Duel (Raziel99 and I)

He had made sure to move away from her, opposite. It would be better for taking out more of the spear guys. He didn't worry about wiping blood off fro his blades, either, knowing that the blood would only be replaced. He was a flurry of motion, a stab or slash taking down a man every time as he finally left the building alcove and was on the streets. They were out there, though less scarcely populated.

She watched as he separated himself, focusing on his own group, while many of the spearmen had directed their attention to her. Many from the back had resorted to throwing them at her. She moved to the side slightly to avoid them, cutting down the men in front before coming up towards the now unarmed warriors. She was wondering just how many of these guys were here, and what they wanted with this town.

There was many dead already in the main road, a bunch of spearmen chasing after random villagers. Terao targeted them first, cutting them down before focusing on what was left. There wasn't too many to mop up, maybe 5, but this part of the town was clear. They were apparently raiders, sent in to pillage and kill. Well, they picked a bad time to do that.

Whenever she would see them going after the townspeople, Minami was quick to act, coming at them and easily taken them down while they were unaware. She noticed that there were only a handful now, backing up a bit. She saw that her 'partner' was finished with his side. She quickly rushed at the remaining few. She saw this as a chance to prove herself better than him.

She was falling behind, and one of the were running his way, so he made a point to pierce him through with his blades, throwing him to the side. Now, he wiped his blades off, sheathing them. "Well, I would stay, but I have things to do." He turned away, walking with a rather fast step that would have him out of the other side of the village in minutes.

Minami had quickly disposed of the last few men, wiping her blade clean of their blood. She turned again to face her rival, wondering what they would do now, but she had seen him heading off in the other direction. "Tch..didn't even finish our fight." She put her katana back in it's sheathe, looking around at all the bodies on the floor. This was really going to be hell cleaning up. Hopefully she could get some of the townspeople to help lift them to be disposed somewhere.

(>.> the eta would be the only ones picking it up. It's dishonorable to touch dead flesh.)

He left the town without anymore problems, slowly heading back towards the Dragon Lands. There was news that he had to give his lords, news of that attack. It didn't bode well, because they were so brash in that battle. Who knew what the next target would be...

But when he arrived back at the Mirumoto Castle, the village outside was under attack now. He charged forward, his blades drawn.

(Ah...>.< So much I don't know.)

The town reeked of dead bodies now, and the people were all at work trying to clear up the roads of the corpses. Minami slowly moved through the streets, watching as they lifted up the bodies to be disposed of. She had managed to find the wagon from before, almost untouched among all the chaos. Perhaps she would find something about these attackers and their intentions. She had it opened up, observing all the small crates she found inside. She didn't find anything of value in there. However, she had managed to find a small bit of writing, observing it for a while. It appeared to have a list of names and areas on it, including this town. "A list of targets perhaps?" she thought. She continued through the list, noticing some crossed off names. They came from a different direction, so they must have gotten rid of them already. Their next target shocked her a little. They had Mirumoto Castle down as well. She knew very well that her rival would be there, though it was a matter of it being her concern. Her only problem with this was that he could die somehow.

you might find a map of whatever area you want, too.)

The battle for the village at the foot of Mirumoto castle was raging hotly the moment that Terao entered the fray. There was at least 20 of the Mirumoto Samurai fighting the raiders, and around 10 of the Agasha Shugenja. The village, however, was essentially destroyed. They were just working now to repel them from the castle. There was no chance of the castle being destroyed or taken over - too many Samurai were there, and Mirumoto Hitomi wielded the origional blades of Mirumoto. She would never go down to scum like this.

Terao easily took down two spearmen before he had to run behind a flaming building to avoid some arrow fire. He sheathed his blades quickly and pulled out his bow, stringing a Ya to it before coming out of cover, firing off the quick shot. It knocked the man off the wall to his doom, and Terao was able to fire off a second shot before going back under cover. He only had a few arrows left, and he made them count before pulling his blades out again, launching himself back into the fray.
