Riley began to kick the snow that had filtered into the house back out of the door. She then had to push quite a bit in order to get it closed. Once it was finally wedged back into the door frame, Riley entered the living. Her eyes focused on the television screen, as she crossed her arms and shook her head. The weather reporter was now informing them, that snow and wind were set to return tonight. Riley just hoped that things wouldn't become dangerous. She glanced over to Courson, their current predicament was now fully sinking in. They were trapped in this house together, nowhere to go, no one else to focus their attention on. Just herself and him... At that moment her cellphone began to ring. Digging into her pocket, Riley scooped it out and answered.
"Dani?" Her friend instantly began asking if Riley had looked outside yet. "I know, our night is pretty much screwed." She hadn't seen Danielle for a while and so had been really looking forward to spending some time with her. "No, there's no way out here either." Taking a step out of the living room, Riley decided to continue her conversation in the kitchen. She attempted to listen to what her friend was talking about, but her mind kept getting distracted. Mainly with thoughts on how she was going to get through being in such close proximity to Courson. She hadn't even been able to make eye contact with him when he came down the stairs. This was going to be a long day.
