Elise smiled as she woke up that morning. Today would be her first day serving on the Starship Enterprise. She had recently transferred here from the Farragut becouse the Enterprise was currently understaffed in the medical bay. She was a highly trained nurse and had been on the job for 7 years. She was a women of 29 years of age. She was enjoying working for Star Fleet. it was a much more exciting then any position she had back on earth, though at times, she did miss her family.
She had been born and raised in the states, living on the sunny beaches of California. She had enjoyed life their, especially in summer. She went to the beach everyday when she was a teenager with a bunch of her friends. Life was great back then. She had gone to college and got her self a nursing degree before enlisting in star fleet. It had been the best experience of her life and continued to be today. Though she was enjoying her self, her mother always did fret about her safety. She had always reassured that she would be fine, even though she knew her self there was some danger involved. She always prayed that nothing horrible would happen to her, or anyone else she knew who was in star fleet.
She got up and donned her blue uniform and tied her brown wavy hair back. She leaned forward in the mirror and rubbed out any sleep she had in her bright green eyes. She slipped into her shoes. She made her way to the mess hall where she ate a quick breakfast before walking to the sick bay.
She looked around for the doctor wondering if he was hear yet as they had yet to meet.
