Marley's heart skipped several beats when Sybil took her hand, quickly looking around before pulling the shorter girl in for a soft, chaste kiss. "I don't want you to feel like you have to do anything you're not comfortable with," she said softly as she started leading Sybil towards her car, a black 1976 Mustang with tinted windows. She walked around to open the passenger side door for Sybil, letting her slide in and shutting the door for her before getting in the driver's seat.
"So," she started as she pulled out of her parking spot, "thanks for not, you know... freaking out, or anything." She turned onto a country road and started driving one hand, relaxing a little with the open road ahead of her as her right hand rested on the console between them. "Miranda freaked out about it at first, but not near as bad as... some. She got used to the idea after a while, and of course we'd already been friends for years, so she wasn't gonna let my extra appendage change that. Some people though... They don't take well to mutants."
She grew quiet after that, focusing on the drive.
