Alright, it's been a long while since I've been active here outside of PM's. Real life sort of got in the way for a while. But now I have lots of free time and I really want to run a sexy D&D campaign using an old-school system (or an OSR retro-clone thereof) with an even 50/50 mix of story and smut (at least as a baseline, there can be as much story or smut as the players want, really).

I want to run this campaign as a sandbox game where everyone starts at Level 1 and works their way up from there. I am open to characters of all genders, sexes (even fictional ones like futanari), and orientations, and I'm thinking of running this game with an old-school (pre-3e) system.

I own physical copies of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition and 2nd Edition both, and I do know you can buy reprints of them as well. I also have retro-clones of Original Dungeons & Dragons and Basic D&D/Rules Cyclopedia on PDF (specifically Full Metal Plate Mail for OD&D and Dark Dungeons for Basic). I prefer using retro-clones for these games because they are much more clarified than the original TSR publications, they can be easily found online, and the PDF's are usually free (I know for a fact Dark Dungeons, Basic Fantasy, and Full Metal Plate Mail can all be legally downloaded on PDF for free, as they are published under an Open Gaming License).

To decide exactly which version of Old-School D&D we will use, I have added a poll.

I'm going to do everything in my power to keep this game afloat and I want to get more experience as a DM, so I hope you all will join.

Not sure about all of them, mostly as I got started in 3e but used to have a D&d advanced book a bit over a decade ago. Still, will be looking into them, although.... I sort of remember, in very bad ways admittedly, things about THAC0, alignment languages and demi-humans as classes?

If we did old-school D&D, I wouldn't include some of the more annoying stuff like alignment languages and as for Demi-Humans as classes, both editions of Advanced D&D and Basic Fantasy do actually separate race and class, as does OD&D (though the options are more limited). Only the original Basic D&D has Demi-Humans as classes.

While I'm not particularly familiar with any of these editions/systems I'm definitely posting interest in this. I'm going to look into the general rules for each of these before I vote so I can figure out which one I most want to do.

Ah, manged to find a copy of all of the D&d 2E Advanced books. Will throw in for that... and will try and make a sexy mage. Maybe some kind of elf. That said, I'm more then willing to upload them to my drive account and share them... but due to internet speed, may take me a while.

Hmm considering it seems like there are plenty of people who will be learning as they go do you mind if I try and put my hat in the ring? I have played 2nd edition but it was not a good fit with the group so I do not remember much.

So, been looking through the 2E rules... and depending on ability score generation, would be going Human or Elf Generalist Mage most likely... though would not mind the Domains rules from 1e/rules cyclopedia. Because who would not love to rule over a realm of delightful servants... or be the sexy power behind the throne?

I will definitely include the Domains rules from Rules Cyclopedia, even if we go with 2e.

Yay ^-^

By the way... just rolled up some numbers according to method one of the 2e one, just to make something...

Strength; 13
Dexterity; 17
Constitution; 15
Intelligence; 18
Wisdom; 16
Charisma; 18

If going 2E.... would have to find a picture of a very sexy elf mage.

Those are some awesome rolls RPG-Girl!

Out of curiosity Slayer Knight, how long do you think you'll keep the poll going before you close it? And about how many people are you looking for?

At least three to start us off. And I suppose we'll be using 2e for now.

I've never actually got to DM a game online before, so this should be fun!

I look forward to it! I also want to run a sexy Vampire: The Masquerade game using the old First Edition rules and setting from the 90's. I have lots of free time, so I can run them side-by-side.

Got room for one more? I've been hoping someone would offer something like this for a while. My experience with the old-school stuff is a bit limited, but I have dipped my toes in before, and I'm happy to pick up whatever we go with. Depending on how ability scores shake out, I'd be into playing some sort of warrior, in case that's something the group needs.

Great! So, we're going for 2e so far? Can I go ahead and start rolling up a character? What ability score generation method should I use?

Ah, and just the standard as seen in the basics, or as the Drow from the Compete Book of Elves? Would not mind just staying normal elf with black skin really... or going Drow as hey, I'm a wizard anyway, and would have high CHA anyway.

Okay, well, rolling down the line I get...

Strength 13
Dexterity 11
Constitution 10
Intelligence 14
Wisdom 10
Charisma 15

Played straight, that qualifies me only to be a mage, or a rather lackluster fighter or thief. Swapping just one pair of scores, Strength and Dexterity, would make for a decent bard, which I could totally be up for. Or, if you're open to me shuffling stuff around all I want, I could go with this...

Strength 15
Dexterity 14
Constitution 11
Intelligence 10
Wisdom 10
Charisma 13

And play the fighter I was originally hoping to. I'll leave it up to your judgement, o wise and benevolent DM.

Oh, my character will be human, regardless of class.

Alright, let's roll some bones! Here's what I got for my rolls:

STR: 16
DEX: 12
CON: 14
INT: 10
WIS: 13
CHA: 17

I'm thinking of going with a Paladin with that strength and charisma. Looking for a good image, should find one shortly.

Well, if we've got someone with the rolls to play a paladin, I'll go with a bard instead. Likewise, looking for some art. Hopefully find some soon.
