It was early afternoon, and one of the busiest times of the day. Around this time, there were people getting out of work and students returning home. The large city was filled with the everyday noises: cars honking, people conversing with each other, and the occasional airplane flying over. Next to a large apartment complex, there was a small alley where a few trash cans were placed. There was also a box turned upside down, and it started to shuffle a bit. The box had finally come off, revealing what seemed to be a young girl. However, there were some obvious features that made her stand out. On top of her head were a pair of large black cat ears, and she had a long cat tail coming from just above her rear. She wore only a dirty white tanktop and a pair of black underwear, which she had actually picked up from somewhere. She let out a little yawn, stretching out much like a cat would. "Ah...it was still so cold."
She had been sleeping outside since last night after a long walk here. She couldn't find anywhere more luxurious to sleep, so she settled for the box. Her stomach let out a loud growl, as she hadn't eaten anything for a while either. That was when a particular scent filled her nostrils. "Ah..! Food!" It was then that she noticed an open window on the balcony above her. she could easily reach it after she climbed up the telephone pole. After climbing up, she carefully adjusted herself before leaping to the balcony, barely catching the handrail and pulling herself up. She stumbled inside, finding the home was a bit messy as well. the scent led her to a small kitchen and to the fridge. she pulled it open, shuffling through everything before pulling out what seemed to be a half-eaten sandwich. She removed the wrap around it and bit into it, purring softly. It was extremely cold, but still tasted good. Her ears perked as she heard something. It sounded like someone was coming up to the room and she made her way to the window, leaping straight down.
