Adri walked them to the front door and watched them leave. She locked the door and since they weren't expecting anyone, she set the alarm and went back to Jake and the gang.
Adri shrugged her shoulder, "I don't know, I just know she was pregnant. I'm sure she is tired though and moody." She said softly and pushed his hair back. "You aren't going to make it through a movie anyways. It's time for your meds."
She grabbed him a bottle of Powerade and his meds and handed him two."you're going to be asleep in no time." She smiled and gave him a kiss.
Jake groaned. "Tired and moody? Ugh. I have to deal with that. Oh my, could you imagine if you both were pregnant at the same time? Luke and I would be doomed." He chuckled.
His eyes closed when she pushed his hair back. "I feel like I sleep the days away. But it is starting to hurt a bit." He let her get up to get his meds.
He took them when she returned. "Hey...why don't we still put something on until I pass out?" He pointed to the puppies who were looking up at them. "They want to cuddle. Especially my girl Rocky."
Adri smiled, "You better shut up because it very well might happen one day. You'll both figure it out and you'll be fine."
She nodded her head to putti on a movie, "Why don't we put on a movie in the room so I don't have to wake you up or leave you on the couch?" She picked up Owen and took him into the bedroom. And then she grabbed the puppies and took them out to use the bathroom before taking them in the bedroom too. Max was by the foot of the bed and the puppies were crawling all over until they found a spot.
Owen's bedtime was soon so he wouldn't last throw the movie. Jake definitely wouldn't make it through it. So Adri picked something on Netlfix and watched it until everyone fell asleep and then she transferred Owen and Max into Owen's room. She took the puppies out again and she finished the movie before trying to get some sleep too.
The weeks passed and Jake slowly got better. It was a long few weeks. He did enjoy the time with Owen but it had been since the Souza fight that he could actually work out. He was going crazy but has been a good sport about it. It also was nice to help train the puppies. He also stuck to a pretty strict diet after eating Chipotle and pizza after coming home. It was nice Adri was willing to help and they could stick to a diet and meal plan.
Jake had his appointment the day before that cleared him to finally work out. It was a big day. He could barely sleep the night before. He was like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. His alarm went off at 6am and he got up. He got dressed. He put on a compression shirt to help with his ribs and a pair of jogging pants. He sat on the bed to tie his shoes.
He let out the dogs first to do their business as he stretched his legs and grabbed his ipod to get ready for his run. Once the dogs were done he let them in and Jake took the puppies back up to Adri. He left with Max to go on a small run. Max needed the exercise too.
When he returned Adri was still asleep with the puppies curled up to her when he grabbed water and went up to check on everyone. He then pulled his phone out as BamBam decided to try to wake mommy up but licking her face.
The next few weeks took their sweet time flying by. With the puppies demanding attention constantly and Owen needing attention and then Jake wanted cuddles there was a lot on her plate. The puppies ruined a few bar stools with their chewing. She had a call a maid to clean up a few stains but for the most part they were easy. Better the more they were trained. Owen still was t walking Jakes dad came and stayed with them for a couple days while Adri went to film the Super Bowl commercial. Then she came back and she'd be home for a few more weeks but she had Togo to LA for a meeting about a big campaign.
Adri frowned at the licking until she realized what it was. She kept her eyes closed and rubbed Bam's head before pulling her head back and kissing the top of her forehead. "Thank you." She said groggily and gave her another kiss.
She looked up and saw Jake recording the whole thing. "You are so creepy." She said softly and sat up. "How was your run?" She asked. She knew he was excited about it. It was all he spoke about on the car ride home.
"We need to discuss this meeting in LA. I could be gone for four days." She said softly and rubbed her tired face. "But it is supposedly an amazing deal that I cannot pass up." She wasn't supposed to take any offers before the fashion show but it was so big her agent and management team were really pushing her to be a part of the meeting.
Jake laughed at Adri. "I'm not creepy. It was cute seeing her wake you up. Instagram will love to see it too." He chuckled. "It was fantastic. Max went too. I get to go to the gym today!!" He said with a big goofy grin. "So don't wait up..." He teased and scratched the dogs. Rocky continued to just lay in bed.
"Okay...when do you leave?" He kissed the puppies. "I'll be okay for four days. I have Amy and dad here to help." He gave her a shrug. "I'll miss you though." He looked her over. "What do you think it is? Before you agree to anything can we discuss it? Especially if it's going to require you to be gone for awhile. Just because I'm going to be training. We have the fight in two months. I can't really travel with you." He also needed his supporter but that would be something he kept to himself because if it was a good offer she couldn't pass it up.
He crawled over to her and gave her a kiss but the puppies tried to get between them. "Oh my gosh go away..." He told them playfully. "I gotta get to the gym. You baby boy is still asleep. Max is going to be a bit tired cause of the run. I love you." He gave her another kiss before getting up.
Adri shook her head, "No you're creepy." She teased. She rolled her eyes when he told her not to wait up. "Take it easy. Okay?" She asked.
"Early next week." She told him and stretched out. "I have no idea. They won't tell me." She rolled her eyes. "I guess I will find out. I'll call that night. We can FaceTime and talk it over. I'm sure it's going to be time sensitive. So that's going to have to do." She said softly.
She laughed when he got on the bed. That was when rocky got up and tried to get in his face. She shook her head and picked her up. "Why don't you love me?" She asked the puppy who clung to Jake like glue and kissed her forehead. "Love me damnit." She laughed and set her back down. "At least I have Bam." She said softly. "You can't take her." She stuck her tongue out at him.
"Youre leaving right now?" She asked and looked at the clock. "And you're goi to be there all day? okay, okay, okay." She groaned and sat up. "I guess I'm up for the day." She rubbed her face. She shifted the shirt she was wearing around so her boobs were all out. It was his shirt with the arms cut off so it was bigger and more comfortable than he clothes.
Jake nodded to her telling him to take it easy. "My fiance told me I had to not over do it. Plus she threatened my trainer..."
He shrugged his shoulders. "We can eve just talk on the phone. I just want to be in the loop babe. That's all." Now that they had talked about things since NY, they've not fought nearly as bad or much. Things at least to Jake, it seemed a lot better.
Jake laughed at her telling Rocky to love her. "She loves you but Bam is all up in your space all the time she feels unloved. She told me. Maybe tonight we should switch. You take Rocky for a bit and I'll take Bam." He gave both dogs a scratch behind their ear.
"I have to ease into it. I may have to take breaks. I don't know how long I'll be. I was only teasing about waiting up. At the latest, I will be home for dinner." Jake looked her over when she sat up. "You know...I can work out. So that means a pre work out work out is totally okay..." He crawled back on the bed and kissed her deeply. "Want to work out with me sexy?" He grinned as he nipped her bottom lip.
"Rocky would have a fit of you took Bam and you know it." She laughed. "But let's do it. We can take them for walks at separate times."
She nodded her head to him easing into it. "I might stop by the gym and do a little workout of my own. Maybe lunch the bag a big or something." She shrugged her shoulder.
She laughed when he got back on the bed and kissed him back. "I'd love too." She said against ibis lips and pulled him on top of her. The puppies however had plans of their own and attacked them then wanting to play and demandin attention. Adri laughed again, "After their walk. They'll be tired and we will have some time together. Or we can go on a date tonight and ask Amy and Luke or your dad to watch O."
"Babe...how am I supposed to work out if you come to the gym in those tight pants. Fuck." He teased her. "Maybe come by with smoothies for you and I?" He raised an eye brow at her. He missed that girl's smoothies.
Jake groaned and looked at the puppies. "Thanks for the cock block girls. Geez." He looked at Adri and thought it over. "I guess I can wait. I'm not worried about O, I'm worried about this rugrats. If we go on a date what do we do with these two? I'm going to want to come back and have you all to myself. While I work out so I can kick ass in a couple months you should work all that out and I'll take you out. What do you want to do?" He asked her. "Hit a show? Movie? Dinner?"
"Tight pants on me is like grey sweats on you. I'll remember that." She laughed, "I'll think about making smoothies. You'll just have to wait and see." She smiled and rubbed his cheek.
"Don't be mean. You should have known that was going to happen when you crawled to me. They hate it when you crawl. It means you want to play." She looked at a Rocky and Bam and then back at Jake.
"They can go with Owen to whoever's house." She shrugged her shoulder, "Dinner and a movie would be nice. Or maybe some time at a casino. I don't know. I'll figure it out. You go work out and I'll see you later." She smiled.
He narrowed his eyes at her. "Be nice...I have to get work done Adriana." He smiled at her. "Well I would like to see you at the gym regardless. Maybe we can do a small work out together for a bit."
Jake looked at the puppies and patted the bed at them and played with them with his hand a moment. He growled at them and put his head down by them to nudge with his head.
"We need to make sure that's okay with them. Or...they could stay here...and we could stay some where." He wiggled his eyebrows at her. "I'm game for anything babe." Jake gave her another kiss before hopping off the bed. Truth was he felt great and could move around with no restrictions or pain. He loved that. "Bye beautiful. I love you." He scratched the puppies ear before going to say bye to O who was still asleep. He gave him a small kiss on the head then headed downstairs and grabbed his bag before going out the door to the gym.
"Okay. My pants won't be too tight." She smiled and nodded her head to them working out together.
"I'll figure it out. Stop worrying about it. Gosh." She joked and pushed him out of the bed so he could go and work out. Maybe we can wrestle and workout that way?" She asked and gave his butt a spank before he got off of the bed. She got up and put on a bra and shorts before going downstairs with him and the puppies.
She made the plans for the night while he was gone and she got their smoothies ready and in the blender but didn't blend them yet. She wanted to prep so she wasn't rushing when Owen woke up. When he did wake up she spent some time with him in his room and then took him downstairs to eat.
A couple hours later, her parents came over to watch Owen and the dogs and she grabbed the bags she packed for her and Jake for the night. She thanked her parents and went to the gym. She walked in wearing a sports bra, a Nike tank top and a pair of compression shorts and Nike shoes. Her hair was up in a bun and she was ready to work out. She took the smoothies she made into the kitchen and put them in the fridge and then she got on a treadmill for a run.
Luke kept his promise to Adri and didn't work Jake too hard but enough to make some progress. He stuck to some exercises that wouldn't aggravate his ribs. Jake felt great though and wanted to go a bit more but didn't want either of them to have to really answer to Adri.
When Adri arrived they were working on striking drills. He was doing combos of punches then kicks. When Jake saw Adri he stopped and smiled at her. "Hey hot stuff..." Luke looked at Jake, "Hey...focus." He tried to punch Jake to get him to focus but Jake blocked it.
After he worked on his combos they worked on his ground game. Jake needed to work up his flexibility again. He needed to stretch more and stay loose. Luke got him in a few submissions, "Come on Jake...you're out of practice and sloppy. Use your weight and counter."
They then took a break and Jake grabbed some water before walking over to Adri. "So...do you come here often?" He teased.
When he came down to her, she slowed her run to a fast walk and smiled down at him, "Not really. There's hardly any eye candy." She teased and stopped the treadmill to get some water. "You want to work on some yoga?" She asked him.
"It will help with your flexibility. I am very flexible. Maybe I can help you out." She smiled.
Jake let out a groan when she told him to focus too. A sigh followed soon after.
"Hardly any at all huh? What a waste to come to the gym if there's no eye candy." He took a drink and looked her over.
"Alright. Teach me yoga. Oh I know you're flexible." He gave her ass a smack and then went over to the yoga mats. "Take it easy on me on my girl will come after you. And she's pretty scary." He teased with a smile.
"I know. I need a new gym I guess." She teased and used the towel to pat her forehead and chest.
She walked with him to a yoga mat and did a few easy poses with him. "We should go to a class together. Some place that has daycare so we can take Owen too." She said softly.
"Or hire someone to come and help us out. Yoga is good for more than flexibility. It's a good stress reliever too. Might be nice to be able to lounge in our backyard and do some yoga in the grass. At least until we can effiecntly do it on our own."
"Yeah...so do I. Not hardly any hot chicks either. Just a weird guy named Luke." He teased and smiled at her.
Jake could maybe do a class. If it helped him with fighting and stress, why not. "I may not be that great at it but why not."
"There won't be any yard left to do anything with three dogs you will have to dodge land mines." He laughed. After the poses he sat on his mat and took a drink. "So...any big plans when you get out of here good looking? Or can I take you out?" He grinned at her.
"The more you practice the better you will be. You can still do the splits right?" She asked a sly smile. "I can do the splits now. Just slide down into them. Not legs wide open though. Only side to side."
She laughed at him and ga e him a kiss. "I am actually taking you out. I have your bag packed and you don't have to take a shower. We are going to stay the night on the strip. Mom and dad are watching O and the dogs so we have no worries."
She grabbed his hand and felt how gross he felt. "Okay never mind. You're taking a shower." She smiled at him and wiped her hand on his shorts. "Gross."
"Yes I can still do them. But I'm not doing them right now... That's awesome you can do them babe." He smiled at her.
He raised an eyebrow. "Wait what? You're taking me out?" He wiggled his eyebrows. "Alright. I can go for this. But your poor parents." He chuckled.
Jake smiled when she felt his hand. "What? That's gross? Come here!" He grabbed her and gave her a huge hug. "How's that. Even grosser?" He purposely wiped his sweat from his head on her. "That's the first work out sweat. That's monumental sweat you now have on you."
She nodded her head, "I'm taking you out." She laughed and nodded her head, "They'll be fine. Max is trained. Owen is getting there and the puppies are their biggest challenge but there are two of them." She laughed. "That's more help than I had." She teased. "And you were a bigger baby than O."
She tried to run away but he caught her and gave her a hug. She pushed her way out of his arms and tried to move away from him. She faked a gag and frowned at him. "You're disgusting and the date is cancelled. Just for that the date is cancelled. How do you like that?" She rubbed his sweat off of her body.
"I don't want your monumental music. Did you think of that?" She looked around, "Luke. Beat his ass in training tomorrow. He deserves it."
His jaw dropped. "I helped. I would let them out and cuddle. I couldn't bend down to feed them. If I did someone would be angry. So leave me alone." He gave her a fake grumpy look. "I was not a bigger baby. Just took advantage of having you home with us so I took advantage of the cuddles. A man has to do what a man has to do..." He shrugged and then stretched a bit.
Jake was cracking up. "I'm not scared. I'll take myself out. You deserve that. All you do is pick on me. Now I'm healed and healthy...pay backs babe. I warned you."
"Luke isn't going to help you." He gave her butt a smack and headed to the locker room. "I'll be fast." Jake went in and showered and changed and walked out with his bag.
"Yes he damn well is on my side. He's on my side and you are getting your ass kicked tomorrow. And you're going to be super sore the day after and then you will remember to never do it again. I'm even thinking about not letting you see the surprise I packed for tonight. I might not even wear it." She told him and crossed her arms.
She watched him go to the locker room and she went to The kitchen. She grabbed the smoothies and handed him one when he got out of the locker room. "Go put that in your trunk. It's not going in mine." She said about his smelly gym bag.
She got in her car with a towel down to protect the seat and then drove him to their hotel for the night. She smiled at him, "We are already checked in. I just have to grab the keys." She left her car with the valet and they took the bags from the trunk up to the room.
She took Jakes hand and led him to the special elevator that would take them to their floor. "My parents did say we could stay the weekend if we wanted too." She said softly. "They understand that we haven't had any time alone in a long time. And I may have told mom we were planning the wedding. She got excited about that." She smiled at Jake and walked to their room and opened the door for him. She took their bags and hung them in the closet.
"So I may packed for two nights and three days." She smiled. She had some suits for Jake some nice jeans and casual clothes and some nice dresses for her. She brought bathing suits and everything else they would need. "But I did tell Amy and Luke to go save them from the dogs." She walked back to Jake and wrapped her arms around his waist, "The only reason you're leaving is to train and then you're right back here."
He narrowed his eyes at her. "Oh you'll show me...again this was just pay back..."
Jake took his bag back to the locker room. "I'm not going to let it bake in my car. I will just leave it here. I'll get it in the morning."
He looked at her as they made their way to the room. "Are we planning the wedding? Or just spending time together?" He wouldn't mind either way. "Wait three days? Did you pack my work out clothes?"
His arms wrapped around Adri. "I'm totally down with this. You are amazing for getting this all planned and set up. What are we doing next? You need shower though..." He teased before kissing her softly.
"We are spending time together. Me and you all alone on the strip. What trouble can we get into?" She smiled. "Everything we need is in the bag. If I didn't pack it, Luke or Amy can go in our room and grab it."
She nodded her head, "Yes. I need a shower. You need to get dressed." She gave him a kiss. "I was think of dinner. There's a nice steak place downstairs. We can go there and then gamble a little bit." She offered. "Or we can get some drinks at a lounge." She shrugged her shoulder, "The possibilities are endless Boo."
She went to hop in the shower and then did her make up and got dressed and pretty short and sparkly Balmain dress. "You ready?" She asked and walked over to a table that had complimentary poker chips on it. She handed him to Jake and slipped two in her purse. "Let's go."
