Near the Russian boarder an army of soldiers gathered. Tanks, planes, soldiers, and weapons of all kinds gathered for one purpose. The start of the Russian campaign, an assault on the Soviet Union meant to reinvigorate the falling Japanese Empire. This army was not of men though, it was something different. A Special Attack Corps, and the first ever in the Japanese empire to field women as solider.
At the center of the camp of thousands stood the Commanders tent. In there were also the only men in the entire camp, only Japanese men at least, they were strategic officers from Army Command in Tokyo. In the tent were all the commanding officers of the division getting ready to assault the city, both army and navy elements.
"Our main objectives are the ships and military supplies located in the city." Said the military planner. That's why they were going in after all. A small fleet of ships and stock piles of fuel, munitions, and other war materials they needed. Not to mention it was the only major Soviet hurdle in Asia. "Tank forces will be moving in from the west." He said, turning his head to Lieutenant Zamukaze, Major Kizaru, and the rest of the tank commanders. "Your primary task is to occupy, and as much as possible deplete the Russian defenders, two brigades will be assisting you. If possible you should capture some tanks intact for inspection. I assume you will be going with them." he said to Lieutenant Eisencroft." The military observer from Germany. "Our commando unit under Major Kazumi will be landing on the beech with the marine forces. While they secure the ships and the docs you will be responsible for capturing the ammunition depot inside the cities west quarter. Marine support will be available if needed. You must be careful not to set off the depot. Infantry will be flanking and landing once the marines secure the ports as well so that we can push into the city. Any questions?"
