Distain2003 ~ A kidnapping romance ~ D.E.666

Janet drove for about an hour before she pulled up in front of a building with a large marble entrance that said 'Tiffany & Co.' and she parked. Shutting off the car, she carefully got out while shouldering her purse and heading inside, smiling when she looked around at all the jewelry and other beautiful things before she was approached by someone that worked there. "Can I help you miss?" a man asked and she smiled before nodding and he motioned for her to join him before leading the way to what she wanted.

Back home Stephen soon gave up on the horse for now going inside he set to work on the preparations for the next day. Getting their cloths picked out and getting everything ready. It was going to be quite the day for the young woman and he wanted everything to go off with out a hitch. Down stairs he prepared for breakfast letting out a happy sigh as he thought about her even though he did not like her going into the city alone.

Janet began picking out things in the store, most of the things she picked being nothing but the best which ended up being rather expensive. She picked several necklaces, bracelets and earrings but she stayed away from the rings. She already wore two rings, one of which was given to her by her real mother and the other was from her father for when she graduated from high school. The girl was a little nervous about being in a strange city alone, especially since she's buying expensive jewelry, but luckily she carried a taser in her purse so she had some form of protection. That and the people at Tiffany's were willing to lend her a security officer to walk her out to her car. After a while, she finally payed for everything before, with the help of some of the workers of the shop, she carried all her things to the car and packed them into the trunk of the car. With a bright smile to them, she got in and headed home, happy with her purchases.

Stephen smiled hearing the car rumbling down the driveway and soon he and the puppies where their on the porch watching her. Setting under Kegan was the delivery she was expecting the puppy hard been guarding it absently just wanting a place to sit. The moment she opened the door Stephen whistled and the puppies where off, charging her and trying to tackle her by the ankles.

Janet pulled up to the house and parked the house before shutting off the car and getting out, moving around to the trunk. She grabbed a couple of bags before heading inside. Even though she had told him she didn't wear a lot of jewelry, which she didn't, that didn't mean she didn't like shopping for it which she loved to do. Walking up towards the steps, she heard the door open and looked up before smiling when she saw Stephen but a moment later she saw the dogs and she stopped, doing her best not to loose her balance. "No, no, no. Down." she said firmly while gently nudging the dogs away. "Stephen, call them off please. I have glass in one of these bags."

Stephen smirked and walked over taking the bags from her gently with a smirk on his face. Glancing at the box on the porch he smiled and glanced at her. "Get her guys don't let her get away!" He said laughing charring the bags in and setting them on the counter a wondering what she had bought.

Janet glared at Stephen when he took the bags from her and set the dogs on her again. "Stephen!" she squealed as she turned and tried to get away from the dogs again as they went after her ankles again. "Kegan! Lilly! Down." she said firmly. Lilly luckily listened to her and sat down but Kegan continued going for her.

Stephen stood leaning in the door giving a short whistle kegan immediately sat down. His butt directly on her foot as he did as he was directed. "Now thats a well behaved dog! " He chuckled patting his hip and kegan came over to receive the gentle petting that he hard earned by setting down so promptly. "So what did you get there darling?"

When Kegan sat on her foot, Janet paused before looking up at Stephen while placing her hands on her hips and waiting for him to call Kegan off. "Yeah. To bad his father isn't as well behaved." she said playfully. Once Kegan was off of her, she returned to the car and grabbed the last of her purchases and headed up to the bed, smiling up at Stephen as she passed him and entered the house. "I got a couple of things for around the house and a couple of things for myself." she said to him. "As well as something for you." She smiled brightly before beginning to unpack the larger bags that held dinnerware and glass ware which were made of porcelain and crystal.

Stephen brought in her box and set it on the porch smiling he moved across the counter. "Okay so what did you get me?* He laughed playfully reaching into the bag and poking around wanting to see what she got. Slowly pulling things out and putting them on the counter inspecting everything. "You have great taste you know. "

Glancing over as Stephen brought the box up, she smiled to herself, knowing that what she had bought had finally come in and she giggled as he began poking around the bags. Moving over to him, she swatted his hands before pulling the smaller bag to her and pulling out a box, holding it out to him. Inside of the box was a gold watch with an alligator skin watch with their initials on the back. Smiling up at him again, she pulled out one of the necklaces she bought and looked at it with a smile before finally pulling out a box that held sterling silver forks, spoons and knives.

He smiled and kissed her cheek and began slipping on the watch just delighted to receive such a gift. "Thank you its the nicest thing anyone has ever given me. " He smiled and ran his thumb over it once again before picking up the box and holding it up. "So are you going to tell me what's inside now? Or must i open it myself?"

She chuckled softly before watching as he put the watch on and she grinned. "You're welcome Stephen." she said gently. "But there's more to come because I plan on spoiling you just as you spoil me... just in a different way." When he picked up the box that held the item she bought to surprise him, she smiled with a giggle before shaking her head. "I want to set it up first and surprise you with it." she said to him. The package was long and kind of big as well as a little heavy. "How about I set that up upstairs, while you do dinner? It shouldn't take me long and after dinner I'll show it to you." She moved over to him and ran her fingers over his chest with a small grin, hoping he'd say yes.

He growled and nipped her neck for a moment knowing she would not let him know what it was yet. Pouting a bit he sighed and went to the fridge gathering some burger he set to work seasoning the meat with out a word. "You know your a meany right." He finally said as he kissed the nape of her neck before setting to work continuing to cook.

She giggled while shivering as he nipped at her neck, turning to watch him before moving up behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist with a soft purr. "I promise you'll like it." she whispered in his ear while slowly running her hand along his stomach teasingly. "And I'll make it up to you." Kissing his neck gently, she pulled away from him and picking up the package with a grunt. It was a little heavy for her but she managed to carry it upstairs without much problem, Lilly trotting along behind her. Once upstairs, Janet up the package in their room before looking at Lilly. "Sit and guard the door." she said to her before closing the door behind her and locking it, Lilly sitting sternly in front of the door while Janet began working on putting together the item she had ordered.

Stephen called out threw the intercom as the food cooked figuring she may need something as she was going to be up there a while. "If you need tools just say the name of the tool to kegan and he will bring it up." He laughed he had taught the puppy to fetch tools for him while he waited for her. Kegan sat outside the door pawing it gently wanting to come in and play, to him fetching tools was a game.

Janet chuckled softly when she heard Stephen speak to her through the intercom before smiling gently when she heard the pawing at the door. She quickly unpacked the metal pieces before picking up instructions for the item and looking them over, reading through them as she stood up and opened the door enough to let Kegan in before smiling at him and patting the dog on the head. "Kegan, I need you to get me a Phillip's screwdriver." she said after looking over what was needed. Luckily the kit came with anything else that was needed. As she waited for Kegan to return with the screwdriver, she began setting things up.

While most thought girls like her didn't like doing work such as putting things together, she always loved projects where she had to work with her hands and she had always been good at putting things together so she figured this wouldn't be too much trouble.

Kegan sprinted away and down the stairs out to the garage tugging the screw driver she needed down he ran back up stairs pulling it behind him by a small rope. He barked at the door the tool laying just behind him. Stephen was down stairs laughing as he heard the dog running up the stairs the tool rattling behind him. Down stairs he slowed down the cooking not wanting to finish before she was ready.

Listening to Kegan dash away, Janet grinned before returning to what she was doing. For a bit she was left in silence until she heard the sound of the tool rattling on the steps as Kegan ran up with it in his mouth. Chuckling again, she stood up again before moving over to the door and opening it for him. Leaning down, she petted the dogs head with an affectionate smile. "Good boy." she said while taking the screwdriver from him and standing up. Lilly glanced at Kegan and softly yipped but she didn't move from where she sat while Janet returned to what she was doing. About twenty minutes later she was putting the finishing touches on her little project before stepping back and smiling to herself and nodding. "Done." she said to herself before quickly gathering the trash together and putting it into the box and heading downstairs, closing the bedroom door behind her. "I'm done." she said as she entered the kitchen with the trash.

"Well then good I have been holding back for about 15 minuets!" He laughed plating up the burgers and mac&cheese and handing her a plate before walking out onto the deck and setting on the swing. "Kegan up!" He said patting next to him and the puppy responded setting on the outside so that she could snuggle up if she wanted. "So what did she make buddy? " The puppy barked and stephen nodded as if he spoke dog.

She grinned at him and giggled softly as he plated the burgers and mac&cheese. Taking her food, she followed him out to the deck swing and sat next to him with her legs folded beneath her and her plate in her lap. Picking up her burger, she took a bite before glancing at the puppy as it barked at Stephen, chuckling after swallowing her mouthful of food. A little bit after they settled in on the swing, Lilly came trotting outside with a rawhide bone in her mouth, the large chew toy seeming almost as big as her head as she laid down on the deck and began gnawing on it.

Kegan dashed inside do gather his dragging it outside to chew it next to her clearly he did not want to be out done. Smiling Stephen slipped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her lightly into his side as he ate with his left hand. He had learned along time ago to do most everything with both hands. The down side to his former career was learning to do things with injured or broken limbs. "How was your day in the city darling? Everything go well? I don't have to go shoot anyone do i?"

Lilly paused mid-chew when Kegan joined her with his own chew toy before continuing as if he weren't there, putting one of her paws on the large chew toy. Every now and then she would lift her head as she ate a piece that broke off then went back to gnawing. As she was pulled into his side, Janet smiled up at Stephen and continued eating while leaning against him a bit. "It was nice. Yes everything went well and no, you don't have to shoot anyone. The manager at Tiffany's insisted that I let one of their security guards and their workers escort me back to the car with my things." she said.

"I forget did you tell me you wanted to learn to shoot or you wanted to stay as far away from guns as humanly possible?" He said softly smiling and kissing her cheek as he finished eating, even with one hand he still ate quickly something he picked up at home wanting to get away form the table quickly. Smiling he laughed as Kegan started a fight by biting the wrong toy, the puppies tussling and growling as they fought for the right to the toys. "If Lilly was a boy i would say boys will be boys... why do i say to this?"

Pausing, Janet looked up at him before speaking. "I already know how to shoot a gun. I just don't like to do it because it hurts my ears. Even with ear plugs and those head sets, they're too loud." she said while eating. As the pups started fighting, Janet arched an eyebrow as Lilly began growling and biting at Kegan, the pup rolling with Kegan. Though Lilly was smaller then Kegan because of her breed, she still put up a tough fight. "You would say... dogs will be dogs." Janet said before looking at the pups again. "Lilly! Be nice!" she called and Lilly paused, looking up at Janet and Stephen, one of her paws resting on Kegan's side while she had his floppy ear caught in her teeth while her pointed ears twitched.
