Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Candi)

Chris smiled happily on the inside and returned the kisses, his hands moving to run lightly up and down her back. Eyes meeting hers as he broke the kiss. Words barely whispered. "Claire baby you are so beautiful in any light but tonight you outshine even the moon."

She smiled at him and blushed softly. "Well, I think it might have something to do with you asking me to marry you," she said, chuckling. "So will you tell your fiance what's going on now?"

Chris smiled at her words, eyes sparkling as he took one of her hands and scooped up some of the rose petals into it. His words softly spoken. "We can spend all night here baby. The limousine is hired until morning."

Chris smiled into her eyes and traced fingertips down one side of her body, his eyes moving towards the sea as he spoke. "Want to take a walk along the beach with me."

"That sounds wonderful," she said, taking his hand. Once they were out in the sand again, she set her things back in the car, safely tucking her new earrings into her purse for now. She left them in the car as she took his arm in hers and leaned against him. "Mmm, lead on."

Chris smiled and gave her hand a light squeeze, softly kissing her cheek before locking the car with a press of the small button. Tucking the little device into his pocket he whistled softly as they walked towards the water's edge and along the sand.

She smiled, watching the waves as she leaned her head on his shoulder and the two of them walked along the shore. "So how long had you been planning on asking me?" she asked, looking up at him.

Chris felt his cheeks heating up as he heard her questioning words, eyes meeting hers as he softly kissed her lips. His words spoken softly. "Claire about a week before we left to come here."

She smiled. "Is that so? So what made you ask now, if I might ask." Claire squeezed his arm a little and kissed him again.

Chris blushed even brighter now, he knew it would show to her as he returned the kiss. One hand lightly caressing down her back stopping just above her buttocks. "Felt it was the right time to do so."

She smiled. "Fair enough." She put her arms around him and pulled him close to her, kissing him softly. Her lips stayed on his for awhile, holding him close to her.

She smiled and snuggled into his chest, enjoying his presence, his scent, his sweetness. "Stunning," she agreed.

She smiled up at him and looked into his eyes. "You're a wonderful man, Chris. I'm glad I'm your girl."

She laughed and kissed his head. "Alright, I won't say anymore for now. Except...tag!" and with that, she was off running, trying not to trip as she skimmed along the sand. She ran back toward the car, hoping to use it as home base. Even if tonight was supposed to be romantic, there was no reason she couldn't play tag with him. After all, the most serious part of the evening was over.

Chris was a little stunned at both her words and actions, his eyes watching her run off towards the car. Giving a light hearted attempt at giving chase he stopped in the sand and gazed up into the moonlit sky.

She turned to see if he was following her, and found that he was staring, instead, at the sky. So she stopped running as well, and just looked at it--really looked at it. The night really was stunning. She'd never been able to see quite so many stars. The moon never looked so bright to her before. She smiled and took it all in, mere feet from the man she loved more than even this view.

Chris continued to take in the view of the moon and the stars, losing himself in it as he took off his jacket and threw it lightly on the sand. Sitting down on it he relaxed and whistled softly.

Claire smiled and came to his side, sitting next to him. She leaned against him, looking up at the skies with him. It was such a beautiful place.

Chris heard her footsteps and soon felt her body leaning against his, breathing in her sweet intoxicating perfume he kissed her cheek and moved her hair slightly to kiss her neck.

She smiled and let him kiss her wherever he liked. She stared up at the stars and let him slowly take hold of her senses.
