Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

((She doesn't need proof when she has an unreasonable amount of rage!))

Megohime had grown more and more anxious as nearly half the guards in the palace were sent to find the missing shard she had been chasing after, and soon, she was no longer able to restrain herself simply to the room they were given. She went out in search herself, trying to find the boy or the shard, but most likely, they were together again.

Megohime was beyond frantic, and every soldier she saw, she wanted to cut down. Restraining herself from the mass slaughter she desired, she continued on, close to tears until she spotted Masamune. "Have you found it?"

Megohime seemed to deflate in Masamune's presence, her face forming a look of distress rather than anger. "How could this happen?" She sounded close to tears. "I was so close."

Megohime leaned against him, then slowly she became rigid. "Masamune... You didn't give the shard back to that boy... Did you?"

"He's your son." She scowled more, it all started to click into place. Had he let Hidemune escape with the shard. "Tell me you didn't! Look me in the eye and tell me you didn't let that boy leave with it!"

Masamune was a damn good liar if he needed to be. And right now, he needed to be because his life depended on it. His chest tightened and he looked her dead in the eye, he hated lying to her. "I didn't let him leave with the shard."

Megohime could feel a tightness in her chest that wasn't her own, and she clutched at her chest with a growing frown. She lowered her gaze, her head as well, and took a step away from him. "Why would you lie..?" She didn't sound angry, or even upset, she sounded utterly and completely heart broken. "Why would you do this..?"

Fuck. "Mego..." He couldn't dig himself out of this one. "You don't understand...he's bonded with her. Destroying that connection would be like having you taken from me...!"

Megohime shook her head, tears scattering to the ground as she clutched at her chest harder. Then she was gone, her human form was replaced with her sword form, dark rust quickly engulfing the beautiful blade before it flattered to the ground, scabbard and all.

The rusted weapon actually shocked Masamune, not enough to harm him, but enough to startle him. He felt no energy coming from the blade, and she didn't respond to him.

And pout she did, for weeks Megohime refused to speak to anyone, she never changed back to human form, and she remained rusted shut. Masamune, even with his full strength, was unable to draw Megohime, and when he did leave her behind, she reamained as a sword even still.

Megohime, like every other time Masamune spoke to her, said nothing. The once beautiful silver blade was rusted shut, covered in a thick layer of ugly red rust.

There was no voice, no hum, no electricity. She was completely refusing to speak to him, she wouldn't, couldn't. Her heart hurt too much, she didn't want to be heard or seen anymore.

As soon as Masamune stepped foot inside the forge, Megohime shocked him, hard enough to make him drop her.
