"your gonna marry him and your gonna like it!"

Charis' father called from the other side of the door, Charis rolled her eyes as she was in the dressing room looking at the dresses her mother helped pick out.

" But dad i don't want to marry someone i have never even met before, i mean ya he is the hot young owner of one of the biggest companies in gaming, but still i don't feel compfortable with this"

she pouted slightly looking at herself in the mirror and pulling her long auburn hair up slightly and sighed softly ooking at the beautiful strapless number he had on.

" i guess this wil have to do i have been here all damn day"

she blew her long bangs out of her face and walked to the counter to select the jewlery just for the dress.
 
Seto was not pleased as his little brother Mokuba picked a tie for him for the Miai meeting. He moved his head side to side as he lifted various types for him to try on. Later on He seemed out of place wearing a blue suit and matching tie

"Mokuba I am really not comfortoable with these clothes... I would rather wear my usual duel outfit."

Mokuba frowned at him and looked at him with disapproval.

"But Big bro you know that this is the first time youre meeting your future wife! Its important that you look presentable to her and that you show her your nice side"

Kaiba looked at him with a bit of annoyance sparkling in his eyes.

"I dont have a nice side Mokuba. I am the CEO of Kaiba Corporation and I have much more pressing matters than girls on my hands."

The both of them left on their personal chopper to dine on the top of the largest most expensive restaurant in domino City where they were expected to meet with the girl and her father.
 
Charis rolled those pretty green eyes while her mother and the sales woman just giggled and laughed and how beautiful she looked in her new wedding dress, she shoke her head and grabbed the black dress she had brought with her along with her things to fix herself up to look her best, she had to admit that she was a bit excited to finally meet him, but a bit annoyed as well, she pulled on the short floaty dress that hugged her curves nicely and started to play with her hair till it was fixed in a pretty up-do, she applyed a bit of make up to make her eyes seem more cat like then hopped around the dressing room to pull on her 3 inch heels, she grabbed her purse and made a few adjustments before spraying a squirt of perfume on and walking out of the dressing room where her father was dressed in a slacky suit and took her hand under his arm and led her to the chopper which took off to the resturant.

She tapped her fingers slightly wanting to get this evening over and done with, she looked to her father who seemed to be pretending she wasn't there before the chopper landed and she got out and stepped down lightly, she looked over seeing the Kaiba corp logo ont he other chopper and sighed.

"Guess he is just as thrilled as i am" she said to herself before her father came up grabbing her arm
" I ill not have you ruin this deal for me by being a smart-alec " he said gruffly before leading her tot he doors and into the Restaurant where he said who they were meeting and was led outside to a private area , her father was ahead of her she was playing her her hair a bit before she looked up and saw him.
 
Seto was waiting outside his chopper looking out to space as the other chopper landed on the other heliport. He stood tall. Being over 6 feet and looking very handsome in his suit he seemed quite uninterested in meeting and marrying his new wife. Mokuba was seemingly the most worried one. Kaiba turned on his feet facing his business partner and the girl behind him. She was definitely cute. But to him all girls were a nuisance things that got in the way of his duty (Running his company) And his passion (Duel monsters).

"Welcome" he said to her father and the family that came with him. He bowed like the japanese customs dictate and shook his hand.

He stepped close to his bride to be and proceeded to kiss her hand. No matter how much he disliked the situation he was educated as a gentlemen and had to keep appearances. He looked into her eyes. She had pretty eyes, the kind you don't see everyday. Even when he didn't like the arranged marriage he was starting to grow a soft spot with this girl he was marrying and yet still didn't know her name.

"Well then shall we proceed to the Banquet room?"

He said as Mokuba walked in front of everyone and trembled even when he was little he wondered what kind of relationship awaited these two.
 
She gazed up to the icy blue eyes of he duel master himself and smiled slightly when he kissed her hand, that was probably an act, He father introduced is daughter to the gentle before them

"this is my lovely daughter Charis"

Charis would only bow slightly only enough that the dress would alow, she walked with her father her long legs walking elegantly towards the table and sitting down when her father pulled the chair out for her, she was very lady like and found herself seated next to Seto, she had a feeling this would happen so she tried to hold back a slight blush when everyone else sat down, she looked at the menu idly reading the different titles but stll listening to the conversation, her back was straight and legs crossed at the ankle like the proper lady should sit.
 
As they walked in Seto introduced himself to Charis.

"I am Seto Kaiba. It is a pleasure to meet you. Your father talks about you highly. And I see those words weren't misspoken."

He said to her as the both of them were approaching the table and sat next to each other. Seto had no doubts he wanted her father's company's research he was more wary of what to do in case he could not keep her happy for now he would play along and make sure she wouldn't be unhappy at all. Treat her to whatever she would need for a divorce would be a great nuisance for him as well as that would make her father stop the deal.

He had to keep her pleased in any aspect. No matter what.
 
Charis watched him and let him see a bright smile, maybe he was genuinely excited to see her, but she still found the whole concept odd.
" and i have heard many stories about you, i hope not all of them are true" she let that smile come back before she took a sip of the water that was sitting there in front of her she looked at her father letting him see a glare before she turned back to Seto the glare seeming to disapper as if it were never there, she would play the good girl for now, but she is gonna give seto something to not like, she can play a needy and demanding woman just as well as she is playing her innocent act now.
 
Seto was fond of those green eyes she had, almost like emeralds. Those seemed to be her distinctive feature. He found himself intrigued as to what kind of things she could be referring to, still he gave her a soft gaze. Almost like a smile. Then he told her:

"I am not one to listen to rumors yet I wonder what kind of things you might have heard that make you feel uneasy Miss Charis."

He said with his usual brisk and gruff tone.
 
She gazed at him and said nothing for a moment before she switched her legs a bit and laughed softly " do you want to hear the good things....or the bad things " she smirked slightly and leaned forward a bit and tilted her head " now i hope your not putting on an act for me Seto" she held her smirk and laced her fingers together letting her lips pout out a bit.

Her father's face turned red now at how his daughter was acting but he didn't sa anything he only watched then cleared his throat " Lets get to business shall we?
 
He tried to pay no mind to her comment yet he knew that some things he had done he was not very proud of. Instead he turned to Charis' father and agreed.

"Yes I believe we have to get to business"
 
She watched him for another second before looking to her father then to the waiter that came up to their table, she softly said what she wanted then handed him the menu and waited for everyone else to Order, she would sip her drink and barely listen to the conversation that her furtur husband and father were having, she could honestly careless about it. she looked out the window and first thing that came to her mind , would it kill me if i jumped, she rolled her eyes and turned back to the two talking then looked to setos younge brother who wasn't talking, she smiled and leaned over and whispered in his ear gently " im glad that im not the only one who is bored " she joked quietly and smiled brightly at him.
 
Mokuba smiled at her and looked worried.

"Ah, well I am not really bored but this is a big step for my bro, please dont think bad things about him he is really a nice person. He just has a lot to worry about. And that gets him stressed."

He signed her for her to come closer to him so he could whisper at her.

"My big bro doesnt show it but I think he likes you a lot. So I beg of you. Please take good care of him. I am sure I can entrust this to you." Mokuba blushed lightly and looked down at his own feet with a smile


Kaiba finished the preparative talk and signed the contract for the deal and was ready to sign the marriage license. He looked at her once more. It seemed he was rather pleased with his new acquisitions. But having been thought manners doesnt make a man a gentleman. He would however try to make Charis happy. For both of their sakes. He smiled at her. A touch of sweetness could be seen or perhaps it was more self pleased?
 
She would talk to MoKuba till Seto and her father were done, this brought her attention to the two of them, she saw Seto looking at her and that made her blush slightly and look away, maybe he was really trying, or maybe it was an act ,how was she to know, if it was she would find out eventully, she sat up straight and looked at the waiter as he brought out her food since nobody else ordered anything, she took her panini in her small hand and took a bite chewing slowly and wiping her mouth with her napkin.
 
Seto had ordered a steak but that took a few more minutes to get brought over. He sat next to his wife to be and quietly began cutting and eating his beef. He was grumbling quietly about the girl's father, she had no fault to be betrothed to him, to him however he was actually glad she was actually a pretty girl but he still had no idea of what her intentions were or if she were in league with her father. He would be careful when treating her and for the most part he knew the wedding was hours away so he had this little time to get to know her. He had a plan, with Mokuba's assistance he would sneak away with her for a quick questioning. Nothing rude or forceful he just needed his questions answered.

"Mokuba would you show the guests the installations of Kaiba Corp?"

He said giving him a hand sign and had them all climb on the helicopter except for Charis whom she had climb on his own chopper. As the two took off one with Mokuba and Charis parents and the other with Seto and Charis the one carrying the latter took off in a different direction. To Kaiba's private villa on the beach close to Domino city.
 
She sat in the helicopter and looked out the window at the ground below, she had strapped up and was ready for take off when Seto climbed in, she blinked slightly when they were alone, but with the loud noise of the chopper her didn't mind it much.

She watched as the ground became smaller and her fathers helicopter also was smaller, she smiled slightly and glanced at Seto every now and then but always turned to the window after wards.
 
Upon arrival they were greeted by a few servants Seto trusted and they all bowed as he walked past them he signed for Charis to come sit next to him in a smalll table under an umbrella by the pool.

"I would like to hear your side of the story at this moment that is why I had Mokuba take your parents on a tour telling them we would join them soon. I want to know your opinion about this marriage."

He said as a butler pulled a chair for her to sit on and Seto asked for a couple drinks for the two of them.
 
she blinked slightly and looked at him then the butler , she leaned forward on the table " in all honesty im not to thrilled about this marriage, and im not thrilled that i get to marry someone i don't even know, i mean you could have a sick and twisted mind that likes to torture women and nobody would know because of your status among the gaming world, i like to get to know people before i even consider a relationship of any kind" she watched him for a moment before she continued " my father is forcing me into this, saying it would be better for his business and such if he were to get involved in your company, right now im pretty angry at my father for using me as trade. " she clenched her teeth and got an annoyed look on her face and closed her eyes slowly.
 
When she closed her eyes he got up from his chair and walked up to her he lifted her chin and softly kissed her lips. Just a small warm and sweet kiss for her.

"I guess you might have heard some very unusual things. But I am not one to torture women. And as for me I am or was against the marriage in the first place. But you seem to be much more than I expected. And I know you must be angry at your father. But I dont think all he cares about is his company. If that were the case. Well lets just say you would have never been a part of the deal."

He stepped forward and waited with his back turned to her for a reply.
 
her eyes snaped open when he kissed her, she had to admit it felt nice and what was with the sudden jump in her stomach, she waited for him to pull away before she stood and walked up behind him placing her hand on his back slightly and just stood behind him.

" i guess we will have pleantly of time to get to know one another, and if we don't like each other, well you can say we are married for my fathers business and yours to stay linked if you want, but if it works out then thats good for us"

she really didn't know what to say other than that, she was havin mixed feelings about meeting her future husband only hours ago and she was also taken back by him kissing her un expectingly at least.
 
"Well a love relationship is a two person business. Even I know that. Try not to think of your father and his business. And as for me. I think I might be the one with the most benefits."

Seto turned and smiled at Charis, took her hand and walked her back to the helicopter to meet her father at Kaiba corp where the wedding preparations were being made and of course he had to do a summons to his best man. The only person he truly respected and his fiercest rival. Yugi Mutou.

He picked up the phone and called the Turtle game shop.

"Hello Yugi." He said in the phone and his voice sounded much less threatening than usual.

"Kaiba? If this another of your usual challenges I really cant, I am getting ready for the Duel Monsters Championship in America." Yugi voiced. It had been a long time sine he had left the pharaoh for his eternal rest but he himself had become as strong as his Other self

"Oh no I am actually calling to ask you a personal favor. See. I am getting married today and would like you to be the best man."

Yugi was a bit shocked and yet felt honored. "I... uhhm Okay I guess... Well then I will be there then."

"Good I will have the Kaiba corp seamstresses make you something to wear no offense Yugi but your usual leather and school clothes are not very formal." With that Kaiba hung up and turned at Charis. "I believe we will be married in a few hours."
 
She watched him but didn't want to listen in on his conversation, she turned her head slighly not realizing he still had her hand, she just gazed around the beautiful estate and smiled slightly, then looked at him hen she heard that phone snap shut, she only nodded and climbed into the helicopter and strapped herself in like before getting ready for take off
 
Making another call he told Wheeler to come and tell their friends. After taking off they landed in the Kaiba corp building where most of the preparations where getting underway.

"I believe everything will start when the guests arrive. How would you like to spend that time?"
 
she pursed her lips slightly " i need to make sure everything is ready for me in the brides room....then i have to call my brother if he isn't doing one of his thrill seeking stunts" she shrugged slightly and nodded un harnessing herself and climbing out of the helicopter " he getting to know each other part will have to wait till later im afraid" she said quietly and nodded to him before kissing his cheek hesitantly and then walking away towards the bride room while grabbing her phone out of her clutch hand bag and calling her brother and a few of her girlfriends who litterly screamed when they fond out she was getng married to Kaiba, she rolled her eyes and shoke her head after hanging up and sat down at the vanity and sared to pull down her hair which fell beautifuly in long soft auburn curls, she shoke he head slightly making her hair look thick and full, she sprayed her hair finely and placed a beautiful pin at the side of her head to pull back some of it and got up to look at her dress.
 
Seto was getting ready as well he showered, changed his suit to a much more formal white one with a blue broad tie and small Blue Eyes White Dragons Cuff-links. He looked at himself in the mirror this suit was much more his usual style than the other one and so he had Mokuba and Yugi join him in the room. Yugi seemed to be blushing a bit while Mokuba was energetic as ever. After a few moments of talking and some non official friendly duel the other guests had begun arriving.

Mai Valentine, Tristan Taylor, Tea Gardner, Duke Devlin, Joey Wheeler and his sister Serenity. Even the Ishtars had made it
 
she had her dress on and her friends were back there helping her, she placed the vail ontop of her head and let it fall behind her merging wih her train slightly, it was a simple strapless dress with a white sash wrapping around her sender waist and falling to the side a bit, she pt on her jewlery and fixed her make up in the mirror before she grabbed her flowers and walked out while her friend sprayed her alluring perfume all around her, she joined her father and gave him a nasty look before she placed her hand in his arm and waited patiently, for the cerimony to start, her family had joined the other side filling it up only slightly, The music finally started and the doors opened to reveal her and her father standing there, they walked slowly and she was quite gracful about it, she looked around the outdoor scean and let a small smie creep to her lips as she walked to the waiting Seto.
