Though Saeko probably desired it in the back of her mind, the gazer would still be sleeping by the time she climbed out of the cave and wouldn't be fit enough to take her for another round of orgasms galore should it awake anyway. There were rumors of even smaller gazers in some other provinces of Japan, though their skill with women was probably nothing to shake a stick at when one compared it to the gazer Saeko spent the night with. Instead, the cave was quiet and would offer the kunoichi no trouble or obstacles. It was a straight and easy climb out of the cave where the rising sun would greet her and kiss the horizon. As sad as it was, the gazer had to be left behind if progress was to be made. But there was a silver lining here: should Saeko return victorious from assassinating Lord Kyung Song, she could always stop back at the mutated gazer's lair and get reaquainted!
The cave entrance was well-hidden between some brush and trees on the edge of another forest, though one that wasn't as congested as the one the saurizards had erected a toll road through. If one wasn't watching where they were going, they were bound to fall right into the cave and to their deaths! Bad news for them, good news for the gazer! The main trade route that ran through the Shogun's castle and Mikawa was nowhere in sight. The gazer had carried Saeko a fair distance, though a good, skilled kunoichi would have a feeling that they were closer to their destination. In all directions there was nothing but the sights and sounds of nature, but it was only in the south that Saeko would see the stream she was vying for.
Bathed in the light of the morning sun and sheltered by overhanging trees and rocks was the crystal blue stream. Most likely there was a pond or spring uphill somewhere, but knowing predators and prey, there was bound to be plenty of activity at a large body of water in the mornings. The stream was calm at that time and was well-suited to receive any and all visitors who wanted a drink or a good bath to awaken their senses. Plus, for some strange reason the water was at a pleasant temperature and invigorated the body and soul for any who stepped into it. Aye, it must be from a spring!
But before Saeko could get ahead of herself and dive into the stream, if she so wished, she might just have to contend with the other bathers that morning. As the blind saurizard from last night mentioned, harpies were common around these parts. A flock of around five or six of the bird-like women had discarded their loincloths and other articles of clothing to take a dip in the refreshing stream. Their ample bodies stood out like a sore thumb as they stretched, leaned over and preened each other and their own wings. For a harpy, there was no such thing as modesty or shame, so whether they had buxom figures or flat chests, they didn't mind if anyone stopped by to ogle their nude forms.
Two harpies would notice Saeko if she chose to come into the stream and gave her a friendly, if not alluring, wave with their wings. Perhaps it was too early in the day to think about terrorizing humans, or perhaps the stream was too nice to bother with being a menace just yet.
"Isn't that the human that gazer took last night?" said one harpy.
"Mhmm... Looks like she's all dirty. Alive, but dirty. I guess all that big eye wanted was someone to fill," the other replied with a sly smile and a lick of her lips. She looked over to Saeko and winked. "Good morning to you, human. You look like you've had lots of fun!"
