Each step from before hadn't come around that corner. All of the action had been taking place at the front of the Market. Each of the women had been picked up or toyed with at seemingly mininal screening. It was a toss up if the remaining slaves who had been so far from the door, were feeling privileged by their placement or lonely as the customers had barely trekked to the back. A new pair of feet had entered the store. Most wouldn't be able to differentiate the newcomer based only on the sound of his footwear and his confident steps. It wasn't an impossible feat either.
The most obvious difference in these steps had taken place as they traversed to the corner that Leah's cage was near. Instead of pausing there and returning to the front, the steps continued. Each step sounding off as the mysterious being came closer and closer. Lingering just out of Leah's view. And then a final step had brought Vash's deeply regal and fascinating visage into Leah's line of sight. His smile was soft as his eyes scanned other cages. Clearly with an air of importance, he didn't look right to Leah right away. He continued his slow march in front of her cage, crossing to the middle of the bars. He stopped on point and gave the air a soft whiff. Just as soon as the whiff took place, Vash's eyes had snapped too the chained Leah.
With a pause, Vash read her sign with a widening grin. "I'm supposed to be careful?" His eyes returned to her. A pale left hand would slowly creep into the cage. "Let me see. I want to know what's got the others so riled up about a cute woman like you."
