Diego blushed at hearing Luciana's sweet complimented at him, but he smiled at the same time. Diego was also happy to hear that Luciana was very much enjoying herself wih the food and he noted she got the enchiadas. He blushed brighter at hearing her comment about him kissing and he happily leaned forward to return tohe kiss to his beloved. It was very nice being able to be with her. They were a sweet yet spicy couple now, weren't they?
"Actually there are. There are plenty of sweet stops here. Chocolate actually wasn't originally sweet. It was originally a bitter beverage that was a ritualistic drink," Diego started to explain to Luciana. "Despite that, it's very important. Being paid in cacao beans was considered a noble treat. And then, when the Hispania folk arrived and warred with some of the tribes, they discovered the drink and experimented with it. Added different types of milk or sugar and over time, that was how chocolate was born. And the modern Atzlanian people adore it and we're proud that we're the home of it, though we've used ingrediants more commonly here, like agave as the sweetener instead of sugar for example," Diego explains to her with a smile on his face. He was always fascinated with the process of making chocolate and it was something he even did in his spare time.
"We loved baked goods and sweets," he added. "Alot from the backgrounds of our ancestors here and from across the sea," Diego explained. "What are your favorite desserts?" he asked her, wondering what she liked so he could figure where he could take her after they finish their lunch.
