Blaze Of Glory
This takes place in a world that's closer to 'Watchmen' than more conventional comics; only a few 'superheroes' have actual powers and the rest are just well-trained people with excellent publicity. Many of them are celebrities with their own 'reality TV' shows, like the Glory Fox, who is as much a media identity as a costumed crimefighter. Everything on her show is scripted, all the villains are actors, and it's all fake despite the "reality" premise. But the viewers are starting to turn off, and the studio begins to tire of her diva-ish, arrogant and demanding behaviour. In a new twist of the ongoing narrative, they decide to set Glory up to fail. She goes into battle against an actual villain and is soundly defeated, then humiliated and violated on camera - as the studio rakes in the ratings and scandalous publicity, and the world watches her downfall live in lurid detail...
Basically this is a classic "defeated superheroine" story, but with something of a meta twist! It would be relatively short in length, as we work to create a spectacularly awful final episode for the hapless Glory. Her entire character is up for development too; beyond a few basic parameters she could be fashioned into whatever kind of costumed heroine you like. Initially I chose Paris Hilton as the faceclaim because her popular persona suit the original concept, but these days any equally glamorous blonde would work as well. So feel free to mention any ideas you may have, or indulge yourself playing a would-be bulletproof barbie!
