away as she turned her attention to Tyler. John cursed, running into an unseen wall that Ceci didn't notice behind her. He fell back again, landing on his ass with a loud curse. "Take your stupid friends and get the hell away from me, Tyler..." She screamed, her fists clenched at her sides. Unbeknownst to Ceci, her locked away magic was finding little ways to slip out and help her in her time of need. Manifesting in ways she didn't even notice or think twice about.

Tyler looked pissed as he approached her, holding out the blade in front of him. Ceci slapped his hand away, ignoring the pain as she grazed her hand with the edge of the blade. But it had the desired effect. Tyler dropped the knife, but he didn't stop approaching her. She stepped backwards, her lips pulled back in a furious snarl. "I said leave me alone!!" She charged him, shoving him with all of her strength. To her surprise, he fell back, losing his balance and collapsing to the dirt beneath him. But he screamed when he did. The switchblade had shifted position while everyone's attention was focused elsewhere. When Tyler fell, the blade had shifted into an angle that would pierce right through him. And it did. Tyler rolled onto his side, a blade embedded into his side, a steady trickle of blood escaping him. Ceci was horrified and she stepped back, raising a hand to her lips as she stared down at Tyler's groaning form. John and Kevin stepped forward, their focus shifting away from her and to their friend. "You fucking bitch!" Kevin hissed.

"I'm not a bitch!" Ceci snapped back. Kevin left John to tend to Tyler as he charged towards her. Ceci yelped, dodging a punch just as it came for her. Kevin seemed to trip over a conveniently placed root and fell to the ground, smacking his head on a large grouping of rocking she hadn't noticed before. Blood immediately gushed from Kevin's nose, which also cracked against the rocks. "I told you to leave me alone!" She cried, scrambling towards the edge of the woods. While they were otherwise occupied by their injuries, she was getting the hell away.

Two weeks after arriving in Acre, Alaric and his band of troops had made it to Cairo. If there was ever a place that the Templars would feel unwanted, it would be here. It was the cultural capital of the Islamic world. They had surrendered their tabards to the governor of Acre, stating an oath to forgo their business as Knights Templar to move through the Muslim world as pilgrims. They had a writ of passage, and thus far there had been few set backs. They didn't stop there, they continued down the Nile towards Luxor, the ancient capitol of the Pharaohs.

After several long days finding a boat captain that would take them there, they finally arrived at their destination. Climbing from his horse, Alaric looked around. The calling he felt led down a barely visible path down into the sands below the great Temple of Karnak. He truly had no idea of what he would find here. Lighting torches, he and three of his men entered the cave at the base of the path. The ancient site was cold and damp, with skeletons everywhere of men who had died here. But who were they? The Ancient Egyptians mummified both kings an poor people alike. The skeletons had to be tomb robbers. But there was no tomb here, was there? The further down the maze of twisting corridors and empty chambers, the cool air was replaced by heat. The unmistakable smell of sulfur filled the air. And Alaric suddenly knew what had to be here: Rakith. Telling his men to go back to the others, he took a torch in one hand and his trusty blade in the other. Making the last turns he came into a room where Rakith lay suspended. His body seemed ravaged. Open sores everywhere. “Lord Rakith?” he asked softly.

The demon's head lolled upwards after a moment, his eyes sharp as ever, “Alaric. How ironic that you come to my rescue. The man I didn't fully trust. You have earned it now, and I am sorry for doubting you. I will be able to break free soon,I can feel my strength returning from the bond we share through our beloved Ceci. But you must go to her. She is lost in a world in the future, where she doest not remember us, magic, or anything. And Ozramis has her bedding half the High School she is at. Go to her, Alaric. Help her. She needs us. She needs you,” he groaned in a heavy thick voice. Nodding at the swirling portal, he told him, “He makes me watch her through that. I believe that it will take you to her world. Make haste and good luck,” Rakith finished.

Alaric nodded, “Of course Lord Rakith. My life for our girl.” Moving to the portal and he stepped through. When he arrived on the other side, he saw his clothing had changed. Gone was the armor and sword. He now found himself in some sort of very comfortable clothing compared to what he as used to. And he stood next to some large leviathan made of metal and glass. Somehow, he knew it was called a “car” and that it was his. And the keys were in his pocket. Shrugging, he got in.

After fleeing the woods, Ceci had stumbled her way home. Once inside she locked all the doors and windows to make sure nobody was going to come in and disturb her. Then she showered, washing the filth from the attack off of her body. The small cut on her abdomen stung when the water hit it, but she did her best to ignore it. After showering she slipped on a soft cotton nightgown and slid into bed. It was still early, but she was exhausted both physically and mentally. Did she tell Derek about the attack? No, he has enough to worry about with the big game coming up... She argued with herself. He'd just get worried about her if he knew she was getting targeted when he wasn't around. Then there was the really big question. Did she tell him about the baby in the morning? A groan escaped her pink lips as she grabbed her phone from the side of the bed.

She sent him a quick text to let him know she was home and in bed and if she didn't answer his calls or texts it was because she was sleeping. After a few trips to the bathroom to fight with her "morning" sickness, she fell into a restless sleep. Ceci was clearly stressed and it was effecting her in many ways. When she awoke in the morning it was to the gentle caress of a familiar face. "Derek..." She muttered drowsily. He'd used her hidden key outside to unlock the door she assumed, because she still hadn't given him a key even with his teasing requests. "Morning..." Ceci mumbled with a yawn, her blue eyes blinking away her restless slumber. Slowly she sat up and leaned into Derek, who had sat down beside her. "I hope you didn't miss me too much last night...." She teased him quietly, still fighting to keep her eyes open.

Ceci still felt like crap. Her skin was pale and her eyes sunken in from lack of a restless night sleep. She bitterly wondered when the "healthy glow" of pregnancy started to kick in. Obviously it wasn't an early side effect. Derek's close proximity made her feel somewhat better and she leaned on him for more comfort and strength. "Still gonna take me to school this morning?" She asked, tilting her head back to smile up at him and coax his lips close for a kiss.

Derek smiled at her as she woke. This probably wasnt the time to tell her that he had come over last night after she had gone to bed, let himself in and made sure she was safe. Having slept on the sofa, he had only just finished picking up after himself. “Yeah, babe,” he told her, “if you are up to it. You gonna tell me whats going on?”

He had stumbled across the the beat up boys as they tried to get back into school the day before. And unlike everyone else in the school, he knew they had connections to her. So he put the squeeze on Ken and found out what had happened. He was proud of his girl. Three boys against her, one with a switchblade, and she walked away while they licked their wounds. Damn, he was proud of her.

“I ran into your friends last night, found out how you smoked their asses,” he grinned at her, “I can't tell how proud I am of you, Ceci baby. My girl has big brass ones.” He kissed her softly. “But you still look like shit. And I found this in the trash,” he told her, holding up the box of the pregnancy test. “Anything I should know?” His tone was soft, sweet, and gentle. There was no accusation in his voice, only concern for her.

Ceci pouted, her eyes wide with guilt when Derek asked her again if she was going to tell him what was going on. Then he mentioned the guys and she looked at him with a surprised expression. He knew what happened. Shyly, she glanced down at the blankets in her lap. She hadn't expected anyone to find out. At least it meant it was one less thing she had to consider hiding from him. And the fact that he was proud of her made her lips curl into a small smile. For a few moments she felt like everything was okay, but then she saw the box he held up and his understanding and concerned tone broke her. Ceci started to cry, lifting her hands to press them to her cheeks as emotion overwhelmed her.

"D-Derek...." She cried, hiding her face from him as she brought her knees up to her chest. He knew she'd been hiding the truth from him now. And she still didn't know if it was his baby or not. He wasn't acting angry or nasty with her, instead he seemed to be nothing but sweet and loving. Anger would have been easier to deal with. That she deserved. "I found out yesterday...." She hiccuped with a sob and her shoulders shook, "I...I've been sick for a few days...And..I...didn't know...." She paused to let a few sobs escape her lips, "I didn't know how to tell you...." Ceci admitted, her cheeks red with shame. "I..don't know...." She glanced up at him, her blue hues clearly filled with distress and guilt, "Don't know how far along I am....So...I don't know who the father is...." There. The truth was out.

Ceci slowly felt her cries fading, but her lips still trembled and tears still rolled down her cheeks. "I didn't want to hurt you...." She murmured sadly, "I thought I should wait...But...you found out on your own..." Her hands clenched into fists, "Which is worse! Because that wasn't fair to you..." She whined, feeling her guilt rear its ugly head again.

Derek listened to her guilt ridden confession and for a moment his head spun. She was pregnant. She didn't know how many weeks in she was, so she didn't know whose it was. It could easily be as many as six different men's that he knew of, since he didn't know about the principal. She didn't know how to tell him because she was afraid... of him getting angry if it wasn't his? As much as he hated to admit it, he knew her fear wasn't unfounded. He had made it very clear that he wanted a child with her. So if she did a blood test, and no African-American blood or DNA was found she was afraid he would leave her or worse.

He took her into his arms softly, and gently stroked her hair. “Do I hope it's mine, of course sweetheart. I've not hidden that desire at all,” he told her softly. Lifting her chin up so his deep brown eyes faced her brilliant blue ones, he told her firmly, “But if it's not mine, I'll still love it like it were. You are my woman. And I am not going to let an accident before we got to know one another get in our way. Soon as football season is done, I'll get a job to take care of you and the baby. It'll be alright.”

Then he kissed her softly, gentle and affectionate. Telling her that all would be alright. She had nothing to fear. “So what's the plan from here, babe? Do you need to go to the doctor to find out how far along you are? Or anything? If you need a ride, you know I'm there for you, Cecil”

Ceci gazed up into Derek's eyes as he spoke, her lips parting in surprise at his words. She was speechless as his lips lowered to kiss her. For a moment she didn't kiss him back, still stunned by his comforting words. But seconds later she was returning his loving kiss, her lips moving gently against his until he pulled away and she was left to stare up at him again. "Derek...I can't expect you to take care of me and this child..I can't...You're preparing for college...To get scholarships for football...That's supposed to be your focus..." Guilt refused to stay at bay. It threatened to overwhelm her as she sat beside him, her shoulders lightly slumped.

"I'll call the doctor today I guess..." She explained, her voice soft and tired. "She'll be able to tell me more than I know now..." Glancing at the clock and sighed, "I won't need a ride...I don't want you to worry about any of this until I know more...okay?" She pressed a kiss to his lips and rose to her knees. "You need to get through the big game..and we're going to go to homecoming together..." She mused, "The baby...isn't going anywhere..." She lifted her arms and wrapped them around his neck, leaning into him. "If I dive into this head first...I'm going to get overwhelmed and start panicking...I'm just going to try and take it a day at a time..okay?" She pressed her lips to his cheek and then his nose. "I'll just keep you updated until I know what's going on..okay?"

Ceci kissed his lips once more before she slowly slid from her bed and started to grab things for the school day ahead. "But I guess we should get ready for school? I can't miss two days in a row...as much as I'd love to lay around in bed all day and let you hold me..." She sent him a playful wink.

Derek smiled at her. She was trying to protect him, even as he was trying to take care of you. “I wont start working until after the season. And my scholarship is already lined up. Once I am there, well the boosters take care of their top recruits and their families. So it wont be a problem so long as you and I go to the same college. Let your Man be a man and take care of his girl.” He kissed the top of her forehead softly. Enjoying the last few cuddle moments they had, he nodded. Taking her hand, he lead her down to his car.

“And Ceci,” he said softly, “it will be alright.” Once in the car, he smiled at her. “We gonna do the locker thing today? Or not up to it? I would understand if you aren't. But I thought a little passion and raging hormones might keep your stomach in check,” he teased lightly. The drive was short and they parked the car in the student lot before he held the door for her to guide her inside.

Alaric turned his head, he thought he had a glimpse of Ceci in another of these... car.. things. She had a man with her, a dark skinned African. Must be from the interior of Africa he decided. What a welcoming place this must be that even a poor villager could get one of these cars. So he decided to follow. Once she got out of the car, there was no doubt it was Ceci, and his heart started to pound.

Derek was being sweet and Ceci couldn't help but feel a little more at ease. He insisted that everything was going to be alright and she told herself that she needed to trust him. She needed to trust someone. When they got in the car, she buckled her seat belt and turned to look at him, her lips curling into a small grin, "I think you just missed me all night and want to make up for lost time..." She told him with a small laugh. Ceci considered it and nodded, "I think I can handle some locker fun this morning..." Ceci shot him a wink before he started to drive.

Once they reached the school, she jumped out and grabbed Derek's hand, holding it and walking close to him as they headed into the school. She gave him an appreciative smile when he held the door for her and bit her lip shyly. "You're always such a gentlemen, Derek..." She teased, once more settling close to him as they walked towards the hall that held their lockers. Ceci pulled her hand away as they reached the end of the locker corridor, where there were a few less students around. She bit her lip again, giving Derek a playful and teasing expression as she slowly backed up until her back hit her locker. "Gentlemen get special gifts..." She mused, "So come claim yours...." She curled her finger in a coaxing manner.

Already Ceci could feel her body preparing for Derek's touch. Her pulse increased as she waited with eager anticipation. When he was close enough, she reached out and grabbed his jacket, pulling him against her so they could kiss. Her hand immediately slid to the front of his pants, massaging him until a heavy bulge appeared and she peered up at him with a grin. "Looks like you're ready for me...." Ceci peeked around him to see how many students were around. Most were used to the display by now, but Ceci was still careful about who was around to see their morning locker show.

Derek smiled and pressed her back against the locker as he lifted her up as he usually did. “You know I love you, right baby? I really do. They say there is a man for every woman out there, and a woman for every man. I think you're the one for me. Nobody has ever made me feel this way before. And it's not just the great sex. You have a sweetness that hides behind the sexual dynamo that you are. Almost an innocence even. I love that you have some of that left, even the virgins today seem to talk smack and act like trashy little bitches.. But not you, you have class.” He started to help her move her clothing as they started their sex.

Alaric had spotted the way the two leaned into one another, and his blood ran cold. She was with that villager? No wonder she had said that everything was wrong in his dream. She couldn't possibly be interested in that beast. He was massive, with a raw animal-ism in his movements. Like a giant jungle cat, hunting its prey, except the prey was already caught it seemed. Well he would have to do something about that.

As he entered the school, a short old bald headed man stopped him at the door, “Well there, Ricky my boy.. You've been truant now for over a month. What do you have to say to that?” Of course, unknown to Alaric, he was staring at the Demon Lord behind all this fantasy.

For his part, he shrugged, “I understand your words, but not their meanings. But if you forgive me, I have to be somewhere.” He tried to go after Ceci, but the shorter man had an iron grip on his arm. The malicious look in his eyes made Alaric shiver in spite of himself.

Ceci's eyes held an expression of affection as Derek spoke, making her feel like the most important person in his world. She clutched the front of his shirt as her legs wrapped around him. With her clothes adjusted and his pants unzipped, there was little to nothing separating them. She felt the warmth of his cock as it pressed between her open legs and it brought a sharp gasp from her lips as she hung onto him. He'd said he loved her again. She had yet to say it back to him and she felt guilty about that. Perhaps it was time? Did she love Derek? She loved things about him. How sweet he was. How caring. How he was so willing to protect her and take care of her. Was that love? You love Keith.. A voice tried to argue. Keith who disappeared and left her alone. Derek didn't do that. Derek was everything she needed. Ceci smiled, "I love you too, Derek..." Ceci whispered softly, sealing their lips together in a deep kiss as she tightened her legs around him.

He brushed the slick entrance to her sex and she moaned against his lips, her body yearning to be one with him. Derek knew her body like the back of his hand. He knew everything that could drive her crazy and that was just another thing she knew she loved about him. When he finally stopped teasing her and thrust deeply within her, she cried out, their lips parting for a moment while she announced her pleasure. As always, she clung to Derek desperately with each thrust he gave her, her body easily responding to his attention.

"Derek," Ceci moaned, her fingers clutching his shoulders as her head tilted to the side, encouraging him to kiss the exposed skin of her neck. Soon enough she felt her body climbing to the height of her climax and she moaned his name repeatedly, her eyes clenched tightly shut as her breathing increased. "Oh God..." She cried. Pleasure overtook her and nothing else existed as she rode out the blissful high he'd brought her. Ceci had no idea that they had a new pair of eyes quickly approaching. All she cared about was the man still buried deeply within her heated depths, his cock pulsing out his own release as aftershocks of ecstasy took her breath away. With her back pressed firmly to the lockers, she was finally at peace. She felt no worry over her pregnancy, or fear over who the father was. She felt like everything was as it was supposed to be. The confusing voice in her head was quiet and she had nothing to worry about but pleasure.

Derek moaned hard when he finally heard the three words he so desperately wanted to hear from her: I love you. His soul was alive and flying as if nothing could bother them ever again. Her climax came before his, but not by much. He pumped spurt after spurt into her, knowing he couldn't get her pregnant again after all. In that moment of the afterglow of their declarations of love and the heat of their sex, Derek felt like an Olympian god. All was right in his world. His girl was going to have a child, and his or not, they would raise it together. He rested his forehead against hers, savoring the moment with his woman.

Alaric arrived just in time to hear Ceci's statement of love, followed by both of their climaxes. And he was stunned. He felt like ice had formed in his stomach and been twisted like a knife. Worse yet, he knew that Rakith would see it as well. And for that, he felt a deep sense of sadness for them both. Of course it wasn't real and he knew that, but she clearly didn't.

Storming up to the pair, he forcefully pulled Derek off of her and turned the larger man to face him. “Get your hands off her,” he growled menacingly. He had after all been a Knight Templar for the last six months. He had an idea of honor and protecting the helpless. Balling his fist he drove it into the larger man's face, aiming for the nose, but striking the jaw instead, Derek was simply too tall for him. “Take that you filthy animal!” Alaric growled deeply. The change in heights of men in the last half millennia showed significantly now. Alaric had been talk and powerfully built in his time, but by the modern standard, well he was small.

Derek felt himself being pulled from Ceci, and even as he was spun around, he made sure to set her down on her feet safely. Then he took the punch in the chops. He heard the slurs thrown at him by the stocky little white guy. He recognized him as Rick, the brother of her old boyfriend, the two of them had left her over a month ago, and now he dared act all high and mighty as if he owned her? Well fuck that shit. The powerful football player drove his body into the midsection of the smaller man and tacked him in a perfectly timed hit. Once he had the smaller man pinned below him, he started to pummel him with powerful punch after powerful punch. Rick's face was swelling and his nose bleeding. That stopped him. He'd done enough damage. “Your brother and you gave up your claim on her when you left her to the wolves. She's my woman now, and you touch her or me again and I will put you in the dirt, got it?” The snarl was deep and primal, a panther protecting his mate.

Ceci was smiling like an idiot when suddenly she felt a jerking sensation that threw off her blissful state of mind. With a yelp, she felt Derek getting pulled away from her, but not before he managed to set her on her feet. She felt suddenly empty with the disappearance of his body and warmth and she whimpered in frustration before she realized what was happening. Slowly she focused in on the situation occurring and her lips parted in a gasp, her eyes wide. Rick! Ceci felt dizzy, her head suddenly hurting as her vision spun. So many thoughts started to assault her and she couldn't even begin to sort through them. The young woman slowly slumped against the lockers, lowering herself to the floor as she watched the two men fight. Or Rick try to fight and lose terribly. Where had he come from? He'd been gone with Keith for a full month! With no calls or texts or anything!

The floor was cold beneath her and she shivered, fully aware of how she needed to go to the bathroom and clean herself up, their sexual releases mingling between her legs. But she couldn't move. She felt like she was supposed to be embarrassed that Rick had come across her in such a state, but she didn't. She just felt anger and shock. Derek finally stopped pummeling Rick's face and Ceci found her feet, her steps wobbling as she walked the short distance to the two young men. "Derek..." she murmured, her voice trembling. He was fierce and it scared her a little. Even if he was doing it on behalf of her, of them, it was still terrifying to see how powerful he could be. Rick was still important to her- right? She found she was confused with that thought as she stared down at his swelling face and bleeding nose. "Derek..no more..okay?" She insisted, placing her hand on his shoulder and curling her fingers into his shirt. Ceci gently tugged on the fabric to get him to forget about Rick. "Please..." The way her voice shook would make it obvious she was uncomfortable, scared even. She felt weird.

Looking down at Rick made her feel odder still and she realized she just wanted to get away. "You should probably get to the nurse, Rick..." Ceci said blandly, her eyes narrowed and her cheeks flushed. "Oh...." She bit her lip for a second before deciding what she wanted to say, "And maybe try calling next time, asshole. Let your brother know he's not in my good graces either..." Her anger finally surfaced out of her discomfort and fear, all pointing towards Rick. Turning her attention back to Derek she smiled, "Babe, come on..." Ceci stepped away, returning to her locker and situating her clothes before she popped open the door and grabbed a few books. She was trying really hard not to think about the young man with the broken face. Something in her wanted to kneel down and help him, but a stronger part was telling her he was bad news and had hurt her. He had hurt her. Him and Keith both. Derek was better for her. Dr. Ramis was better for her. They hadn't disappeared and left her to fend for herself.

A thought occurred to her as she turned to look at Derek. "Derek..." She laughed, "Are you my big wolfie?" She teased, making note of what he'd said to Rick. That she'd been 'left to the wolves'. "Come on, boy...I'll give you a treat if you're a good boy..." She continued to tease him, finding the actions kept her mind off of Rick. She had a feeling she could ignore him for only so long.

Derek nodded as she pleaded with him. “I was done already, babe, but thanks for reminding what is important. Not him, not his brother, but us, your baby and us. Nothing else matters to me,” he told her gently. Without another look at the fallen man, he waited until she said her piece, and wrapped his arm against her as he lead her to her next class. “I'm not your wolf, babe... I'm the panther that protects you from the wolves. Remember how we met?” he teased her gently. “Those carrion pickers were trying to take advantage of your needs. Make you something that you don't need to be.”

Laying on the ground, Alaric snarled, down but not defeated, “You aren't even real... None of this is.. “ but it was too late, they were gone. The vision of the thick white sticky semen dribbling from her puffy pussy lips had nearly been too much as she had told him off. He had of course, only one question... Who the fuck was this Rick and Keith everyone talked about?

The words may have been lost on Ceci, but Derek heard them. And he knew on some level that they were right. But no, that wasn't quite right.. He HADN'T been real to start with. No. he knew something had changed. No, something about Ceci had changed him. Derek was no longer a mindless soulless simulacrum. Now he was so much more. And he knew that the Principle was involved in some way. How? Was he the puppet master? He would need to understand more before acting. But he loved her, and no matter the cost to him, he would protect her until he no longer could.

Ceci grinned, "My panther...." With a small laugh she walked with Derek to class, trying to forget about Rick and the things he said. At the door to her classroom she reached out and pulled Derek in for a kiss. "You've got practice after school...." She pouted, "I'm not going to stay for it...I kinda wanna go home and get some rest..But you should come over when you're done..okay?" She gave Derek a hug and then fled into the classroom. Classes were long and boring and when it was finally time to go home, she was relieved. Ceci had several papers to write and she was a bit thankful that Derek was going to be busy with practice and the guys for several hours. It would give her time to get some work done. She knew if he came over right after school she wouldn't be able to get anything accomplished.

She went to her locker after her last class to grab her backpack, purse, and car keys. While Derek had driven her to school in the morning, her car was still in the parking lot from the day before when she walked home. On her way to the exit of the school, she stopped, hearing Rick's voice around the corner. Do you know who Keith it? And Rick? I keep hearing about a Keith and a Rick...? Ceci's brows furrowed, her lips twisting in a frown as she stepped around the corner and saw the student Rick was talking to. The student looked confused and unsure how to respond to him. "Rick?" Ceci called in frustration. What was he doing? Closing the distance between them, she shot an apologetic smile to the student Rick had been interrogating. Rick didn't even know the kid, why the hell was he asking them questions like that? "Sorry...I've got it..." She murmured before the kid ran off.

"Rick...what's wrong with you?" She snapped, crossing her arms and shaking her head. "You sound like a crazy person...You can't go around demanding answers to your questions from complete strangers..." She glanced over her shoulder, "I'm pretty sure that's a Freshman..Why would they know you and your brother...?" She questioned with a sigh. The longer she looked at Rick, the longer she realized something was really wrong. Why did he seem like he had no idea what was going on? "Are you feeling okay?" Her earlier anger was starting to fade and she wondered if something more was going on that she thought. She had just figured Rick and Keith had run off and stopped caring about her, but maybe there was more going on behind the scenes. "What's your last name?" She asked, her eyes narrowed as she waited for an answer.

Alaric was frustrated. Ceci and the villager had both referred to a Rick and a Keith as if he should know them. Yet when he asked people, either they shrugged as if that meant something, or worse yet were the ones who looked at him as if he had lost his mind. Finally, he heard Ceci arrive, and she started to talk to him like he was crazy. That hurt, but he had to remember she was on her own, and needed his protection. So close to her, he could feel her more than sense her. What was troublesome, was he couldn't sense the Well of Eternity here. There was no magic available to him here. He was just a man, a young one at that.

Turning to her he sighed softly, slightly exasperated, “Again with this Rick thing... Who is...” And then said something about him and his brother, and called him Rick. Rick....Alaric? Perhaps. Was this Keith person, Rakeith? It was plausible, but why the name games? Finally, he let out a deep sigh. “Ok, Ceci, your name is Ceci here right? That hasn't changed? My name is Alaric Fitzwilliam, remember? I lived in Dorsettshire when you lived in the woods. Remember? And why can't I feel the Well here? Or our bonding? What is going on here.. Snap out of it....Please...” he nearly begged the last.

Then he saw the figure of the man who had stopped him in the entrance to the school again. And he didn't look happy. Did he ever? “Mr. Williams, I believe Cecilia has places to be, and your are delaying her unnecessarily. You and I will have words tomorrow in my office, first thing. Now, Cecelia run along like a proper young lady,” he glared daggers at Alaric. The sense of dread was palpable as if the man bore him some tremendous hatred.

Ceci stared at Rick like he had six heads. "Rick..." She whined, "This isn't funny at all..." She was getting frustrated that he was acting so strangely. What in the hell was the Well of Eternity? "Your name is Alaric Fitzwilliam?...What in the hell are you talking about....?" Ceci shook her head, shifting her backpack on her shoulder. She looked uncomfortable when he mentioned a bond. What kind of bond was he talking about? She knew they'd had a couple slip-ups and things were weird between them because of her relationship with Keith, but a bond? Ceci's unease continued to increase the longer he was talking. Had he gotten into an accident?

Snap out of it. Her eyes narrowed and she sighed. "You snap out of it, Rick!" She huffed. How dare he think something was wrong with her when it was obvious that he was the one with the issues. She glanced to the side when she saw the Principal approach, her shoulders tensing slightly. He didn't look very happy. "Dr. Ramis..." She announced, offering him a small smile. Stepping closer to Dr. Ramis she smiled more genuinely, "I wanted to thank you again for letting me go home early yesterday...I really appreciate it. Though I am sorry we missed our appointment..." Ceci looked away shyly and then glanced at Rick. "I think Rick is feeling a little under the weather...He should probably go home and lay down..." She insisted. "Go easy on him, Dr. Ramis..." She teased.

Pulling her keys into her hand she nodded, "But I'll get home now...I need to write some papers. Dr. Ramis...do we have any appointments scheduled for this week?" She asked softly as she started to leave. She got his answer before she headed down the hall to go to her car, leaving Rick with Dr. Ramis in the hallway. She needed to figure out what was wrong with Rick and determine if something similar was wrong with Keith. Was that why they were gone for so long? Was Keith back yet? By the time she reached her car she had decided she wasn't happy with the idea of leaving Rick to fend for himself. She wanted answers. She felt she deserved that much at least. What if he really did have some kind of memory loss?

Instead of driving away, she sat in her car and waited for a few minutes, waiting for Rick to come out of the front door. Maybe he was just putting on a show while they were in public. Some way to get off the hook for skipping school?
