Star Trek: Protector ( Darkkitten9389 & CrimsonMaster )

Kemper nodded when Lenara approved his plan. He then flashed her a smile. Lenara had become very close with her team. Since they weren't bound by rules which said they couldn't party. Lenara took an active role in becoming sexually close with everyone on the M.A.C.O.'s team. She joined them whenever they partied. Their parties were just a nice way of saying they had sex with each other. It was a mixed team of men and women. When Lenara first joined them. They gang banged her. She had several men, then enjoyed the women before the rest of the men took her. They would be partying again, after returning to the Protector. Lenara knew another sweet night of pleasure awaited those who returned. Sex was more then just an activity. It was also used to bring the team closer and to remember those they lost.

Kemper took Private Justin Saunders with him. The two men split off from the main group. They headed down the hall and around the corner. Kemper wanted to move quickly before anyone was alerted. The rest if the team went with Lenara. They found the power room. Corporal Cole once again over rode the locking system. The door slid open while she slyly smiled at Lenara. The two women had become even closer then Lenara was with the rest of the team. Amanda took great pleasure in being invited to join Lenara in her bed, several times. The doorway was secured while Lenara and Ramos moved in to plant their explosives. As each device was attached to the power core. Lenara used a master switch control to active the bombs. Two loud explosions were suddenly heard. The building shook for a moment. Time was now running out. The garrison would soon learn of the attack and send group troops to the outpost.

Lenara smiled back at him when he flashed a smile at her. The M.A.C.O.'s team had become very close to Lenara and she was very fond of the group. They had taken her as one of their own and they gave her a sense of almost like family, which was something she'd not had in a very long time. She had greatly enjoyed her first night of pleasure with them when they gang banged her and she knew that if and when they returned to the Protector, she was in for another night of sex and pleasure with them.

Once the two men split off from the main group, Lenara nodded to those still with her and they moved quickly to the power room where Corporal Cole unlocked the door, the two women smiling at each other as the door slid open. "Good work." she softly said before entering. With Ramos at her side, Lenara moved in and together they began to plant their explosives. Each time a device was attached to the power core, Lenara activated the bombs using a master switch. They were just about done when the building shook and two loud explosions were heard. "Lets get this finished and get out of here." she said as they set another bomb.

The last explosive were put into place. The rest of the team was holding the hallway outside the power room. Once everyone was together, Lenara led them back to the door which led outside. As the group was approaching the door. Weapons fire could be heard coming from around the far corner. They corner where Kemper and Saunders had gone around. Soon, the two men appeared. Kemper spoke of dealing with the last two Cardassians. The only thing left, was to destroy the building. The explosives planted by Lenara and Ramos would take care of that. All Lenara needed to do now, was to pressed the activation button on her master switch. That would start a 30 second countdown, then the explosives would detonate. Taking out the building and leaving only a huge crater in it's place.

Before Lenara's team could leave the building. Lenara was contacted by Sara. She said a group of Cardassian soldiers beamed into the landing area. The place where the team was beamed down. Sara said she and the rest of the M.A.C.O.'s were engaged in a firefight. She suggested that Lenara hurry up. The position Sara and the others couldn't be held forever. The garrison had more troops and could easily overwhelm the M.A.C.O.'s. Lenara then was contacted by L'Kor. She told Lenara that they lost contact with Captain West's team on the space station. L'Kor then spoke of the Cardassian attack ships starting to search for them. " They are beginning to flood the area with tachyons......It won't be long before we are detected. " L'Kor told Lenara. The tachyons she spoke of, were used by ships to detect vessels which used cloaking devices. While it wasn't always 100%. Enough tachyons in the area would make it very hard to hide the Tagak. They would have no choice but de-cloak the ship and fight the attack ships.

With the last explosive in place, they head out of the room to join up with the rest of the team before they all head back towards the door to the outside. As they approached the door, though, Lenara heard weapon fire coming from around the far corner and she stopped, turning to face the corner. She was ready to fire if any Cardassians came around the corner. However, it was Kemper and Saunders who appeared and Kemper told her that they'd dealt with the last two Cardassians and she nodded before they head out of the building. Before they could step outside though, she was contacted by Sara who told her that a group of Cardassian soldiers had beamed into the landing area and that she and the rest of the M.A.C.O.'s were engaged in a fight. "We'll be there shortly." she told Sara. However, she was then contacted by L'Kor who told her that they'd lost contact with Captain Wests team and Lenara frowned to herself.

"We're just about done here." she told her before she looked a her team. "Lets go." she told them before leaving the building and once outside, she pressed the button to start the 30 second countdown. With that started, she hurried away from the station and towards the landing area where the rest of her team were fighting against the Cardassians. As she neared, Lenara began firing upon them, her team close behind as they aimed for their enemies.

Sara, and those with her. Had moved into a rocky area, between the original beam down point and the outpost. Lenara would find the rest of her team easily among the rocks. The rocks would give them some defense against Cardassian disruptor pistols and rifles. The Cardassians already had an advantage with numbers and firepower. Sara knew she could hold off a force three times her size from the huge rock formations. The M.A.C.O.'s had perfect fields of fire from here. When the first Cardassians beamed into the area. They were greeted with phasers and photon grenades. Sara and he team cut the first group down. Since them, the Cardassians began beaming in further away. They would then move towards the outpost. Despite how good their current location was. Sara knew they couldn't hold it forever. The Cardassians would change their tactics quickly. Sending troops around their position and attack from different sides.

It was lucky that Lenara moved out when she did. After her team left the outpost. A group of Cardassian soldiers beamed right to the structure. Since Lenara already started to 30 second countdown. The Cardassians wouldn't have time to do anything, expect die. The outpost went up in a huge fireball. The explosion shook the area around the structure. In orbit, L'Kor was told that sensors had picked up a large explosion on the planet. " Be ready to beam Commander Singh and her team on board when she makes contact! " L'Kor barked out her order. Her eyes then returned to the view screen. The space station was still there, and they'd lost contact with Captain West. The station had raised it's shields after West and his team beamed over. L'Kor knew it was possible that West and his team were dead. Until they knew what happened. Lenara was now in command of the mission. The Tagak had to change position again. The tachyons, which the Cardassians were using. Made it hard for the Tagak to stay in one position for long. L'Kor needed to stay within transporter range of the planet. If she moved to far away, Lenara and her M.A.C.O.'s would be stranded.

As she neared the rocky area, Lenara spotted her team and she rushed towards them, those with her following closely. Shortly before she reached Sara and the others, the planet was shaken by a loud explosion and Lenara staggered for a brief moment as the ground shook and the air was filled with the sound of the explosion, but she kept moving. Upon reaching them, Lenara took her place amongst her team and began fighting the Cardassian troops coming their way, firing at them.

At the same time, she got into contact with L'Kor. "This is Commander Singh, my team is ready. Get us out of here." she commanded before firing her weapon again. Lenara was worried about West, but for the moment, she didn't show it. Right now, she had to focus on the fight with the Cardassians and fending them off long enough for L'Kor to have them beamed up to the ship. Once on board, Lenara would worry about West and his team. She was aware that while West was missing, she was in command of this mission.

Upon hearing Lenara's voice, Lieutenant M'Ress brought her voice over the louder speakers on the bridge. L'Kor heard Lenara's command. She then ordered the transporter room to beam the team on board. The transporter was activated. On the planet below. The Cardassians were making another attack on the position held by Lenara and her M.A.C.O.'s. Suddenly, all the human bio-signs were gone. The Cardassians on the planet were left, empty handed. Lenara and her team were brought onto the Tagak. L'Kor then ordered the ship to break orbit. They moved away from the planet. However, they stayed near the station. Lenara was in command and she would decide what to do next.

The Cardassian attack ships continued their search of the system. Several were located near the planet. They believed a cloaked ship was behind the attack on the surface and by the trouble on the space station. However, with their current troubles. The Cardassians thought the Romulans were behind this incursion. They didn't know it was a joint Starfleet/Klingon operation. The operation was now Lenara's to lead. She was getting chance to command a ship in battle. Ten attack ships were either searching the system, or moving around Orias III. L'Kor waited for Lenara to reach the bridge and ask for a report.

It was shortly after Lenara gave her command that the team was beamed on board. Just as the Cardassians were about to make another attack on their position when all of the human bio-signs disappeared, leaving them along on the planet empty handed while Lenara and her team appeared on the Tagak. The moment she appeared onboard, Lenara was moving. Her steps were quick and stern as she moved away from the transporter room and towards the bridge. Lenara's mind was racing with questions and worries, but a quick mental shake brought her back to the matter at hand. It didn't take Lenara very long to reach the bridge and the moment she was there, her gaze swept the room.

"Commander L'Kor, report." she said. While Lenara had shifts as the one in charge on the Protector, this was quite different. If West didn't return, Lenara would become Captain and that knowledge made her a little uncomfortable, though she never showed that she might be uncomfortable to anyone. As usual, Lenara was stoic, serious and extremely professional as she took control of the bridge.

L'Kor stood up from the captain's chair once Lenara entered the bridge. She moved to a standing position on the right side of the seat. The center chair now belonged to Lenara. " The Cardassians are continuing to flood the area with tachyons.........They know we are here......It will only be a matter of time before our cloak won't keep us hidden.........We lost our transporter lock on Captain West's team.........We are unable contact them.........Communications are being jammed by the station........The station has raised it's shields.........We must assume the captain and his team is either captured or already dead........We don't know if the explosive charges were set or not. " L'Kor made her report. The Cardassian station had minimal weapons. It was a science station, not built for combat. L'kor said they could de-cloak and attack the station. That could allow them to find the captain. At the moment, Captain West, Lieutenant Coleman, Ensign Brex and two Klingon officers were trapped on the station.

L'Kor added a warning. If they did de-cloak and attack the station. They would drew the Cardassian attack ships into the fight. The station maybe be poorly armed, by the attack ships were better armed and out numbered them. Ten ships to one. The Tagak was suddenly rocked by a nearby explosion. The Klingon officer at the tactical station told Lenara, the Cardassians were using spatial charges. The Cardassians were using missiles, programmed to explode at a predetermined point in space. Like depth charges used by the navies of earth to destroy submarines. The officer added that the Cardassians were blanketing the area with their charges. This meant the Tagak was still undetected. The ship was rocked again. Sparks flew acrossed the bridge from that explosion. One of the control panels blew out. " What are your orders Captain? " L'Kor asked as she stood at Lenara's side. They couldn't leave. The gateway device was still intact. So was the space station.

Once she entered the bridge, Lenara saw L'Kor stand from the Captains chair and she moved over to the center seat. For a brief moment, Lenara hesitated before she sat down and she listened as L'Kor gave her the report on how things were going. She was silent as she was told that the Cardassians were continuing to flood the area with tachyons because they knew that they were there. That it would only be a matter of time before the cloak wouldn't keep them hidden. When she was told that the transporter lock on the Captain and his team had been lost and they were unable to contact them, Lenara frowned slightly.

She was told that they could de-cloak and attack the station, giving them a chance to find the captain and his team who were trapped upon the station. However, if they did, they would be up against the Cardassian attack ships. The fight would be 10 to one, with them being really out numbered. Suddenly the ship was rocked by a nearby explosion and Lenara bared her teeth a little before she looked over at L'Kor when she asked what her orders were.

For a long moment Lenara was quiet before she spoke up. "We're going to attack." she said. They would attack the station and then go against the Cardassian attack ships. It would give Captain West a chance to be found and if they couldn't find him, they're destroy the space station themselves before going against the gateway device. They had all come on this mission with the understanding that they would possibly not return home. It was highly dangerous, but Lenara was a lot like her Captain and she didn't let odds against her cow her from doing her job.

L'Kor stood at Lenara's side, waiting for her answer. She glad to know that stories of Lenara's bravery wasn't just a tall tale. The way Lenara acted when the ship was rocked by an explosion. Spoke of Lenara being a fighter. Her words only helped to cement the fact that she was no paper tiger. There was some Klingon in Lenara. That's what would be said about her from now on. She maybe human, but she was born with a Klingon heart. The heart of a warrior. The Klingon said the same about Captain West. Years ago, while he was the captain of the USS Ranger. West took on four Romulan Warbirds to save a Klingon outpost. The Ranger was no match for the Warbirds, but that didn't stop West. His ship wasn't as powerful, but it had speed and a smaller size. West was able to get in close, make hits and keep from getting hit. The other Romulan ships held their fire when the Ranger was too close to one of their ships. West was able to disable one Warbird before several Klingon ships arrived. The Romulans turned tail and ran. The outpost was saved and Captain West had become a hero to the empire.

Lenara was facing a similar scene. One ship facing overwhelming odds. The space station had limited weapons. However, the 10 Cardassian attack ships posed the problem. The attack ships were quick and well armed. The Tagak was armed with 6 disruptor cannons, one mounted at the end of each wing. The other four were scattered to fire in arcs around the ship. The Tagak also had two forward and one aft firing photon torpedo launchers. There was one thing working in Lenara's favor. Only four of the attack ships were close by. They were in different areas around Orias III. The other six ships were further out in the system, searching there. Most of the Klingons on the Tagak, had no idea what to expect from Lenara. They knew she was a Starfleet Officer. This position didn't always gain the respect it deserved. Some Klingon still called the Starfleet uniform, a "Child's Uniform". However, when Lenara said they would attack. Her words brought a unified cheer from the officers behind her. They would either have a great victory, or they would die an honorable death in battle. " Stand ready to transfer power from the cloak to the weapons!.......On the captain's orders! " L'Kor spoke to the officers. " This could be a great victory......One worthy of song. " L'Kor said as she looked at Lenara. Behind Lenara, the bridge crew stood ready to carry out her orders.

During the times she'd spent getting to know Captain West better, Lenara had heard several stories of his past, including when he was the captain of the USS Ranger. West was a great captain and Lenara was proud to serve beneath him. Her captain had become a friend and confidant to her, as well as a lover. Knowing that she was facing incredible odds was stressful, but she was facing this full on with a backbone and doing what she was about to, was ballsy. She had a brief moment where the thought of running passed through her mind, but she shoved it away. She refused to run. That wasn't who she was and she didn't leave her soldiers left behind and she wouldn't leave her captain behind if she could do something about it.

When she stated that they would attack, the officers behind her began to cheer and she squared her shoulders while sitting forward in the center seat. She listened to L'Kor spoke that they stand ready to transfer power from the cloak to the weapons on her orders and Lenara looked at L'Kor. She mentioned that this could be a great victory. One worthy of song and Lenara nodded before she gave the orders for them to fire upon the station. She was aware that only a couple of the enemy ships were close by, so this was in her favor. The others were further out.

The Klingon tactical officer behind Lenara, dropped the cloak and transferred the power to weapons. The Tagak de-cloaked less then 100 kilometers from the space station. The wing mounted disruptor cannons opened fire. Pounding away at the station's shields. The tactical officer unleashed the forward photon torpedoes. " Captain........Their shields are down to 60 percent..........The four Cardassian attack ships have detected us..........They are closing and will be in weapons range in 2 minutes.........The remaining six are just now moving towards us........It will take them another six minutes before they can join the fight. " The Klingon tactical officer told Lenara. Lieutenant M'Ress, sitting at the communications station, said she still couldn't contact the captain or anyone one his team.

" Captain?........We are holding our position.......Do you wish to change course and strike the attack ships before they can fire? " L'Kor asked while her eyes watch the Cardassian station take a pounding. Suddenly, the tactical officer said he was picking up two humans, one Bolian and two Klingons. He said they were alive, but the transport still couldn't get a lock on them. The officer said the Cardassians were using a device to scatter the transport signal. On the space station. Captain West and his team were trapped in the station's power core. The explosives had been set, but they lost contact with the Tagak. There was no way for them to know what was happening outside the station. Ensign Brex was doing his best to bypass the Cardassian security codes and drop the station's shields.

Being in the center seat during an attack was a little strange for Lenara. She was used to being in charge of the weapons and shields. However, until West was returned to them, she was in charge and had to take his place for the time being. When she was told that the shields were down to 60 percent and that the four Cardassian attack ships had detected them, she nodded before she was told that Lieutenant M'Ress still couldn't make contact with the team in the station. When L'Kor asked her if she wanted them to change course and strike the attack ships first, Lenara nodded.

"Lets hit them before they can hit us." she said and she gave the orders for them to attack the in coming ships. After she gave the orders, the tactical officer said he was picking up on several life signs in the stations. Two humans, a Bolian and two Klingons. This made her pause before she nodded. The change in course and attacking the attack ships would probably take them out of range of the station. However, attacking the in coming attack ships would keep the attention from the Station. Hopefully Ensign Brex would be able to bypass the Cardassian security codes and drop the station's shields soon enough.

After beaming over to the station, Captain West and his team were quickly detected. This was expected, but West thought they would have a little more time. This part of the mission became a running firefight. Captain West and his team reached the station's power core. However, one Klingon and Lieutenant Coleman were wounded before the power core doors could be sealed. Ensign Brex was able to isolate the room from the station's security measures. The explosives were placed around the power core. But, the team was trapped inside the room. Cardassian guards were cutting through the doors to get inside. Captain West ordered Brex to try and override the shields. West and the others stood ready in case the Cardassians did cut through the doors.

Outside the space station. The Tagak turned away, to attack the approaching ships. The tactical officer firing the ship's disruptor cannons and forward torpedoes. The two closest ships were hit. One was destroyed, the other took damage. The other two ships began firing at the Tagak. The Klingon ship was rocked by the Cardassian disruptor blasts. The tactical officer reported that their shields were holding. He returned fire. Another ship took damage before moving off. The fourth ship was destroyed. The tactical officer reported that the remaining six ships were three minutes out. He then fired on those two damaged vessels. One was moving towards Orias III. The other was destroyed by torpedoes. The station started firing on the Tagak. It's disruptors were an older model and weak against the Klingon ship's shields. This made the tactical officer laugh. However, his laughter ended when his sensors picked up on something unexpected. " CAPTAIN!.......The gateway device has activated! " The tactical officer spoke as he switched the image on the viewing screen. Lenara would be able to see the outer ring of the device pulsing with power. The power pulsing was steadily growing, becoming more intense. The tactical officer then said he believed the device was building to an overload. He said once it reaches a high enough power level. The device would explode. " Captain West must have gained control over the device. " Lieutenant M'Ress spoke with a slight purr in her voice. Suddenly, the female feline's voice raised. She told Lenara that the station's shields just dropped. " Confirmed Captain.........We have a transporter lock on Captain West and his team. " The tactical officer spoke.

Lenara watched on the screen's as they began to attack the approaching ships. The Tagak hit two of the ships which were closest to them, one being destroyed while the other one took on damage. At the same time, the other two ships began to fire back at them. When they were hit, the Klingon ship was rocked but the tactical officer reported that their shields were holding before he returned fire. They damaged another ship and destroyed yet another. Upon hearing that the remaining six ships were three minutes away, she nodded while thanking him. They continued to fire upon the ships going against them, destroying a third one while another took on damage, after which it moved towards Orias III. It was after this that the station began to fire upon the Tagak and Lenara shook her head, a small smirk quirking the corner of her mouth as the tactical officer laughed.

His laughter was cut off however, when he picked up on something and he spoke, telling her that the gateway device had been activated. He switched the image of the viewing screen and Lenara leaned forward a bit, gazing at the screen. She watched as the outer ring of the device pulsed with power. Steadily the power began growing and becoming more and more intense. The thought of the device building to overload had already passed through Lenara's mind before the tactical officer had even spoken and she murmured an agreement after he said that it would explode once it reached a high enough power level. Hearing Lieutenant M'Ress's voice, Lenara looked over at her and she nodded. "Indeed, he must have." she agreed before she was told that that stations shields had dropped.

The moment Lenara was told that they had a transporter lock on the Captain and his team, Lenara gave orders to beam them up. "Get them out of there." she said. "Then we can finish this."

The gateway device continued moving towards an overload. This hadn't been how they planned on destroying the device, but it would work just the same. Unable to gain control of the station's shields. Captain West told Ensign Brex to try something else. To find some other way for the shields to come down. Brex set upon the idea of gaining control over the gateway device. He was able to and set the device into an overload. Brex then changed the command codes. This wouldn't keep the Cardassians from getting control of the device back. However, they wouldn't be able to do this before the gateway device exploded. Faced with their deaths. The Cardassians dropped the station's shields and began to evacuate. The six remaining Cardassian attack ships, broke formation and began leaving the area. They were moving off to a safer location.

The Klingon tactical officer proudly told Lenara, the enemy was retreating. Lieutenant M'Ress relayed Lenara's orders to the transporter room. She then waited to hear that the captain and his team were on board. " Commander.......The captain and his team have been beamed over. " The pretty Caitian spoke with a happy purr in her voice. Once on board, Captain West had Brex set off the explosives. The exploding gateway device would destroy the station when it went up. But, Captain West didn't want to take any chances that something would survive one explosion. The station's explosion rocked the Tagak. The Klingon tactical officer confirmed they felt the station blowing up. He then said the gateway device would explode in less then 30 seconds. " Our work here is done........We have won a great victory.......Shell we go to warp? " L'Kor asked Lenara. She was still in command until Captain West reached the bridge.

The return of her captain and his team, along with a quick get away was something that Lenara was currently hoping for. As the gateway device moved closer and closer to an overload, the Cardassian's began to evacuate and the six remaining attack ships turned tail and fled the area, wanting to move to a safer location. Lenara could feel her heart beat beginning to pick up just a little as the Klingon tactical officer told her that the enemy was retreating and she nodded. This news, along with the news that the captain and his team were on board were truly welcoming and she was able to relax a little.

The Klingon tactical officer confirmed that they felt the station blowing up and that the gateway device would be exploding in less then 30 seconds. "Yes, take us into warp." she told L'Kor. "Lets get out of here." After she spoke, Lenara looked around the bridge at those who had worked with her. She was proud of her crew and those that had worked with her. Now that the mission was done and they'd had a victory, they could leave. She didn't know if they had suffered any losses or any got injured, but if they didn't, she would be very pleased.

The helmsman set a new course. One which would take the Tagak out of the system. The battle cruiser made a turn, then the ship jumped to warp. A second later, the gateway device exploded. The explosion sent a shock wave throughout the Orias system. The Tagak was already gone, handing back to federation space. The clocking device was activated moments later. The ship was still deep in Cardassian space. There would also be countless patrols to avoid before the Tagak was save. It would take several days to reach Starbase 133. Until then, there was much to celebrate. A great victory had been won by the mixed Starfleet and Klingon crew. The Klingons were already looking forward to reveling in the victory. No race partied harder then Klingons after they've won a battle.

Captain West reached the bridge. The Tagak was already underway. Lenara reported that they detected the gateway device exploding. All the objectives for the mission were met. The research outpost, the space station and the gateway device were all destroyed. Even if the Cardassians could build another device. It would take them years to get as far as they had gotten this time. By then, the war would most likely be over, one way of another. " Nice work commander........Starfleet Command and the Klingon High Council will be very pleased. " Captain West spoke while smiling at Lenara. He then congratulated the Klingon crew for their part in victory. The Klingons returned the captain's words with a cheer. " We have won glory for the House of Klang!........A house we all proudly serve! " L'Kor spoke with great pride in her voice. She and those who served on the Tagak, all came from smaller houses. However, they all pledged their lives to the larger and more powerful House of Klang. This was normal within the Klingon Empire. Smaller houses allying themselves with houses with seats on the high council. L'Kor then said they would have a celebration later in the mess hall. She announced that Captain West had brought three barrels of blood wine with him. Each barrel was of the 2309 vintage. There was no finer vintage. L'Kor then asked if Lenara would be joining them? She knew the captain would be there, but Lenara didn't have to join them. None of the Starfleet crew did. But, all were welcome to celebrate the victory.

As the battle cruiser turned and then jumped into warp, Lenara mentally sighed and relaxed a little as they began to head out of the Cardassian space. The cloaking device was activated quickly. With them still deep in Cardassian space, there would be plenty of patrols in the area that they wanted to avoid on their way back to Federation space. It would take the ship a couple days to reach Starbase 133, but on the way they would celebrate the successful mission and the victory that they'd had won over their enemies.

When Captain West stepped onto the bridge, Lenara stood and turned to face him as reports were made to him. She told him that they had detected the gateway device exploding and she told him that they were quickly on their way back to Starbase 133. When he praised her work, Lenara looked up at her Captain with a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips and he'd recognize the signs that she was pleased with his praise. "Thank you Captain West. It is a relief to see you back with us." she softly told him before turning over the Center seat to him.

L'Kor then spoke up about them having won glory for the House of Klang and Lenara smiled a little wider as she gazed around at everyone who served the House of Klang. L'Kor said that there would be a celebration in the mess hall later and that Captain West had brought three barrels of blood wine with him. When she was asked if she would be joining them, Lenara looked at the other female for a moment before nodding. "I believe I shall." she told her. "I've heard much about how Klingons celebrate after battle, but I've never had the chance to experience it."

Captain West took the center seat once Lenara stepped away. She'd done a great job in command of the Tagak. Her part in this victory over the Cardassians, would only add to her fame within the House of Klang. Lenara had already saved Captain West's life during a battle against Jem'Hadar soldiers on Quintar IV. She took a blow from a blade which would have killed the captain. Had Lenara not been the daughter of Khan Noonien Singh. The genetically altered tyrant, who once ruled one quarter of Earth's population. She would have died from the savage wound she received. Saving Kyle West's life, was seen as a great deed to those members of the House of Klang. Even those who served this great Klingon House, knew of the self sacrifice Lenara was willing to make. The crew of the Tagak had heard they would serve with Lenara Singh. They also got to fight with her as their captain. Lenara had made over 500 Klingon friends on this day. That's how many proudly served about the Tagak.

L'Kor smiled when Lenara accepted the offer to join the celebration. " You have the heart of a true Klingon beating within your fine breasts Commander. " L'Kor spoke with a sly smile. Her words drew chuckles, and grins from other Klingons on the bridge. Lenara was a fine looking woman. She also proved herself to be a warrior. Lenara would make a fine mate for any Klingon. Male or female. L'Kor excused herself, she then left the bridge. Captain West asked Lenara how her part of the mission went? He had no idea of the number of wounded or dead she had while assaulting the research outpost. West listened as Lenara made her report. The captain was pleased that everything went better then expected. None of the MACO's were lost. Captain West said one Klingon was wounded and Lieutenant Dan Coleman also received a wound during a firefight. Both were currently under the care of Doctor Marks. The captain said both would be alright in a day or so.

Captain West then asked Lenara to step closer to his chair. After she did, he explained a few details of Klingon celebrations. Lenara knew how Klingons lived to drink after a victory. Kyle told her to expect songs to be sung. Stories to be told and he warned her about the head butts. Klingons love to roughly horse around while celebrating. Part of the horsing around was head butting each other. For a normal human, this could lead to time in sick bay. Even for someone like Lenara, the head butt could be painful, and she could need medical care. Captain West said he warned Erica about this. Since she was their only doctor on this mission. She may have to deal with some head trauma cases. Captain West wanted Lenara to pass the word of warning onto the MACO's, just in case they attend the party in the mess hall. Kyle then told Lenara how his part of the mission went. He explained that things fell apart quickly once they beamed aboard the station. " We were in a running firefight for before reaching the room with the station's power core..........That's when R'Kar and Coleman were wounded.........I was able to get everyone inside the power core room........Ensign Brex then locked the door and I sealed us inside with my phaser. " Kyle spoke, he then talked of being trapped inside. The captain knew there was no way off the station while it's shields were up. He spoke of ordering Brex to try and take them down. This proved easier said then done.

" Brex tired.....But he couldn't override their shields.......However......He came up with the idea of taking over the gateway device. " Captain West continued with a smile on his face. He spoke of how Brex broke into the command codes for the device, then set it to overload. The captain told Lenara how Brex changed the command codes, making impossible for the Cardassians to regain control over the device before it exploded. The space station wouldn't have survived the explosion, even with it's shields up. The station was far to close for that. The Cardassians had no choice, they had to drop their shields and run. " It's a good thing we were dealing with Cardassians and not Jem'Hadar.........The Jem'Hadar wouldn't have ran........And we wouldn't be here having this conversation. " Captain West added. Lenara knew all to well that the Jem'Hadar always stood their ground, and never retreated, not unless they were ordered to do so. Before Lenara left the bridge to speak with her MACO's. Captain West told her he was putting everyone in for commendation once they got back to Starbase 133. The team Lenara picked did a great job. Captain West said Lenara & Ensign Brex would feature highly in his report. He expected her report on the MACO's before they reached their home port.

Once she stepped away from the center seat, Lenara watched him sit down. Many had heard about the actions of the woman who had been so willing to sacrifice her own life for that of her captain. She was very dedicated to her captain and she'd become quite fond of him. Sure, back when she had first arrived to serve upon his ship, Captain West didn't like her because of who her father was, but over time he'd come to see that she wasn't her fathers daughter and she was an honest, hard working, passionate and dedicated officer. After accepting the invitation to join the celebration, L'Kor smiled and told her that she had a heart of a Klingon beating within her fine breasts.

When she was told this, Lenara glanced briefly at West and chuckled while smiling at L'Kor, her head held high. "So I've been told in the past. And I will always take great pride in such a compliment." she told L'Kor. It wasn't long before L'Kor excused herself and left the bridge. It was then that Captain West asked Lenara about how her part of the mission went and she began to speak, telling him about everything that had happened, from the time her team touched down to them being brought back on board. She said that as far as she had seen and heard, none of her team had been injured. This was followed by West telling her about how only one Klingon and Lieutenant Dan Coleman had been injured. Other then that, everyone was fine.

Captain West then asked her to step closer to his chair. This caused her to raise and eyebrow curiously at him before she did as he asked and he began to explain a few details of Klingon celebrations. She stood there calmly, letting him tell her more about what happened when they did. He warned her about how rowdy things could get and he warned her about the head butts that happened. "Thank you for the warning, Captain. I shall make sure my team know about this, should they decide to join in the celebrations." she told him. Kyle then told her about his part in the mission and how things had fallen apart so quickly.

She smiled slightly as he spoke of how Brex had manage to come up with the idea of taking over the gateway device and changed the command codes so that the Cardassians wouldn't be able to regain control. "Brex is a fine officer." she told him with a nod. The woman softly sighed when he mentioned it being a good thing that they had been dealing with Cardassians and not Jem'Hadar. "Indeed we wouldn't." she agreed. After she had spoken and Captain West told her about how he was going to put everyone in for commendations once they returned to Starbase 133, and that both she and Ensign Brex would feature highly in his report, she thanked him before assuring him that he would have her report on the MACO's long before they reached their home port. She looked away from her captain for a moment, gazing around them before she spoke again, her voice gentle. "I had been greatly worried when I learned that contact with you had been lost." she softly told him without looking at Kyle for the moment. If Kyle looked at her, he'd be able to see that her smile had disappeared and her face had become the mask of seriousness when she was discussing something important to her. "I worried that I might of lost, not just my captain, but someone I saw as a friend." she murmured. "It was a great relief to me when they finally were able to regain contact with you."

Captain West wasn't looking at Lenara when she spoke her worries. His eyes had been watching the stars zip by on the main viewing screen. Positioned at the front of the bridge. Hearing Lenara admit her worries, took Kyle by surprise. Normally, Lenara kept her emotions closed off while on the job. People often joked that she was really a Vulcan, altered to look human. The softer, caring side of Lenara wasn't seen, unless she was behind closed doors. West turned his head, looking away from the view screen. His eyes were now fully on Lenara. The seriousness of her face was easy to see. She spoke of him as her captain, but also as her friend. Lenara's words made Kyle feel good. When they first met, Kyle didn't want anything to do with her. She was the daughter of a mass murderer. Khan had caused the death's of Kyle's birth family. West wasn't happy to be saddled with Lenara back then. Since then, she'd proven herself many times over. Lenara was the best and the hardest working First Officer, Kyle ever had. He was damn proud to have her at his side.

Since Lenara saved his life. She & Kyle had become very close. They had breakfast together every morning. Ate lunch, or dinner together whenever nothing else was planned. They even shared each other's bed from time to time. Kyle & Lenara were closer then most captains and their first officers would be. The fact that she thought of him as a friend, touched Kyle deeply. " Your concern for me is touching Lenara........Thank you for caring and thank you for proving me wrong..........I misjudged you when we first met.......Since then you've become the best first officer any captain could have.........I'm proud to have you at my side and to have you as my friend. " Kyle spoke his words while looking up at Lenara. He gave her a soft smile. Lenara was the type of first officer, every captain wanted. However, there were those who wouldn't have given her a chance. Kyle was glad that he did give Lenara that chance.

Lenara had finally left the bridge to speak with the MACO's. None had planned on attending the celebration. They would be holding their own special celebration after getting back to the Protector. Lenara knew the type of celebration they would be holding. She'd be apart of that one as well. The Klingons who were on duty, gathered in the mess hall. The blood wine was already flowing. Captain West entered the room. He was greeted by cheers from the Klingons. Captain West was handed a large metal tankard of blood wine. Kyle toasted the crew of the Tagak.

By the time Kyle turned his head and looked away from the viewing screen, Lenara had looked away from him and was gazing at that same screen. West knew how much Lenara held her emotions close to her chest and rarely let others see past her stern outer shell. He had become one of the few to worm his way past her defenses and they had shared many conversations since becoming close. He had learned of her past growing up and of the difficulties she'd faced growing up as the daughter of Khan. He'd also been told of her failed relationship with a man who she'd thought had loved her. A man who had merely wanted to fuck her so he could claim her as a conquest. Fortunately she'd never lain with that man and had broken off their engagement before she severed all ties with him. It had been him that made her closed off to most others for a long time.

But now she had a handful of lovers who genuinely cared about her and she for them. Kyle West was one of those people. After she spoke, Kyle responded and she remained gazing at the viewing screen for a little bit, her slender but strong arms crossed over her abdomen in a relaxed pose. Finally she looked at him as he thanked her and said that she'd become the best first officer any captain could have. That he was proud to have her at his side and to have her as a friend. The woman gazed at her captain for a long moment before she returned his soft smile. As usual, her face instantly softened when she smiled and her striking blue-grey eyes glimmered as she looked at the man at her side.

Lenara eventually had to leave the bridge to speak with the MACO's. She found them and spoke with them about the celebration that was going to be held in the mess hall. She knew about the kind of celebration that they would be holding after returning to the Protector and she was looking forward to it. So she told them that she would be in the mess hall for a time and that if they changed their minds they were always welcome to join them. Later, after the celebration had already started, Lenara was a little late arriving. She had been finishing up her report, as always putting her work first before she relaxed and enjoyed herself. Finally she joined the celebration. Even as she approached, she could hear the cheering from the Klingons and she smiled to herself as she approached the mess hall and she entered.

Captain West had been in the mess hall for several minutes. He was speaking with L'Kor when Lenara entered. Her appearance drew louder cheers from those gathered. They cheered her name, showing their pride for having served with her. A tankard of blood wine was thrust into her hand. A male Klingon told her to drink up and enjoy herself. " It is a time for celebration and song Commander! " The Klingon Officer spoke boldly. He then started laughing while looking around at his fellow Klingons. The group broke into a Klingon victory song called Yijah Qey oH. It didn't take long before the entire room was singing. Captain West even joined in as he stood with L'Kor. Lenara's body could handle alcohol better then a normal human. Even Klingon alcohol didn't effect her as quick as it effected non-augmented humans.

The fact that Lenara was born with augment DNA, wasn't generally known outside the federation. The augments had become a dirty little secret. Something most humans wanted to forget about. The Klingons had encountered a group of human augments in 2154. Two of these altered humans killed the crew of a Klingon Bird of Prey, then stole the ship. The group then stole thousands of augment embryos from a research base called, Cold Station 12. These embryos were left over from Earth's Eugenics Wars. This group of augments was finally stopped by the USS Enterprise NX-01, under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer. However, the Klingons were upset by how easily two humans could kill an entire crew and steal one of their warships. The Klingons found remains of the augment embryos. They began their own research, in the hopes to create a better Klingon. To this day, the Klingons don't speak with outsiders of the events which followed their plans to make better Klingons. Things didn't go as planned. Some Klingons lost the ridges on their foreheads, becoming more human looking. It took many years before the effects of the experiment wore off.

The party went on for many hours. It didn't stop until all three barrels of blood wine were emptied. The Klingons sang songs and told stories throughout. Captain West held his own when it came to drinking blood wine. He'd drank enough over the years and knew how to pace himself. During the party. Lenara was challenged by a female Klingon officer to a test of strength. The woman lost easily, much to the delight of the men standing around. She then challenged one of the men to try and take Lenara down. What the Klingons did was stand facing each other. Their right feet were extended out and touching the other's foot. They then grab onto each other's right hands. The object is to throw your opponent to the floor. It didn't take long for Lenara to toss the Klingon male onto his backside. This drew even more laughter. Klingons were strong, but even they couldn't match the strength of an augment. Once the party was over, Captain West returned command of the ship back to L'Kor. Several days later, the Tagak reached Starbase 133. The captain, Lenara and the others returned to the Protector. The war had taken a drastic turn while Captain West & Lenara were away from their ship. The news would be very surprising, but not the only surprise which waited for them.
