Even In Death (Tag: Mr Master)

"Oh, shit, I knew I forgot something," he said, standing and turning toward her. He stepped close and took her arm, guiding her gently back toward his room.

"Look, I'm sorry it's so messy, but it's private, and the bed's not uncomfy," he said with a smile. He found it comfortable, but not everybody liked the same firmness or softness of a mattress. He opened the door and showed her his room. "Just... do me a favor and don't go reading my diary, okay?" he joked. Although he did hope she didn't exactly poke around everywhere. Not that his room held anything unusual, but nobody likes to think somebody's going to find their minor stash of pornography or whatever.

"You know where the bathroom is, the kitchen is just over there, I'll put out a cup for you if you want some water or something, and I'll be out in the living room if you need me." He looked at her seriously. "You're not alone in this, Em. Just... don't make any life-altering decisions before you've had a good night's sleep, okay?"

She blinked. "I wasn't gonna." She said with a nod. "I am good for the night when it comes to decisions." She said with a shrug. Now that she was down, she was a little more rational, even at the cost of reality hitting her like a ton of bricks. She sighed. "And you don't have to worry about me snooping. I wasn't planning on taking your bed." She explained quietly. "I really don't feel comfortable displacing you." She said as she leaned against the wall. "It's a nice thought, but I already owe you alot." Em explained, looking off to the side. It looked like she was none too proud of her little escape habits.
"

Nick smiled. "I'm afraid I have to insist. You're the one who's had the rougher night, Em. You get the bed. Now, if you're as tired as I am, go ahead and hit the sack. You can't have the couch, I call that, and there's not enough room for two unless they're very close..." He suddenly stopped, aghast at how he had suddenly brought up the idea of the two of them... that was something fo rthe back of his brain, not to actually say to her.

She smirked hearing him stop. "Don't worry about it." She said. "Lemme guess, you were refraining from saying things like that so you didn't sound like a skeez?" She asked as she went into the room, grabbed the blankets and pillows, then headed out. She plopped down on the floor in the livingroom and laid out the blankets, working on making a bed. "And insist as you will, I'm not taking the bed." She said. She'd sleep on the floor.
