Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Nana ground her teeth but gave a small nod anyway. Ever since Akihime had taken parts of her legs, she wasn’t able to speak with Motochika, either he was ignoring her, or he wasn’t able to respond, either way scared her very much.

Nana didn’t trust a single tooth in Akihime’s smile, hoisting herself out of the tank and dropping to the floor. She stopped mere inches before she actually hit the floor, floating in place and glancing to Akihime. Mitsunari has to be nearby, if Amaya wasn’t. She knew she could physically trump Akihime, but without her powers, she’d lose in a fight against Mitsunari or Amaya.

Nana refused to look at Akihime, only following Akihime at a slight distance, looking around as they walked through the halls, listening to Akihime chatter on.

None of this settled her heart, she didn’t care to see the sea if Motochika wasn’t standing beside her, she didn’t care for the sunlight if Motochika wasn’t there to enjoy it with her.

They wandered to a section of Osaka that Nana didn't recognize, a section she didn't think she had ever been to. Then again, she never ventured far from the housing they were given. It looked like an arena of sorts, a training area perhaps?

Nana felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up, she could smell blood; human, animal, and inhuman alike. She could also sense something else: Motochika.

Akihime moved to stand in the overview with Nana, looking down into the arena. Motochika was barely on his feet, exhausted and bruised. "Ta da! See? I told you we would see him!" Akihime smiled.

Nana felt her heart break, and her ears fell flat against her head. She flew forward, yanking the chain from Akihime’s hand and falling down the thirty feet into the pit. She didn’t try to slow her fall, stumbling down onto her knees before hurrying toward Motochika. She cupped his face gently, tears in her eyes as she looked over his wounds.

She shook her head furiously, gently pulling him down into her arms, cradling his head against her chest. She shushed him and pet his tangled hair, shaking as she muffled her sobs. She was making Motochika fight? Like some sort of wild animal? It made her sick.

Nana tried to speak to him, but he didn’t seem to hear her words. He too, had a runed collar on, but his was much more sturdy, made of solid steel and not ornate like Nana’s. She picked his head up and motioned to her collar, like she wanted him to do something with it, perhaps remove it?

He looked it over before his fingers ghosted over the metal. "No!" Akihime's voice rang out firmly, like scolding a dog, before a spark of lightning zapped Motochika in the back, causing him to jerk away, "Bad Chosokabe!"

Nana gasped and quickly put herself between Motochika and Akihime. She touched his back gently, seeing all of the scald marks, and her rage grew. She hissed through her teeth, how could she do this to Motochika? Treat him like some sort of beast.

"You're being quite rude, Nana. You should know better than to ask him to remove your collar. I would have to kill the both of you." Akihime scolded.

Nana had some choice words for Akihime, but due to her inability to speak, she couldn’t share those words with her. She nudged Motochika once more, but stood still between Akihime and her husband. If only she had the collar off, then she’d be able to fight her way out.

"Ishida." Akihime called and Mitsunari seemed to come out of the shadows. He still seemed indifferent, as he always did. "Grab Nana-dono and bring her back up here, she's being rather disrespectful."
"Hai." Mitsunari jumped down and landed easily, moving and grabbing Nana's chain, "Let's go."
"Go, Nana..." Motochika pleaded weakly, "Please..."

She shook her head and refused to budge, even going so far as to grab her end of the chain and try to yank it free from Mitsunari’s hands. She wouldn’t leave Motochika, not in the state he was in. He could hardly stand, and they wanted him to continue to fight? She wouldn’t allow it as long as she took breath.

Nana turned to look at Motochika, teeth bared and ears flat. She was clearly upset, upset she couldn’t voice her opinion, and upset that she’d have to watch. She ground her teeth hard, but did as Motochika asked of her, moving to Mitsunari’s side with a scowl.

Mitsunari pulled Nana back up to stand beside Akihime, who gave a scolding glance. "Shame on you, Nana-dono." She huffed, "You almost ruined the fight."
