Party Hearty (Jamie and Darkness)

Vixey gazed at her companion in amusement as he spoke, her fingers running slowly over the rim of her glass before she took a drink. "It sounds like you're a very well rounded person." she commented. "You do a little of everything." She smiled up at him before thinking of another question. "Hmm, how about siblings?" she asked. "Is there any brothers or sisters in your family?" She finished her soda and placed her glass down before she leaned back in her seat again, folding her hands over her stomach while shaking her hair back over her shoulders, her ears swiveling around to point towards him slightly to show that he had her complete attention.

Seff shrugged a bit. "I wouldn't say that, exactly. Not very interested in computers, sports, video games and that kind of thin," he said, eying his glass for a moment, wondering if he should get a refill, before his eyes were fully back on hers. "And no. But my cousin Roald is like a brother to me. What about you? Any brothers or sisters?" he asked, idly drumming the table with one finger.

"I'm talking about things that actually matter Seff." she said with a small smile. "You're into literature, music, different cultures since you like martial arts. In my opinion, that makes you a pretty well rounded guy. After all, anyone can do video games and sports and computers." She crossed her legs and folded her hands in her lap while gazing up at him with a small smile. Some how it didn't surprise her to hear that he was an only child and when he asked her if she had any siblings, she shook her head. "No. I'm an only child as well." she replied before looking around the diner then back at him with a curious smile. "Do you want to go?" she asked randomly.

Seff offered her a small smile in turn. "Anyone can also do books, music, or martial arts," he pointed out, with a soft laugh. "For instance, you'd be amazed at how many people at my school think they're masters of martial arts because they've seen a few UFC fights," he said. The UFC. It was clear by the way he said it that the UFC was one of his few true dislikes. "And sure," he said, digging into his back pocket for his wallet. He pulled out a twenty and approached the counter. Moments later, with their meal paid for, he made his way back over to Vixey. "Shall we?"

Vixey pouted slightly with a huff. "Seff, I'm talking about real martial arts. Not that... that... crap that is shown on TV. The Ultimate Fighting Championship is just a bunch of guys that like to beat each other up. Martial arts is about so much more." she replied before watching him get up and pay for their food. After he returned, she nodded and stood up, brushing herself off out of habit then anything else before turning to him with a small smile. "Yes, we shall." she said with another nod, her tail flicking behind her as she gazed up at him.

"Well, of course there's a difference. UFC is just about hitting each other. Martial arts is all about learning the rich and cultured background and traditions that go along with beating one another into bloody pulps," he said, obviously teasing her. "But I do get what you're saying, and I agree. The crap on TV is nothing like real martial arts," he said, as he made his way toward the door, holding it open as always, and the moment she was through, he made his way to the car, again, opening her door.

The girl glared at him as he teased her about their conversation before following him to the door, silently stepping outside. She looked up at the sky and took a deep breath while a gentle breeze picked up and caused her hair to flutter around her face a little before she walked towards his car. She smiled up at the taller fox and thanked him when he opened her door for her and she slid into her seat, pulling the seat belt down around her and clicking it into pace. She flipped down the visor and looked at her slightly messy curly hair in the mirror, fidgeting with it for a moment then she flipped the visor back up and waited for him to get into the car.

Seff merely offered Vixey a small smile, his hand almost absently brushing along her arm before the door was closed, and he made his way aroudn to his side of the car. He slipped into his seat, and the engine came to life with a touch of his thumb. Buckled in and with the door shut, Seff put the car in reverse, drove out of the space, and once in drive, he set off down the road. It wasn't a terribly long drive toward Vixey's house, and trusting that she didn't quite know the route yet, he took a slightly longer one. "Will you be needing a ride later? I don't know how long it would take you to get your car out," he said, not quite sure how long it took the paperwork to go through.

Vixey had felt his hand brush her arm, but this time she didn't jerk away like she normally did. As he moved around to his side of the car, she lightly touched her arm before looking over at him as he slipped into his side and started the car. She watched the scenery pass by as he drove, though her gaze kept drifting back to him over and over no matter how much she tried to keep her gaze focused on things outside of the car. When he asked if she would need a ride later, she nodded. "Yeah, I think so." she said. "I've to talk to my dad about getting my car out though." She can already imagine how she was going to explain this one, but her father wouldn't really badger for much of an explanation since she was a good girl.

Seff glanced over to her, and he chewed on his lower lip. "Alright," he said, holding the wheel steady as he pulled out a small notepad which he tended to keep on him. He put it against the center of the wheel, writing out his number carefully, turning onto her street at the same time. He ripped the page out, and passed it over to Vixey. "The Park Cab Service," he said with a soft laugh.

Moments after he passed the number over to her, they arrived at the curb outside of her house, and Seff turned up onto the driveway, approaching the house at a crawl.

Vixey watched him pull out a notepad and begin writing on it, looking out at the road in concern but found that her worry wasn't necessary because he was rather careful with his driving. She looked down at the paper when he held it out to her before smiling at him and taking it from him with a gentle chuckle at his words. "Yeah." she murmured before folding the paper and slipping it into her pocket with her hairtie.

Upon arriving at her house, she sighed softly and looked up at it before smiling over at him. "I... I know you said I don't have to, but I really want to thank you for everything you've done for me." she said softly. "If it hadn't of been for you.... I-I don't even want to think about what could of happened. It really does mean a lot to me."

Seff put the car in park, letting it idle as he glanced over to her. "You don't have to worry about it, Vixey. I'm just sad that I didn't get down there before I actually did, you know? Anyway.. I'll talk to you later. Give me a call whenever you need me," he said, digging out his cell phone, a slim, blue device, holding it up as demonstration, a small smile lingering on his face.

Vixey nodded with a small smile of understanding before she chuckled when he pulled out his cell phone. Reaching over, she took the notepad and wrote down her house and cell number. "Just in case." she said while handing the notepad back to him. She reached down and gathered her bookbag into her lap and looked back up at him. "I'll talk to you later Seff." she said before leaning over and kissing him on the cheek. With one last smile, she opened her car door and got out, closing it behind her.

Turning, she walked up the small path to the front door and waved back at him before opening the door and stepping inside, closing the door behind her.

Seff offered Vixey a small smile as she passed the note and pad back over to him, pocketing both. "Thanks," he said, looking a bit surprised when she leaned over toward him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. And with her back turned, his hand drifted upward to the fur of his cheek, rubbing against it for a moment, before his hand dropped. He offered her a wave, and began to back out of the driveway. He pulled out his cell phone, and he was already adding her to his contacts.

And as he drove away, he wondered at how he could have met such a beautiful woman.

Later that day, there was a knock at Seffs front door. There was a georgeous snow leopard standing on his front step wearing a rather revealing cheerleader outfit and her platinum blonde hair was pulled up into a high pony tail. The snow leopard was thin and curvy, but most of her good looks were made by a doctor. The leopards name was Tylie and she was his now ex-girlfriend.

After Seff had returned home around noon, he put up the satchel he carried behind his seat at all times, set his phone up on the charger, pulled his music out, and lounged on his bed for the next few hours, listening to jazz and dreaming of a certain fox. At around seven, though, there was a knock on his door, followed by a door bell moments later, the latter of which finally drawing the familial butler to the door. Moments later, Tylie was brought back to Seff's room; all things considered, it wasn't huge, especially given his wealth. Desk, bed, bookshelf, T.V., etc., though it did have an unusual addition; a wide ring, with an assortment of weapons and the like on the wall. He took his fighting seriously.

And there Seff was, sprawled out on his bed, idly bobbing his head to the music, yet unaware that his ex, who the butler still knew as his girlfriend, stood at his doorway, already replaced in his thoughts by a much more interesting girl with curly red hair.

Tylie smiled up at the butler when he opened the door. She greeted the man before entering the house and making her way up to Seffs bedroom. For a little while she stood there and watched him for a couple of minutes before silently entering the bedroom, having removed her shoes after entering the house. While she hated the thought of leaving her shoes somewhere else in the house, she did it in respect of Seff's family.

She slowly approached the bed where he was laying and tilted her head while watching him, her bangs falling in her face as she gazed down at him. She bit back a sigh and put on a small smile before reaching out and tapping him on the nose like she usually did when she was greeting him.

Seff didn't even budge on Tylie's approach to him, though he did stiffen a bit when he felt someone tap him on the nose. Oh no.. Only one person greeted him like that, and he took his time in letting his song finish before the flow of music stopped with the pause button. Seff's eyes opened. "Hey, Tylie. I don't really recall talking to you about this, but after your escapades in the pool house you realize you're my ex now, right?" Seff asked curiously, pushing himself to a sitting position.

When Seff didn't respond right away, Tylie sighed and crossed her arms over her chest until he finally pressed the pause button and she lowered her hands while putting an innocent look on her face. But when he spoke, the look dropped and she rolled her eyes. "Oh.. Come on Seff." she said softly. "You know I've had a couple of drinks and when I do I can't control my self." She pouted slightly and looked down at him as she stood there infront of him.

"Drinking and then cheating doesn't sound like the material for absolution to me. What'd you come by for?" e asked, pushing himself back against the backboard, his arms crossing over his stomach. He wasn't really in the mood to talk to her; besides, it wasn't as if he'd ever really had much of an emotional connection to the girl. They were together largely because Tylie was never without a boyfriend, and Seff just felt like playing along for a while. Sure, they talked from time to time, but they weren't what one could call compatible.

Tylie stared at him after he spoke. She didn't even know what absolution meant, but then again, Tylie didn't really have a very large vocabulary since she wasn't much of a reader unless it came to fashion magazines. "Well.. I came to ask your forgiveness. I made a mistake and I'm sorry. Can't you give me a second chance?" she said softly. If he knew some of the things she did behind his back, he would just have her thrown out of the house, but she was good at keeping things hush-hush. She was about to go on when the sound of his cell phone went off and she paused to look over at the charger where his phone sat.

Seff offered Tylie a rather cool look. "Oh, I probably can, but I wouldn't, thus I shan't," he said, moments before the phone started to hum out a jazz song. He offered her a small, sunny smile, before he scooted over to his table, and unhooked his phone. Taking only a moment to check the number, a delighted smile coming to his face when he realized who it was, before he flipped open his phone. "Hello?" he asked, somewhat glad the phone rang when it did.

Tylie sighed again and pouted. "Oh come on Seff. Please?" she mewled as he moved over to his phone. When he answered it, she could hear the female voice on the other end speaking. 'Hey, Seff.' the voice said. 'I was... well, I was wondering if you could give me a lift to work. I mean, if you're not busy and all. I can always ask my dad to pick me up.' The tone of Vixeys voice would let him know that she was still shy about asking things of people. Tylie was obviously dis-pleased to hear the female on the other end and it showed on her face as she stared at him with a slight glare.

Seff studiously ignored Tylie, tapping his knee quietly as he listened to Vixey on the other end of the phone. "It's not a problem. I'll be over there in a few minutes. See you then, Vixey," he said, tucking his phone into his pocket. "Sorry about this, but I actually have something important to do right now," he said, stripping his shirt off as he made his way to the closet, revealing a body that even Zaid would have killed for, replacing it with a more comfortable shirt, white striped with black, which more or less seemed to be the fox's general appearance, "so Withers'll see you out. Won't you?" he called out to the butler who had studiously waited out in the hallway. "Of course, sir," came Withers' reply, and Seff was still buttoning up his shirt as he passed Tylie, jogging out to his car so that he could head over to Vixey's house, leaving Tylie in the dust.

Tylie listened to him speak on the phone before staring at him in disbelief as he tucked his phone into his pocket. As he pulled off his shirt, she bit back a groan and watched as he pulled on another shirt. She felt a pang of regret as she listened to him tell her that his butler would see her out and she glared at him as he left the room. Curling her hands into fists, she rushed out of the room and downstairs where she grabbed her shoes and left, not bothering to wait for Withers to let her out. She needed a drink and a little stress reliever and she knew that there was another party going on so she headed there.

At her house, Vixey hung up her house phone and finished getting ready for work. She worked part time as a barista at a popular coffee shop in town and then after she worked there she would go down the road to another restaurant to work as a waitress on roller skates. She was wearing her uniform for the coffee shop and her hair was pulled up once more. Her uniform was a brown knee length skirt and a shirt with the coffee shops logo on the back.
