A soft yawn escaped the young woman as she slowly made her way through the town streets. Despite her stunning beauty, she had a presence that made people avoid her. Everywhere around her, the hustle and bustle of the townspeople was evident. Despite this bit of tension, she was actually very well-known and quite admired in the area. This town was a shirt walk away from her village, which consisted mainly of samurai. This group's particular task was to maintain the peace in the area. Luckily, they rarely had to confront anyone in such a manner. The only time they would was when a rival town would invade, looking to cause problems. Of course, they didn't do much to the people, and they were here just to get a drink or two before continuing.
Minami glanced around as she walked, going about with her usual patrolling. The entire time, she had a rather serious look on her face, though many saw her as scary. In all honesty, she was just focused a lot on her job. either that, or she just didn't have enough drinks. She found the small bar which she would occasionally stop by and moved inside, the room quieting down as she walked in. The benefits of being a guardian: free sake. She moved to the front, waiting for the bartender to get her drink. She was 19 years old with long brown hair tied back in a ponytail. She had beautiful emerald green eyes, though they showed great seriousness and determination. She was wearing a large white robe, cut off at her ankles to avoid it dragging. On the back was a design resembling an extravagant sunrise. She had a large sheathe holding her long katana leaning up against her seat. This had been the same blade that had been passed down to her from many generations. She was making sure that she would disappoint her family's name.
Very soon, her glass had come by. The bartender set the drink in front of her and she took it in her hand, bringing it to her lips. Of course, she wasn't looking to get drunk while on duty. It would perhaps get her in a ton of trouble. Of course, she wasn't even at a legal age to drink, but she looked old enough, and that was good enough for them. After her glass she headed out towards the outskirts of the town, finding a small rock to sit on. She let out another bored sigh as she rested. She usually longed for battle, though her patrolling job didn't have anything exciting about it. Sure, she was asked to take care of criminals, which were usually little kids taking bread or something.
