The morning arrived before Maggie was really ready for it. She and Glenn each grabbed a shower and changed their clothes, and then they went to finalize plans with Rick. They also made sure to leave the gun's just in case the other's needed them. They took knives of different shapes and sizes and after making sure that they had everything they needed, the two
of them walked with Rick to the gate and slipped out, and Rick closed the gate behind them. The brunette had had a conversation with her sister as they all had breakfast, explaining what was going on, and telling the young girl that she would be outside the walls, tracking down supplies for all of them.

"We're also going to need to try and find some baby supplies for Lori and Rick," Maggie said once she and Glenn were out of the prison and out of the gate. She kept her eyes sharp
and her guard up as they watched for any walkers as they went to scout for supplies. "Obviously we'll have to take what we can get. If we find anything for babies, really anything,
we'll take it with us. If need be, we'll give everything a good scrubbing when we get back. But we can't afford to turn down anything unless a walker's bleeding all over it. We should
start with stores first. See what's been raided and what hasn't. Then follow that up with school's and home's."

After running through a brief checklist, Glenn and Maggie were ready to move. The Korean walked his girlfriend out to the truck and they finally were driving forward away from the prison. Looking at the map, Glenn had marked out the stores with baby supplies, bookstores for the nursing textbooks, and other hardware, grocery, and various stores on their path. Just like Maggie denoted before, it was important that they acquire as many supplies they could. From setting up a farming system to just having supplies for medical issues, their need was great. However, Glenn was confident in himself and Maggie, knowing that they could find whatever they needed. They were an amazing team and always had massive success together.

Keeping focused on the road, Glenn did lightly hold Maggie’s hand. The dark-haired male loved Maggie so much and he love this little contact they had while driving. Since they spent the past nine months going in circles, they cleared the local stores easily. They had to drive out of the way to find the new locations. “How are you holding up, Maggie? I love you.” Glenn reminded her, just checking to see how she was feeling. She had already showed that she was strong and Glenn wanted to ensure that she was alright.

"I love you, too." Maggie said softly, and smiled. She squeezed Glenn's hand that held hers. "I'm fine. Like I said, just worried about what we're going to do for Lori when she goes into labor, and for any emergencies that come up. We only have so much supplies. I just really hope we're able to find something to help us start a garden. It might not seem like much, but
I know it's going to help out so much." She fell silent a few moments later and just kept looking out the window, making sure to keep an eye out for walkers or anything that might be
out of the ordinary.

They drove for a while, and finally pulled up in front of the store with baby supplies. Maggie checked the knife at her hip and after taking a deep breath to steel herself, she took off her seat belt, pushed the door open and got out of the car. The brunette waited until Glenn had gotten out and stood beside her. "Are you ready to do this? We have no idea what's going to
be waiting for us inside." Maggie turned to him and kissed him, and then she pulled back and they headed carefully into the store. She pulled open the door and spotted a piece of busted pipe on the ground.

She picked up the pipe and then propped open the door using her hip. Then, the young woman began to slam the pipe against the door, knowing it would make a lot of noise and attract any walkers that were nearby. Maggie heard a groaning sound and a few moments later, a handful of walkers that were inside the store started coming in her and Glenn's direction. "You ready?" She asked and then gripped the pipe tightly in her hands, ready to start swinging at the walkers the moment that got close enough. The walkers got closer and closer, and more and more came. Maggie didn't waste any time and started swinging as soon as they were right in front of her.

When the couple arrived, Glenn watched his wife checked out the grocery store. Of course, there were numerous walkers inside the store this deep into the apocalypse. The numbers were overwhelming but the couple fought off all the walkers and took them out. "Well, let's see what we can find." Honestly, Glenn did not have high hopes. When the riots first began, grocery stores were cleaned out. However, he held out hope for the baby section. Nobody really planned on starting a family anymore. It was possible that the shelves were still avilable. Nothing should be plentiful but Glenn thought it was helpful.

The Korean slowly walked through the aisles with one of the shopping carts. Miniscule amounts of bottled water and canned food were scrambled around the floor. They might have found one for each person buf nothing more. When they reached the infant section, Glenn sighed in relief. "Well, it is not exactly everything we need but it sure as hell is a start." Smilng, Glenn found all the baby supplies available. Diapers, bottles, wipes, clothing, and various items. Despite the find, the shopping cart was not even close to being full. Glenn suggested they should travel through each aisle.

When they finished and gathered anything pertinent, Glenn pushed the cart outside. When they finally piled the items inside the car, Glenn turned to Maggie and pointed out the obvious. "Well, we still have a ton of room. We still can pick through all the other close stores. We could make due one night somewhere if we must." Leaving the cart, Glenn got back inside of the car and turned towards Maggie. "Okay. What is next on the map?"

"Next on the map is a school. Go to the end of this street and take a right. Two miles over is Moorebrooke Middle School. I don't know if they'll have a lot of stuff there, but they might have food and snacks for kids, clothes and jackets, maybe even books for kids Carl's age. There might be something, and then again, there might be nothing. All I know is that we at least have to try." Maggie said and then she fell silent a few moments later, as Glenn kept driving. They were getting closer and closer to the middle school. "How much of the school
do you want to check out?"

"I suggest we do a quick search of at least twenty classroom's and scan the lunch room and maybe the library. What do you think?" She asked, as they pulled up in front of the school a few minutes later. "We'll stay together the whole time because it's safer that way. We don't want to get separated and possibly trapped." Glenn parked and a few moments later, they started to get out of the car together. "We should also put the supplies in the trunk, just in case anyone would come by and see what we've found. We don't want anyone to steal it."

The two of them spent the next few minutes putting the supplies in the trunk, and then closed it. They closed and locked the car and each got out their weapons as they started towards the school. "We're gonna be as quiet as possible, so that we don't attract any walkers if we can help it. We'll whisper to each other, so we have to make sure that we're not far from each other while we're searching out all of these classrooms. Anything clothing-wise that's for a boy Carl's age, or a little older. Doesn't matter if the clothes are too big. He can grow into it."

Yes, Glenn agreed that himself and Maggie should stay together. They might not check out every classroom but they could hit many. “We should check teacher workrooms and janitorial closets. We never know what is inside.” Glenn commented before they entered the school. After piling everything into the trunk, Glenn accompanied the brunette towards the front door. This place was too large for them to sit at the door and make noise to take out all the walkers. They had to approach it differently. Once they entered, he pointed to a sign that said main office. There might not be anything here, but there might be something useful. At first, it looked pointless but they took out a couple walkers.

When they reached the teacher’s meeting room, they hit the jackpot. There was a vending machine. It was not quite fully stocked and it was mostly junk food, but even now junk food was better than nothing. The glass was partially broke anyways so Glenn volunteered himself to grab every bag of food they could. He did not want her hand to get cut up and would take that risk himself. When they bags were filled up, he had cut his hand up badly but they could not exactly take the time to bandage it now. They had to wait.

Then, they moved deeper into the school and took out walkers as they went. There were a few items of clothing and books for a kid to read. It was probably nothing really that could help the majority of the group but they did need to think about the children. They were the future, anyways. The lunch room did not yield much of anything, either. They did find some water bottles and milk that was far too out of date. It smelled worse than the walkers. After they checked out everything they planned, Glenn led the way with Maggie back out to their car.

"There's a bookstore the next street over. We'll go there, and then the hardware store. After we check those two places, I think that we should pack it in for the night. We can have each a can of peaches and a bottle of water that we brought with us, and then rest for a few hours. There's no telling what or who we might run into tomorrow, so we're going to need to get as much rest as we can. Does that sound good to you?" Maggie asked as they loaded up what they were able to get from the school, and then they got back into the car, and buckled up once more.

She rested her head back against the head rest and closed her eyes for a few moments, just taking the time to drive to the bookstore, to rest a little. It wasn't much, but they knew what they were getting themselves into when they offered to do this. They pulled up at the bookstore a few minutes later, got out of the car and grabbed their weapons. "Don't just look for books on pregnancy. Get all medical books you find, especially if you see anything for any kind of sicknesses. I'll keep an eye out for those books as well, and I'll see if there's any books for both adults and children and try as get as many as I can."

Half an hour later, the floor of the backseat of the car was full of books. There were about 200 books in all on the floor, and 30 of them were medical books, which was good. 70 of them were children's books from newborns, up to teenagers. And the other 100 books were books for schooling. Reading, spelling, English, etc. It wasn't much and it was scattered all over the grade system, but it didn't matter. They could figure out a lesson plan combining what the kids needed to know. They had found another vending machine, along with a soda machine that had soda and bottles of water.

It was apparently their lucky day because both machine's were full, so they emptied both machines into some bags and then packed them into the car. They also went into the employee's lounge and grabbed as many jackets of all sizes that they could find and packed them, too. Their last trip of the day would be the hardware store. Hopefully it hadn't been picked clean and they would be able to find something to use for more weapons for the group. Once the last of it was loaded into the car, they got back in and Glenn drove them to the hardware store, which was only 10 minutes away.

“That sounds fine to me.” Glenn answered, turning onto the next street before stopping outside the bookstore that Maggie pointed out. Glenn agreed with the book types they looked for. Books were essential for knowledge now since the internet was no longer functional. When the car was piled full of textbooks and other types of books, Glenn felt satisfied. It would help them with medical emergencies and help children learn. Sure, the course material for children that grow up in this new world would become starkly different than before the outbreak but there were some things that would not change.

They reached the hardware store within ten minutes. This place was large just like the school, so it was useless to draw attention to themselves more than they needed. Once they reached inside the hardware store, Glenn walked them towards the gardening section first. It was the most pertinent to them and he knew that Maggie had some level of knowledge to this thanks to Herhsel and working on a farm her entire life. Glenn did not. He stood there, taking orders and grabbing whatever Maggie said they needed, listening to everything she said so that he could help. They had to make a few trips into the store and back outside because their cart was full.

After finding everything they needed for the garden, they looked at other sections like various tools for appliances they still had and especially for vehicles. Of course, Glenn could not help but grab a few rolls of duct tape, rope, and zip ties for obvious reasons. He put those in a separate bag of course. Those were just a few things that he and Maggie could use sometime and he did not know if Maggie saw him grab it or not. If she did, it should not have been a surprise. When they had to leave the farm, their bags were left behind mostly.

Now, Glenn had access to a few accessories that could be used Plus, they might need duct tape or something like that for another practical reason. Once they finished the store, they were ready to find somewhere to stay. “There is a set of houses here in the next street. I say we just find one of those for the night, park the car out back.” Glenn suggested, hoping they found a house with a garage that was open. He could manually pull the door down if it was low enough. “Keep a look out. Let me know if you think anything looks good.” Glenn commented before stopping outside a house just like he hoped to find. It was near the end of the street and there was a garage partially open so he drove inside to keep the car out of plain view.

Once Glenn had pulled the car into the open garage, they exited the car and she watched as he pulled down the door by hand. Then Maggie kept her knife in hand and walked over to the door that led to the house. She silently opened the door and entered, knowing that her boyfriend was right behind her. The two of them spent the next 20 minutes killing walkers and checking out the rest of the house. There was 10 walkers, and they took all of them out. Once that was done, they went back to the car, and took out the cans of peaches and bottles
of water.

Maggie had found some blankets up in the closet of one of the bedroom's, and she took out all of them, leaving two for them on the couch in the living room and putting the rest in the car, along with all the clothes in the house, for men, women, and children, along with any and all random books she found, shoes, jackets, and some movies. Glenn had told her about Jenner and how he had been able to keep the power running. If they could get the power running in the prison, then the kids could watch movies, and maybe they could have a movie night or two, once a week. It would give all of them something to do besides eating, sleeping, cleaning, and waiting to die.

She was glad that they had cleaned out the hardware store. The brunette had taken every type of seed that could be used to harvest any and all types of food. They would need all the help they could get when they got back to the prison and started to work on the garden. They also took as many tools off the walls and racks as they could carry. Saws, hammers, nails, drills, anything and everything that could possibly be useful to them in some way, and packed it into the car. Maggie felt they had done pretty good for a single day on the road.

Once they were in the house and all the doors and windows were as secure as they could make them, she set down the kerosene lamp that she had brought inside with them and turned off all of the lights, so they could just relax. Their weapons were on the floor beside them, as the couple sat on the floor together, eating the cans of peaches and drinking the water, as they snuggled under the blankets together. "What do you want to look at tomorrow? Maybe we should try and find a gas station. There's about ten gas cans in the back of the car. We'll be able to use them, though we'll have to chose wisely when to use them."

"We'll also need to look for more cars when we get back. Since we no longer have Dale's RV, we'll need to find as many vehicles as possible and start making an escape route out of the prison in case we would ever need it.." Maggie trailed off a few moments later. "Sorry. I always try to plan ahead for everything, when I should just learn to enjoy myself in the moment, here with you." She leaned over and kissed him.

Clearing out the houses was a tedious job. It took a great deal of time and effort but eventually Glenn and Maggie found a place to stay for the night. Once the area had been cleared and their bed for the night was set, Glenn sat down onto the couch with Maggie and pulled her close. He listened to the brunette lay out a plan for tomorrow and he listened carefully, chuckling when she stopped her rambling and pointed out how she was always planning ahead and never living in the moment. It was mostly true, but Glenn adored that about her.

“Well, I don’t think we can afford not thinking ahead. You’re doing a great job, Maggie. Tonight, let’s just get some rest together and we’ll work out a plan in the morning. We made great progress today.” They did more together than what a group of six or more people could have done in two days. They did not even need words to communicate when they were out during a supply run. The couple knew each other so well and it made Glenn wonder about what was next. Last week when the group went onto a supply run, Glenn was in charge of a team while Maggie stayed back at the prison.

They searched a nearby mall and Glenn found a jewelry store. There was nothing valuable there in today’s term but he had a plan. He found a necklace and an engagement ring, and a couple wedding rings. He meant to give everything to Maggie. Hershel had already given his daughter’s hand in marriage to Glenn. Glenn had the ring and he wanted to ask her properly and give her an engagement ring first before they figured out how to do a little ceremony. It might not be huge but he thought they deserved something. After that, he could show her the wedding rings he found and surprise her with a necklace as well for a wedding gift.

At least, he hoped Maggie would want that. He had no idea and it was not something they ever talked about. Maybe in another life, it would have already happened but Glenn knew that they loved each other and it was an option. Besides, the group did need some happiness. Despite all the evidence around them, not everything in the world was dark, gloomy, and dead. Love was still burning strong in the world, especially between these two.

Nonetheless, he kept quiet for now and began stroking her face. “At the hardware store, I don’t know if you noticed, but I managed to sneak a few things in for our pleasure.” He chuckled in his admission. They had not been able to explore anything truly kinky. The most they had at the farm was rope around the farm and everyone had duct tape. The hardware store did not present them with different options but Glenn was still happy with what he found, hoping that Maggie was willing to try it all some day. “I think we both can sleep right now. If anything happens, we will hear it. It won’t do us any good to be tired. Let’s get some sleep.” Glenn whispered, finding her lips for another kiss before closing his eyes.

Maggie was up early the next morning. She wasn't ready for them to get going yet, so she just laid there and remained silent, not wanting to wake Glenn. The sun was just coming out and the young woman shifted just slightly in her boyfriend's arms. She hoped they would have as good a day finding supplies as they had yesterday, so that they could return to the prison as soon as possible. She knew that Beth would be safe with Rick and the rest of their friends, but the brunette still hated to be away from her sister for long periods of time.

She laid there for a while, just enjoying the silence. But after a bit, the young woman started to kiss Glenn's neck, and when his eyes opened and locked with hers, Maggie smiled at him. "Good morning," She said softly and then continued to kiss him. They didn't usually get much alone time at the prison, but hopefully now that they had found a few supplies to keep her quiet at night, they would get to spend more intimate time together. "I know that we have to get up and leave soon, but I just want to enjoy this time we have together. Just us, and with nothing and no one to worry about."

Glenn awoke to the feeling of soft lips peppering kisses down his neck. Opening his eyes, the young man smiled at Maggie when he gained consciousness. “Good morning.” He whispered softly while watching her. “I think we should enjoy this. I like your idea.” He admitted, now taking his turn to start kissing on her neck. He made sure to feel every inch of her neck with his lips on both sides before finally attacking her lips. He reached down to hold one of her hands while the other cupped her face and Glenn crawled on top of her. He did not mean for anything sexual to result from this position.

Instead, he just wanted to feel as close to Maggie as he could. “I love you so much, Maggie Greene. I like to think that even if the apocalypse did not happen, we would have still met one another. I love you more than anything in this world. No matter what we go through, we’re going to be alright.” Glenn whispered softly, kissing her again, sliding his tongue into her mouth and squeezing her hand. This just made him want to marry her even more. He knew they were dealing with so many things right now but this was also important in his mind. He might say something to her about it later when they get a chance to relax again.

"I'm so glad that I met you," Maggie said softly. "Not that I'm glad Otis shot Carl, but you know what I mean. It's horrible to say, but if that had never happened, I'd have never met you. And while I do mostly regret what happened, I can never regret meeting you." She lowered her head and then kissed Glenn's lips softly. "Who would've ever thought that we'd meet the person we love, after the world's pretty much ended?" She laughed softly, shaking her head. Her laughter faded a few moments later. "Something sad just occurred to me. Carl's never going to remember what the world was like before it became this mess."

"And any babies born from now on, are never going to know how amazing the world used to be. All they're ever going to know is pain, loss, and death, with a few happy moments sprinkled in here and there, but it'll never be enough." She sighed softly. "I don't know if I'm sad for those who are already dead, or jealous of the fact that they don't have to live
through the danger anymore. It's horrible, but it's how I feel.." Maggie admitted quietly. "I'd never say that in front of Beth or any of the other's. They'd think I was suicidal, and
I'm really not."

"I just know that the world is only going to get worse and worse from here on out, and it makes me sad. The children of the future won't know all the beautiful things that world used to offer. Beautiful mornings where you could sit on the porch and watch the sun come up, without having to have a gun at your side for fear of walkers. Or being able to walk down the street to the corner store, to buy a piece of candy or something to drink. They won't even be able to safely watch the stars at night, or play outside with their friends, without 5 or
more people keeping an eye on them and and eye out for walkers."

"Now, I'm not saying that children shouldn't continue to keep being born. I'd never say that. And I personally don't agree with abortion, the only exception being is if the pregnancy
would kill the mother. It's just... Knowing how the world used to be, and knowing what it is now... I sometimes wonder if we should just give up and let the walkers get us. The dead outnumber the living and their number is growing more and more every single day. For each walker we take out, I'm sure there are still hundred's, maybe even thousands of people
dying from anything and everything each day. And it just feels so useless sometimes.." Maggie fell silent after speaking, realizing only after she had spoken her mind, that she should have kept her thoughts to herself.

Even tough Maggie was wrong, Glenn appreciated that she shared her thoughts with him. The Korean male allowed her to finish speaking her mind before Glenn spoke his. Cupping Maggie’s face, only did then Glenn start talking. “You made some valid points, but I think you’re wrong. Let me tell you why. I’m also happy that we met. In fact, meeting you has been the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you with all my heart and I always will. Without you, I really have nothing. That’s a scary thought, but that also makes me happy in a way because this love we share, it is deeper than anything I have seen or felt in my lifetime.”

“I don’t agree that we should give up. I believe we should always have hope because we always have a chance. The dead do not. You can argue that life is nothing but pain, loss, and death with only a few happy moments sprinkled it. It might be true but the happy moments far outweigh the sad times. Every moment we have spent together has been worth whatever hardship I faced. If I had to endure one year of shitty situations and events just to spend one hour of being happy with you, I would. You give me hope. You give me love. You make me believe that despite everything around us, there can be a better tomorrow.”

With a sigh, Glenn stopped and kissed her lips. “I love you so fucking much and I never want to lose you. Please, don’t ever give up on me. We can fight this world together. We’re a team, Maggie. We’ll always be together and that’s a promise. I want nothing more than to make you smile. I know that there is always a possibility that things can get better, that we can be safe. I know that because I have you in my life. You made me believe in happy emotions and positivity again. I hope I can do the same for you. We are stronger than any obstacle we face. I would rather live like this than not live at all because we at least have an opportunity to make something better happen. Because we’re alive, we can be with each other and spend time like this together.”

"I'm sorry," Maggie said softly, and she meant it. "Sometimes, everything just gets to me. It's so hard to do anything now, and we're always fighting and struggling, and that's not a good way to live. I love every minute that you and I get to spend together, and I'd never wish it away. I guess that I'm having trouble adjusting to the way things are now. All the violence we have to carry out to stay alive. I never would've believed I was capable of it. But here we are." She fell silent a few moments later, and just wrapped her arms tightly around Glenn's waist.

The brunette kissed him once more, and then got to her feet. "We should get going. What places do you want to check out today? We should spend a few hours on the road checking out places and then return to the prison before it gets dark. I really don't want us to be on the road at night. There's no telling how many walkers we'll run into, and with it being so dark at night, there's no telling what could happen to us." Maggie slipped her shoes back on and then raided the house once more. Once that was done, they checked out a few other houses on the block and got more supplies from them.

Clothes, water, shoes, books, knives, a few guns, a few kid's movies, some lighters, a bunch of candles, more kerosene lamps. Some camping gear like sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. There was even a ton of canned goods in one house, where the person had a full pantry stocked with all kinds of stuff. They emptied it out and finished the rest of the houses
on the street, before getting into the car and continuing to the next place on the map. Maggie was in the driver's seat today, wanting to give her boyfriend a break from driving. "What's next on the map?"

Next on the list was a gas station. This station was crowded with walkers but it was nothing Glenn and Maggie could not handle. After taking down the undead, the couple found the gas supply and filled those cans they brought. Although it did not all come from one station, they made quick work of the other nearby gas stations and found every last drop of gas they could before moving onto a new location. This time, they were attacking a store known for sporting goods. They could find weapons like baseball bats and even golf clubs because those things were useful in times of great need. Additionally, there was a section for outdoors sporting like camping and hunting which proved useful.

They even found a few extra guns and ammunition after breaking through some safe and glass. The couple also found other survival gear like tents, blankets, batteries, and a plethora of other items associated with these stores and camping. After securing the area, they loaded the car and continued forward. Their last stop on the day was a church. Glenn saw an old road signed covered in grass that said something about a food drive and the date was sometime when the outbreak started. They had no idea where to look but they checked all around the church until finding a heft storage of canned food in the basement. Once they grabbed everything, Glenn noticed it was getting dark soon.

They had a successful run through today and yesterday, returning back to the prison anything but empty-handed. Carol was working the gate when they arrived just as the suns set over the horizon. After Maggie parked the car outside, Glenn slid out of the car and started helping with the tasking job of taking all the supplies inside just as the others were heading out as well.

Maggie was glad when they got back to the prison and started to unload all of the supplies in the car. They had gotten a good bit, and the clothes would be usable the following day, as soon as they were hand washed, just to be safe. It took a long time for her and Glenn to unload the car, even with Rick and Beth's help. Finally, sometime later, everything was unloaded and brought into the prison. Once everything had been checked for damage and then saved, Maggie excused herself and went to check on Lori and the baby. Once that was done, she and Glenn spent a few hours with Beth, playing card games and talking.

When it started to get late, everyone separated and got ready to go to sleep. Maggie took a quick shower, changed her clothes and then got into bed beside Glenn. She grabbed a book that she had taken from the pile, pulled the covers over the two of them, snuggled up close to her boyfriend and then started to read for a little while. It had been a long time since she had read anything besides a map. She wasn't going to read for very long, as she didn't want to keep Glenn awake too late. The plan was just to read the first chapter, and then they'd go to bed.

She finished the first chapter half an hour later and then set the book aside. The young woman reached for the lamp and turned off the light. Maggie checked the table on her side of
the bed to make sure that her knife and gun were both within reach, and once she knew that they were, she kissed Glenn and cuddled into his side once more. She closed her eyes
and took some time to relax and let the tension and worry from the day, melt away. Finally, she eventually drifted off to sleep, glad to be home with their friends and family.

Since Glenn and Maggie have been gone, not all has been quiet and peaceful at the prison. One original prisoner died clearing out another cell block and two of those other original prisoners attempted to overthrow and kill Rick. Thankfully, the group took care of them before anything could happen. However, the remaining two prisoners could not be trusted because one of them released the walkers from the courtyard into the living area while blaring one of the alarms from the back-up generator. The group had to fight everything off and shut down the generator to shut off the alarm. They had to kill so many walkers and ended up killing the remaining two prisoners. Once that was done, they found that T-Dog had been bitten and sacrificed himself for Carol.

Carol was still alive and well, having hidden and made it out of the tombs. It was so much to take in but thankfully they had a decent number of supplies now and they could figure out what to do next. After tucking in for the night, Glenn held Maggie close and actually read along with her line by line. His arms were tight around her waist as they fell asleep and it stayed like that up until the next morning when he woke. His eyes opened and took in Maggie’s body against his own, loving how soft and sweet she felt.

Deciding to wake her with a kiss, he pressed their lips together since she liked being awake when he was. After kissing Maggie, he watched her for a second, watching her open her eyes. Glenn continued smiling, his hand stroking through her hair. “God, I love you. You’re so gorgeous and perfect. You look so peaceful when you sleep. I can barely bring myself to wake you.” He admitted with a soft laugh, nuzzling their noses together, loving that they could have a little cuddling and talking time together before the day started.

"I love waking up and feeling your lips on mine," Maggie said and then she happily kissed Glenn back. "What do you have planned to do today? I think that I should get started on the garden as soon as possible. The sooner we have fresh fruits and vegetables, the better off we'll be. We'll have to set up an area for all of it and keep it well protected from walkers.
We don't want them to get to the food and ruin it. But, that can wait for a few minutes. I wanna enjoy this time with you." She kissed Glenn again, and then rested her head against
his chest.

"I need to check on Beth in a few minutes, and recruit her to help me get the garden started. It'll give her something to do, help her feel useful, and it'll get her mind on something besides her grief over losing Dad, and her fear of the walkers." Maggie sighed softly. "I just wish I knew what she needed. I want to be there for her, but when I try, she's started
to close herself off from me, and it scares me. I'm also thinking that maybe I should try and get her to spend time with Carl. I know they're not the same age, but he's the closest
person we've got to her age. Maybe we should try and find a TV and DVD player and put on some of those movies we found."

Eventually, Maggie groaned and reluctantly moved away from Glenn. She kissed him one final time and then got up from the bed. "Wanna come with me to check on Beth, or do you
have to get started on the things you have to do today?" She went through the clothes they had sorted out among everyone and put what had fit them, into a pile and scooped it into
her arms. "I'm gonna see if I can get Carol and Lori to start washing the clothes by hand, while Beth and I get started on the garden. In a few days, we should make another run into town and get supplies for us to build a better, more defensible fence around the prison."

The only thing Glenn had to do today was keep watch for a couple hours this morning. After that he was free and planned on spending every possible second with Maggie. Plus, it could be helpful for him to learn about gardening and food as well. “I will help you check on Beth. You and her are both my family now.” Glenn assured the brunette with a soft smile. Even without being technically married or even technically asking her, he still felt that way about both Maggie and Beth. Speaking of that, he called for her one more time before getting dressed. “I know we’re both busy today, but when we get a chance to be alone, I want to talk to you.” Glenn was going to leave it at that but realized it might have sounded like something was wrong or he was upset. “Nothing is wrong. There’s just something we need to talk about… or at least there’s something I want to talk about with you. I promise it’s nothing bad. Don’t rush to find some free time. Just let it come naturally.” After assuring Maggie that it was simple, he gave her a kiss and walked with her to check on Beth.

She was still in her cell, covered up in bed. Remembering her suicide attempt back at the farm, Glenn did worry about that. Even though Maggie never said it, he figured that his girlfriend thought about Beth doing something drastic, too. Glenn decided to answer first and he pulled up a chair. During their time together, Beth had become close with Glenn since he was with Maggie and he liked to think she saw him as family as well. They were worried about her.

“Hey, Beth. I’m here with your sister. It’s time to get up. Maggie needs your help out working in the garden. We’re going to plant so many things here and soon we’ll have all the food we need. Maggie tells me you’re really good with the whole gardening thing. I’m going to help both of you after I take watch. Maybe you can teach me a few things.”

His words had immediately made Maggie worried. But then she took in his attitude and the way Glenn carried himself, and knew that if he had planned to end things between the two of them, he wouldn't be acting like nothing was wrong. She nodded, kissed him back and then followed him out of their cell to check on her sister. The brunette stood back and watched as Glenn talked to Beth, a smile on her lips at how kind he was to her sister. The words he said, though so simple, came across as sweet to her, and she knew that there was more behind the words than what came across.

He was trying to help her sister feel better, and get her focused on something other than the suicide attempt and the loss of their father. So Maggie gave them a few moments to talk,
and then joined them, sitting down beside Glenn, and taking one of his hands into her own, and one of her sister's. "Glenn's right. I need your help getting a garden going. I know that
you know a lot about gardening, and there's plenty of things you can teach Glenn and me. So, what do you say? Will you do that? Will you teach us what you know about gardening?"

Beth gave Maggie and Glenn each a small smile. "I know what you're trying to do, both of you. And I appreciate that you're worried about me. And while I'm not fully better, I am a little better. I don't want to kill myself anymore, but I'm still sad and angry and having trouble dealing with losing Dad." She fell silent after speaking and then said, "Okay, I'll help with the garden." Another sad smile ghosted over her lips. "My Mom taught me how to garden before she died. She and I used to have all kinds of crops and plants for any and every kind of weather."

"She said that we were the only who shared the green thumb in the family. As while Dad was good at gardening and planting and all of it, he didn't really enjoy it like my Mom and I
do... Did.." The blonde quickly corrected herself. It had been a long time since she had lapsed into the past like that, back to when her mother was alive. "Why don't you guys go get ready for breakfast so that I can change, and then I'll join you both, before we go do the garden?" Once Glenn and Maggie had both agreed and left her room, she went shower and changed her clothes.

Then, she put her dirty clothes in a bag to be washed by hand later and found the picture of her family that she had managed to swipe from the farm. Beth ran the fingers of one hand over the picture. Tracing her finger over her father's image, her mother's image, and Otis and Patricia's images. "I miss you guys," She said softly, and then taped the picture to the wall over her bed. Once that was done, Beth turned and left her cell, going to meet Maggie and Glenn for breakfast.

When Glenn and Maggie exited Beth’s cell, the male kept their hands locked together, meshing their fingers. “I think she’s being honest. She seems better. I didn’t see her smile that often after her attempt at the farm but she was smiling just a little. We’ll keep an eye on her but I don’t think there’s any warning signs.” Of course, Glenn could be wrong and he would help watch over Beth but nothing worried him about the blonde. Besides, anyone dealing with the loss of a parent would not be happy the day after. Grieving was normal and as long as she grieved healthily, things would be alright.

The trio ate breakfast together before departing for the day. Glenn relieved Carol from the watch tower and sat in the chair, keeping the binoculars close. It was a quiet, uneventful day spent on watch. The only preoccupation Glenn had during the afternoon was watching how a group of the walkers were starting to form together against the fence. If the walkers continued piling together, the fence might give way in the future. Today, there was not an imminent danger but he would raise his concern to Rick. They should put more people on the fences to keep the load off. It could be a problem for the future.

Soon, Daryl relieved Glenn from his duty. The male was happy to finish and had spotted Maggie and Beth out in the field of the prison, planting some crops and preparing the soil. After he exited from the tower, he found the half-sisters and approached them both with a smile on his face. “Hello, ladies. I’m free now so I guess I’ll spend it with you two.” He teased, standing close to Maggie, greeting her with a kiss on the cheek just reminding her that nothing was wrong and she would find out what he wanted to discuss later.

They remained outside until the sun started to sink behind the trees. Then Maggie finished up the row she was planting and got up from her knees. She glanced to the row on her left and didn't see her half-sister. She glanced to the row on her right, and still didn't see her. Panic started to overwhelm her as she turned in a circle, looking for Beth, only finally calming down when she saw the blonde at the gate, stabbing walkers in the head with a knife. The brunette grabbed her own knife from her belt and made her way over to the blonde and helped her clear off the gate.

It took another hour before they managed to get all of the walkers off the gate, and once that was done, Maggie told Beth to stay inside the gate, and then got Glenn to go inside and get some lighter fluid, and then help her go outside the gate and burn the bodies. Another hour passed before they were done and the fire from burning the walkers had burned out. They went back inside the gate, closed and locked it. Once that was done, the three of them went back into the prison. She watched as Beth disappeared to shower, and then join some of
the others for a movie.

The brunette grabbed a shower of her own and then waited for Glenn to take his. She was curled up in their bed waiting for him when he got back. "Thanks for helping out with the garden. I know you were probably exhausted from being on watch, but I appreciate it. Gardening has always been a way for me to get through to my sister. It was something she
and her mother used to do all the time, and I figured if anything could get through to her, that was it." A few moments later, Maggie stopped talking and kissed Glenn. "I love you."

Glenn lent his hand in the garden all day long. It was good bonding time for the three of them. Glenn found Beth smiling more than she would after a wave of depression and things were looking optimistic. After helping clear out the walkers near the gate, Glenn also burned the bodies with Maggie. The smell of rotten walkers was too much even just outside the gate. Before showering, Glenn found their leader, Rick, and told him what happened at the gate. The walkers were no longer spreading out. They were huddling together and pushing up against the gate with their bodies.

Rick thanked Glenn for keeping an eye out and said they would double the gate duty when this happened again. After showering, Glenn went into the cell he shared with Maggie and smiled. He was shirtless, only wearing his jeans and boxers underneath. “Nonsense, Maggie. All I did was stand and look around on watch. Helping out in the garden was fun. I actually learned a lot. Whenever you’re working in the garden and I don’t have anything going on, I can help. Besides, it’ll give us more time together as well.” Not everything they had to do was done together and Glenn hated that. Whenever he found a chance to spend more time with Maggie, he did.

When the Korean male plopped down onto the mattress, he felt the soft material form to the shape of his body, almost. It welcomed him and made him feel warm, but not as warm as he felt when Maggie’s arms wrapped around him. “I love you more.” Glenn teased, pressing a kiss onto her nose. “Earlier, I said I wanted to talk to you. Can we talk now? Or do you have something else to do tonight?” It was a serious question, not sarcasm. She did a lot around camp so he hoped she had some free time before they slept so they could talk. “Like I said, it’s nothing bad. It’s the opposite, actually. I just don’t know how to say exactly what I want to say.”

"I have plenty of time. Beth and the other's are watching a movie. It's three hours long," She said and then laughed. "So that gives us plenty of time to talk. What's on your mind?" Maggie asked, and even though Glenn said that there wasn't anything wrong, she still couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't true. When most people said that they wanted to talk,
it usually didn't mean anything good. It usually meant that things were about to be over. "If you're having trouble saying what you need to say, then you just need to blurt it out."

"It's okay that you're not sure how to say it. Just take a few breaths and then say, 'Maggie, you're a really nice person, but I just don't think it's going to work out. I hope that we
can still be friend's, even though this is the most cliched thing that's ever been said between a man and a woman..." She said and smiled at him. It was a real smile, a kind one.
Maggie wasn't angry with Glenn. He was a nice guy, and she didn't want him to feel bad because his feelings for her had changed. Sure, it sucked. Majorly. But that's just the way
these things happened sometimes.

"I can have my stuff out in a few hours, okay? I'll find another cell to stay in and I'll share with Beth. Maybe Beth and Daryl can trade cells, this way it won't be too awkward between
us, or for anyone else." Maggie sighed softly, and then moved to get out of the bed. "I just want you to know that no matter what happens now, I still care about you. That's not going
to change just because we're breaking up. When I care about someone, it's for life." She gave Glenn a sad smile and got up from the bed. The young woman started to walk around the cell and began to gather up all of her things to get ready to move them.
