His kiss was desperate, lips roaming over hers while his tongue demanded to taste and explore. Dizzy from the excitement, Lucy lost herself in the moment and allowed Nate everything he seemed to be wanting. Her body cried out for him, her emotions raw and ragged and full of fear. But she clung onto him anyway, seizing the moment, the heat that suddenly sparked amidst all the chaos. When Nate pulled away, she stared at him breathlessly. He liked her...possibly loved her?
She'd dreamed of this moment and was terrified it would shatter if she dared to move, to breathe. She licked at her lips, wetting them a little as she studied Nate's face, his expression wild and his eyes damp with unshed tears. Never had Lucy seen Nate this distraught, this on edge...this serious.
"LA?" Lucy whispered. "Los Angeles?" It was a big commitment, a hell of a risk. But Nate was asking her. Not Stephanie Jackson, not anyone else. Of all the girls he could ask, he'd chosen her. She felt her eyes tear up again, her body trembling as he looked at her in a way he never had before. "So," she then said with a shy smile. "Are you making me your problem?"

Corinne just stared at the fliers in her hand, twisting them this way and that. She'd often wondered about Miss Rodriguez. She supposed this confirmed the rumors and answered those questions she and probably just about every student at the school has about the woman.
The crowd was starting to grow as Corinne looked up and Steve's friend, Greg, called out to the guy who seemed to be at the heart of all the commotion. She tried her best to peer around the onlookers, but it was near impossible. Just then, Steve was being dragged off.
Without hesitation, Corinne began to follow. She picked up her pace to keep up with the two, not wanting to get separated as more and more people began to gather around. Worried she might lose them, she reached out for Steve's hand and laced her fingers with his.

Lucy felt her cheeks growing hot. Indeed it was now or never. She'd always planned on taking some time, working at the local Electronics Boutique and then heading off to college. But this... What Nate was asking her was to set aside that plan, to choose him. Could she trust him? She wanted to and oh god her heart already did.
She took one last glance at the school and caught sight of Stevie and Greg and some girl pushing through the crowd. Sucking in a sharp breath, she stood on her tiptoes and gave Nate one more kiss before jumping into his car.
"Looks like you are," Lucy sniffled, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She looked up at Nate as she strapped the buckle over her shoulder and threw her bag down onto the floor. She had no idea what was in store, but she'd face anything with Nathan Essex. And she'd help him get his career started if that was his dream.
