Here's the most recent picture of me, taken a few days ago. A couple months into growing out my beard I decided to grow my hair out, as well. I used to have longer hair all the way through adolescence and up until the summer of 2012. Since then I've generally kept my hair pretty short -- even shaved it off a couple times just because. This is the first time in over two years that my bangs have gone down past my eyes.

Here's me back in late August/early September when my beard was still a babby.

And lastly, here's a side-by-side of me from 2013 to almost exactly one year later in 2014.

This is my first beard, so I wasn't exactly sure where it was going. I pretty much decided to grow it on a whim. I started watching Sons of Anarchy back in the first few weeks of growth and when I saw Opie rocking the long hair/beard, I decided that's what I wanted to aspire to. I've never grown my hair out that long, so I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out.

Agreed! He looked like a straight-up lion. My beard is right around Opie's length already -- possibly a little shorter around the chin but fuller on the sides -- so now I just have to sit and wait for my hair to grow to that glorious length. My hair tends to grow pretty fast, which is good, but still, it's gonna be a while. Maybe around 6-7 months, if I'm lucky.

Speaking of 'pretty', though 'terrifying' might be a more apt description -- here's me in drag from way back in Halloween 2010. I actually went trick-or-treating around my neighborhood. It was an...interesting experience, for sure.
