A promise of sanctuary and safety was all that could be seen on the signs approaching Terminus. It became quite obvious that there was indeed no sanctuary here. It had been a couple months since the prison incident that ended up separating the group and when they had come back together it wasn't exactly under happy circumstances. At first it was the ten members of the group together before Rick, Daryl, Carl, and Michonne had just been forced into the container. Rick made it clear to everyone that they were getting out of this alive and getting out soon. These people here at Terminus made their intentions clear of what they wanted to do and every second was urgent. Including everyone in the group there were fourteen people and one other woman that no one had seen before this. They might have a good amount of numbers but what they didn't have was weapons. They had been picked clean and that was definitely not promising.
Among these people was Tara Chambler. This world was really no place for people like her. She was friendly, compassionate, and honest despite her hard exterior. It was really just a facade she put on for purposes of self-preservation. She felt a huge amount of guilt for the attack on the prison even though she wanted no part of it and was totally against the idea. She was just stuck in a bad situation and it was clear that when Rick Grimes entered the car, he recognized her though didn't say anything. She had to make it clear that she was sorry about what happened and she needed to explain herself. She was really a good woman and hoped this group would be accepting of her just as Maggie, Glenn, and the others were.
Presently, she sat all huddled up in the corner. Right beside of her was a woman with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes that reminded her a bit of herself, actually. She was going insane and she was terrified and needed someone to talk to or just to take her mind off what was going on. Besides, she had to admit that she was really cute though now probably wasn't a good time for romancing her. Talking wouldn't hurt though. Turning to the woman slightly she cleared her throat and kept her voice at a whisper. "Hi... I'm Tara. What's your name?" She asked gingerly, giving her a small smile, probably not even visible in the darkness.
Near the middle of the car stood nineteen year old Jack Howell with his long time girlfriend Beth Greene. Jack and Beth had been together for quite some time, really. In fact they have been together nearly half their life span, literally. They grew up together and began "dating" in middle school. Unlike ninety-nine percent of these "relationships" that spring up at this age, this one did not falter or ever end. Nearly a decade later in the apocalypse, Jack and Beth are still just as in love as the first day they admitted it to one another. They had plans about growing up and getting married but it seemed that a massive wrench had been thrown their way. Still, after a few years of dealing with walkers, they remain in tact and in love. Jack will hardly let Beth out of his sight and now he was more protective over her than ever before. He knew what they were faced with.
There wasn't much he could do now so all the young man did was hold Beth tight in his arms. They were always quite an unconventional pair. Jack was the star quarterback of the school even only in his sophomore year. He was tall, muscular, and athletic - looking like a good match for the head cheerleader. However, he did not want to date a cheerleader. He was content with his farm girl and that never changed. As time passed, Jack was on up there with the leaders of the group. Of course Rick was the leader, Daryl was his right hand man and Glenn was probably third in the rankings but Jack was definitely an asset to the group. He was young, strong, fast, and smart. He could shoot well and hunt. The young man was definitely an asset they could not afford to lose. Right now he wasn't thinking about that. He kept quiet and huddled close to the love of his life as they waited, thinking out a plan for what to do. All he knew was that if anyone as so much tried to hurt Beth they would have to kill him dead before he let that happen.
