Caoimhe was surprised at how easily the large man had stepped aside to let a woman forge something. Where she was from, women were rarely even allowed to enter the blacksmith's, if only to polish new armor or weapons. "Thank you." She bowed slightly to the large man, humbled by his actions.
Raelin rolled her eyes at the girl. "Enough with the pleasantries. Let's begin."
Caoimhe shook her head in exahsperation at Raelin's attitude, but couldn't hide a small smile. She wasn't sure what there was to like aboutthe woman, but for some reason she did want to be her friend. "Alright. You said you had gathered the supplies I would need. Are you going to help me?"
Raelin shrugged. "I don't think I could. I've neer forged a weapon before. I've never forged anything. But you are a blacksmith's daughter. You were born to it, the proof is in that sword you made."
Caoimhe didn't comment that the sword was shoddy work, caught off guard by Raelin's accidental compliment. "I suppose I'm ready to begin, then."
Sai-lyn nodded, opening the door to his room and waving him inside. "The wooden tub that would be brought to your room is rather small, so if you don't value modesty I would suggest using the bath house. It is just behind the inn. I can take you there myself, if you'd like."
