Li Xiu's eyes went wide as his fist went through her chest. "What....I..." she gasped, completely taken by surprise. This wasn't supposed to go happen. This couldn't happen. Within instants, she felt a terrible pain. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!" she cried out, her entire body contorting and writhing at the end of his hand. Her very soul trembled with the incredibly powerful force pressed down upon it. Her light battled his dark for her ultimate soul.

Unfortunately for the heroine, she would not be escaping unharmed. In a final desperate attempt, she tried to blink straight back to heaven. Her visible body lunged forwards, the sheer force pulling her flesh taught against her skeleton beneath....but she went nowhere. While small blinks were still possible, she could not abandon her soul in hell. She had been marked...and now, she knew it.

The sounds of wings erupt through the air as Jay slams down into the garden, the ground shaking as his mighty wings lower, his duel long swords in his hands as he looks around. "I sensed an angel, where is it?" He mutters to himself before seemingly realizing where he was, he looks to Cyrus and sheathes his blades before bowing before him, dropping to one knee. "I apologize for my ignorance, your highness, I thought I sensed an angel here, I wanted to know if I was right, I didn't even think before intruding." He says apologetically, he stares down at the ground as if expecting a punishment.

Cyrus was just finishing up as Jay arrived. He knew he had succeeded when Li tried to escape to heaven followed by the surprised look on her face. She was now bound to the hell of lust even if she was still a pure soul. Well after everything that happened she was less pure than she was originally but it was obvious that she didn't belong. She was still angel and as he held onto her soul he knew she had not fallen yet. Her willpower was strong to say the least. He would have to break her mentally before making her succumb to his dark power. He looked upon Li you will never be able to leave the hell of lust as long as I draw breath. You belong to the Lust Empire you now belong to me. Fall from grace and make this easier on yourself otherwise I will be forced to make you fall. Personally I would much rather you choose the latter I will have fun breaking you." A devious grin stretched his face. He didn't necessarily have anything against the Angels and the heaven above. However he didn't like being attacked in his own home without a proper declaration of war. So as a warning he would slowly snuff out her light and let the Angels watch as they lost one of their pawns.

After Jay spoke he gave the fallen angel his due attention. Cyrus didn't know him too well but he had been apart of the Lust Empire before he came to power. He assumed that Jay had some sort of value to still be alive and even more to hold a position of power in the lust army. His eyes ran over the fallen angel briefly as if to size him up. "No need to apologize I expect my warriors to be able to sense danger within our borders and act without hesitation. Even if it means putting your own life at risk. If anything I'm slightly disappointed in the reaction speed but we can work on that. You may rise." He returned his attention to Li.

She looked like she had endured enough pain. "As for you angel. With no way to return home I expect no more problems out of you. I will have fun punishing you if you cause me a headache." Releasing the angel he let her fall to the ground. "Argent you are in charge of her care. Make sure she's fed and she will be staying in your room. How you want to set up your sleeping arrangements beyond that is up to you. I expect no harm to come to her unless she steps out of line. Take her to get washed up." He dismissed the whole situation as if Li wasn't a dangerous soldier. However the scars he left on her soul would at least make her harmless for a while.

He stands and looks over at Li. "It's not bad being forced away from heaven, it's nice down here." He says to her, a wicked grin flashing across his face. "His majesty is a lot more understanding than that bastard you worship as a God." He explains to her, resting a hand on one of his swords before looking back to Cyrus.

"Do you require my services? I personally have nothing to accomplish outside of your castle's walls, your majesty, nothing but to continue slashing through those silly wooden angel-like targets the wretched Imps set up yesterday, those little bastards sure have a sense of humor.." He says, trailing on as if he was going to say something else before stopping himself, realizing his rudeness before it extended any further.

Li Xin gasped and writhed on the end of his arm, still desperately fighting the corruption of Cyrus' devilishly dark influence. She would not give in. Though never going in was perhaps naively optimistic, she certainly didn't plan on making it easy for them. While bound to hell, she was still an Angel. If it came down to freezing hell over and killing all of the inhabitants including her, it would be a service for everyone. At least...every person. As far as she was concerned, there would only be one death if all of hell was destroyed this instant. Everything else was just beasts, better dead than alive.

He finally let go of her, causing her to crumple to the ground, clutching her chest. She sheathed her sword for now, knowing she was in no condition to continue the fight. Her mind closed inwards, trying to battle the shadows within her; ignoring the discussions around her.

The arrival of the fallen angel at least gave things a little bit of spicing up if for no other reason than a dramatic entrance (even after the action was technically over) was always interesting to see. She couldn't say much for his reaction time, the threat was kind of already taken care of, but hey. He at least came faster than all the other guys. Her own guards hadn't shown up, but she hadn't been in danger herself ever so that was probably excuseable. They were more to make sure no one snatched her than to keep her alive. And look. There her king went giving the fallen angel what for about his response time (maybe not what four, at most it was what two, but you know). All was well.

And then.

Upon being told that she was in charge of the care and keeping of the newly falling angel Argent had the look of a girl being told she was being given her own pony. At the instruction that the angel was to stay in her room that look shifted like she'd been told she'd also have to much out the pony's stall. She came as close to arguing with an order as she'd come in several lifetimes before sighing an sulking visibly.

"Yes your highness. Thank you you highness." She looked toward her new room mate. "I'll find my guards and I'll show you my room. *my* room. You're a guest. If you're nice about it I'll give you some blankets and pillows to sleep on. But you have to earn them like I did. It's this way." She turned and would start to lead the angel away if the angel went with her. If not she'd just stare in growing frustration and repeat that her room was that way. Despite however frustrated with a lack of cooperation she seemed she wouldn't give an order even as casual as "follow me". It was against her training.

Cyrus turned to Jay letting Argent handle their new guest. It didn't look like she was going to be causing any immediate trouble but just to be sure. "Hold that thought Jay." He approached the angel and took her sword from her. In an instant it was covered in black flames and disappeared. It wasn't destroyed not even he could destroy a heavenly instrument that easily. It was just sent somewhere safe. A place where it wouldn't be causing anyone any trouble. He hadn't spoken another word to Li refusing to acknowledge her presence for the moment.

Walking back to Jay he spoke. "Actually Lieutenant I did want to speak to you about the soldiers. Why don't we continue discussions in my office." It wasn't really a request but it was the closest thing to politeness he could provide without any real thought. This would also serve as a chance to get to know the second in command of the Lust army. As it stood the Commander seemed to be away taking care of other matters. If she was working he wouldn't bother interrupting her. He started their walk back to his office leaving the garden behind. Slowly the garden started to return to it's peaceful state. The fauna and flora went back to business as usual.

Li Xiu gives Cyrus a hateful glare as he steals her weapon from her. It was more of a symbolic move than anything else. Xiu was just as deadly with her body as she was with a blade, but it was the thought that made the impact. "Fuck you," she spat at him with righteous indignation. It certainly seems like the Angels had no problem using the most vulgar of language.

She then turned towards the stupid creature, beckoning her to follow. "And you...I swear to God...if you so much as touch me..." Li was clearly ticked, and in no mood to put up with the annoying pet. While she had little patience for Argent before, she had absolutely none now. She'd gladly beat her into a pulp within the hour at this rate.

Things were not really off to a great start with her and her new responsibility. For one thing the King had told her to get the angel cleaned up which was theoretically entirely within her powers. If the angel did what most of the beings in the castle did which was understand the occasional gentle suggestion meant she needed them to do one thing or another. But Argent highly doubted this angel would even obey a direct order if Argent was allowed to give one. Argent's gentle and non-obtrusive gesturing for the woman to follow her was getting her nowhere fast.

She glanced back toward where her king had gone with a look of dismay. This was why you put people in charge of looking after a treasure, not the other way around. She looked back to the angel with a significantly less haughty expression and significantly more worry in her face. She'd been given an order. She couldn't delay obeying it. But she couldn't obey it without giving orders and that wasn't allowed either. "Please, we need to go this way." She tried again. If she was lucky her guards would come looking for her now that the king wasn't escorting her but they were under orders to do nothing but make sure no one stole her away. "I won't touch you. It's not allowed. But I am supposed to get you cleaned up. Please. We need to go this way."

Li Xiu slowly got up to her feet, dusting her knees off. She was a good deal taller than the annoying little demon, and wasn't the least bit intimidated by her. "No. I'm not going anywhere. I'm just fine how I am. Like animals like you would know how the least thing about hygiene," she glared. Xiu then turned and started walking away from Argent, causing the pet to grow further and further away from completing the orders her King had given her. "Go and harass someone else. Or chase pollen or something. Leave me."

Any pretense of a friendly or placating smile Argent had been trying to maintain fell away as the angel got up and started to *leave*. "My rooms are not that way." She called, but there was a tiny crack in the friendly ever so polite girlish tone in her voice. There's was a hint of desperation yes, but frustration and a little bit of anger Argent was oh so careful to compartmentalize away usually because anger wasn't allowed either. She was amused or bored or playful but always pleasant and pleasing. She looked around for her guards, not seeing them, she went chasing after her new charge. "My rooms are not this way!" She repeated, less desperate and more frustrated and insistant now. Her tone was dangerously close to sounding like the passive phrase was an order to stop and follow.

Li Xiu trudged along through the garden for a little longer, continually getting more and more frustrated. Every few steps, the annoying little demon would pipe up, reminding her that her rooms weren't the way she was walking. Li Xiu wanted to just leave her behind, but it seemed that there was no use. She finally spun around, bending down to get right into her face. "Good Lord....are you just going to keep following me, saying that? Seriously? I don't know that I've ever been around anything so irritating. How long are you going to repeat that for?"

There were very few tools Argent had access to. She couldn't give orders. She couldn't touch someone without instruction to do so or them touching her first. She wasn't supposed to wander about unguarded. But most people didn't have the authority to give her orders either. Which meant largely her main tool for getting what she wanted was either asking a few choice people politely or just annoying the hell out of someone until they gave it.

She worked with what she had.

It seemed to eventually work out for her as the fallen angel whirled around to look at her and challenge her. Argent was mostly out of the polite patience she'd had before and really this angel wasn't someone she was supposed to be pleasing. She was supposed to be looking after her. That was different. And in her brain that might be a loophole she could sort of use. In any case she was no longer wearing the airheaded smile but a disapproving frown. There was a more frank tone in her voice that was far from the 'yes master' tone she'd had earlier. "The King gave me an order. He never seems to know what to do with me but his predecessor would have my hide and then some if I disobeyed. As long as I'm following you, *trying* I might not be in that much trouble so I will follow you until we go where we need to be, the king gives me a new order, or I die of old age. And I'm a physical manifestation of a soul, not a demon. I don't age. So that'll be a long time. I'm not allowed to give orders but we need to go to my rooms. Can we go or would you like to continue to make life difficult to the only potential ally you have here?"

Jay follows Cyrus to his office, honestly he is concerned about the new leadership in Hell, the last King was atrocious and was killed by his own Guard, he wanted this leadership to last until he can go to heaven and allow more Angels to fall with him, let them see that what they do everyday is wrong.. But at the same time, he is jealous of everything and everyone who has any position above him, but he holds his tongue, seeming to remember his loyalty towards Hell.

When they arrive he crosses his hands behind his back, watching Cyrus. "I am ready to listen to your every word, my lord." He says to him before listening intently to him.

Li Xiu let out a loud groan, rolling her eyes. "You've got to be kidding....you're serious, aren't you? You're just going to keep following me around, anywhere I go? Fucking hell...that's what this place is." Li Xiu wasn't about to murder someone in cold blood just for being annoying, but there was no way she'd be able to find a way out of this mess with the annoying demon following her around every step of the way.

"Okay, okay. Listen. You're not a potential ally. You're an animal - a demon. Besides, you couldn't help me kill your King even if you wanted to. You said that pretty much already. Let's just make this simply. I want to be as far as I can be away from you. What do I have to do to make that happen? If I go with you to your room, will you stop pestering me then?"

"uh. Yeah. This place is hell. I think it said so on a sign somewhere or something." Argent responded. What might have sounded like more of the childish jabber if she'd used her overly polite tone came out sounding almost... sarcastic... without it. It sounded strange to her own ears. She was so used to presenting as what she was expected that dropping the front sounded weird to her. She ignored the side thought for later. She had things she needed to do. And it seemed she had worn down her quarry with annoyances. Hurray!

"If you go to my room and let me get you clean up or show you where to clean up I will have done what the King told me. If you're hungry I will also show you where to get food. But if you do that then I'll stop bothering you. At least until the King tells me to do something again." She turned to lead the way back to her rooms. "And you're wrong. I'm no more a demon than you are. Less, now that the King's marked you. Like I said. I'm the physical manifestation of a pure Soul the old demon king captured. If they made me even a little bit of a demon it would lessen the power they get from having me. My room is this way." She repeated the carefully worded non-order, the fact she wasn't allowed to give orders even to captives maybe another piece of evidence of her status being as she claimed.

Lilith had been taking care of a few demons who seemed to think they were going to try to take the throne from the King. and now was on her way back to the king having decapitated all of them in front of their followers. Lilith had often been underestimated due to her being a Female , But over her years she had proven to many that her sex was not something to be taken for Granted. As she proudly walked into the Castle carrying a Medium sized box she looked to one of the guards and said " Where is the King, I have something for him." her tone almost demanding to see him , her white eyes staring deep into the soldiers own . She had spent most of her life trying to prove she was worth more than the color of her skin and prove that she was worth so more than a simple concubine.

She waited only for a moment before the man finally showed her to the Office . The Guard knocked before opening the door to the Kings office " Uhm ,... Sire...Lady Meurte is here and she says she has something to give you.

"Good lord....you're a pure soul? I'd hate to see an annoying one," Li Xiu said, layered with thick sarcasm. It seemed that Argent wasn't the only one in hell with a sarcastic streak. She reluctantly began to follow behind Argent. She clearly intended to get away from her as quickly as possible, but was willing to jump through some hoops to get to that point.

They retraced Li's steps as they headed back towards the large building, with the Angel of Chastity muttering the entire way. "So....you're supposed to be pretending to be my ally or something, right? Do you know where your King is keeping my blade?" she asked, trying to pry any useful information she could get.

Argent pretended not to hear the comment about the traits of her soul. She'd heard several very good jokes about the status of her physical form. And she'd heard many, many lackluster ones. And more mediocre ones. It was better than cussing her out though or calling her an animal though so she guessed that she would take it as a win that the angel had simply gone to overused territory. At least they were moving in the right direction and this task might eventually get done and she could go have that nap she'd been thinking about.

At the question about the location of the sword she looked back to the angel. "I don't know. He might have stashed it next to your common sense and ability to not be a pain, but he doesn't usually consult me on these matters." They neared the entrance to the garden and two imposing looking guards came out of the bushes and started following them. Argent sighed internally and tried to start sensoring herself again. This new person didn't know what was expected of her but now that her guards were here she had to be all big smiles again.

Just as Li Xiu was about to smack Argent in the back of the head for her insult, two guards come out. The Paragon of Chastity didn't exactly want to be put on anyone else's black list at the moment. She was to have a hard enough time doing her mission without others watching her in particular. Instead, she resorts to flipping her middle finger up behind Argent's back. Sure, it's terribly childish - especially for an Angel of her standing...but it still felt good.

"So....What's with the guards? I assume your King's about as popular down here, as he is upstairs. Seems like he'd be doing everyone a favor just to kill himself." Xiu muttered morbidly as she followed.

Argent appeared to either not be aware of the angel's reactions to her words and not too subtle commentary, or just to not care. Her steps lightened, easing into the happy bounce she'd had in her King's presence before as the guards moved in to flank them several feet behind but in eyeshot and easy reach if something should happen. Argent did her best to seem to pay them no more heed than she paid to the angel's ill will but she was always very aware of their presence or lack there or.

At the question she shrugged. "A Soul is a source of power down here. I'm the king's most prized weapon. Don't they teach you about souls in angel school? Well. You did think I was a demon. So Maybe not I guess. Anyway, they're there to make sure I don't get taken." And, once upon a time, to make sure she behaved. But she couldn't actually remember needing someone for that. It had been a long time. "They're boring though. They never want to play." She led the way down a side hallway and toward a back set of stairs as a question struck her. "Is there an angel school?"

As they entered the office Cyrus casually walked around the desk taking up a seat behind it. He immediately began pulling out military reports and reading them over. Although his head was down hovering over the reports it was clear that he was still giving Jay his full attention. "I'm sure you're aware of our little rebel problem. It seems not every one is happy that I've taken the throne. Normally I would leave the people to their opinions..." He stopped momentarily before folding his hands and placing them on the desk. His piercing silver eyes came up staring right Jay. It was more like he was staring right into the fallen angel's very soul. "However when those opinions turn into violence I'm rather inclined to deal with the problem. I suppose my first question is if you believe any of your soldiers have traitorous intents."

As soon as he finished speaking the arrival the servant caused him to look to the door before gesturing for them to come in. It would be his first time officially meeting the Lady of Death.

He listens to the King before nodding and speaking. "Your majesty, there are a few who share muffled opinions about you, but I don't believe I've seen as violence towards your leadership." He explains, turning his head slightly to see Lady Death strolling in, he continues his explanation, all in all there are no real traitors, but if they were inclined to uprise, then they gladly would do so.

As the commander of the Lust army, Lilith or The Lady of Death ,walked in she bowed to the new king lightly to show the respect he was to be given as King. She looked up to the King and Said " Sire i have brought you a gift to show my Loyalty to the Crown." as she moved to set the box on the table before moving to open it and pull out the decapitated head of one of the men who opposed him " I have brought you the head of your Enemy." She declared as she dropped the head back into the box which she had brought it in.

She looked over for a moment to see her Lieutenant also in the room, after he answered the king she simply nodded towards him and said " Afternoon Lieutenant...I stopped by our camp on the way here and noticed you destroyed our practice targets....Yet Again...You know I am going to have to buy new ones again.."

Cyrus listened carefully to Jay's words mulling over the words in his head. As he looked over the fallen angel he could see no real sign of defiance or mischief. The king wouldn't be watching over his shoulder within the castle walls. However he did stay weary those who pledged loyalty to him from the lowest servant all the way to his advisors. He had no real connections with any of these demons and others. If anything he was guessing their loyalty was to the hell of lust more so than himself. And honestly he was fine with that. He didn't expect to be loved as soon as he sat upon the throne nor did he want to be. He wanted to earn the love of his people, their respect, and even put a tinge of fear in their hearts. They were all qualities he believed a good monarch to have.

It was a different story that he could live up to everything he wanted to be. Even he was flawed and he would not deny it. At times he would do things that went against everything he stood for as long as he believed in it. If it took a thousand mortal souls to keep the hell of lust from falling he would personally extract every single one.

When Lilith spoke and even bowed a little he responded with a nod of recognition. Very few had his respect before earning it. He heard all too well of her feats. The only other white demon in the hell of lust. As she sat the box upon his desk he grinned. "I'm must say I'm impressed that you managed to cut down one head of the hydra that is our enemy. I take it you must have some valuable information on taking down the whole organization. You arrived just in time. I was just about to discuss our next move for squashing titis rebellion."
