Tony grinned wider at the squeak."he is indeed very cute."Tony smiled before it faded looking worried, scared to know but needing to. Nodding slowly he swallowed thickly."yes I would like to."
 
Steve nodded. "if i can do nothing else, i will make sure he lives" he promised Thor. because if Steve couldn't make it, then Loki would protect and help Tony no matter what. "very adorable." Steve agreed with a grin before rubbing Tony's back a little. "i don't think you'll like it... but i think i need to tell you." he admitted softly. "do you want to know now or wait until Pepper's family is gone?"
 
Tony sighed closing his eyes as he relaxed into the touch, for the moment not even considering how weird that it was a ghost touching him. Swallowing hard he looked down at the Baby in his lap, thinking."okay...if you need fo...and after they leave. I won't ruin our visit with them When I don't get to see them often."
 
Steve smiled a little. "they are a lot of great people." he admitted. "i can't believe how successful all of these people are. Writers and FBI agents and a Model and a dress designer for that model...." he muttered. "and now Pepper's a CEO, poor Jason is the only one without a job." but Jason only didn't have a job because he couldn't dance anymore. professional Ballerino, he'd broken both ankles and a knee and now couldn't dance professionally anymore. he could still turn a brisé or a Pirouette from time to time but most says he ached to much to do such fancy maneuvers. he preferred to stay at home and take care of the kids. "those kids though! in thirty years they're going to have control of the world! one of them, at the least, is going to be president!" only made sense with how successful most of their parents where.
 
"They are. It's insane. I was serious to about making them ll a army. It's insane how good they can do stuff."Tony snickered before smiling."he used to be a ballerino. Broken bones ended his career early and he prefers staying home with the kids."tony shrugged before laughing out loud."no doubt. Though I'm sure one will end up in control of shield to. It'll be fun watching then take over the world."he snickered.
 
Steve chuckled a little. "like, with a Tutu and everything?" Steve asked, looking startled before he started giggling at the idea of such a big man being stuffed into a tights. Ballerino had to be very strong, since more oft than not, they had to lift a ballerina, a lot. "that's kind of sad though, someone so skilled having to stop." he admitted. "sorry Tony, but i'm pretty sure Steven is going to be the next Captain America. Frigga practically said so." he teased with a grin.
 
"Well he didn't wear a tutu but yes lime that."toNY snickered a little at the idea of the man in a tutu."actually I've seen you fight cap,you wouldn't be bad as a dancer either. And definitely strong enough to be lifting some of the girls in dancing."Tony teased a little."hmph. That's true."he said making a face.

The next day tony sighed tiredLy when he realized it was time to sY goodbye to his family,helping pepper and the others get the kids rounded up and make sure they didn't forget anything, giving a small tired smIle as they left. Even if he knew he wanted to know what was up with ghost steve, he also had a feeling it was going to be something he didn't want to know to.
 
Steve snorted. "he still had to wear the Tights." he admitted with a smirk before tilting his head. "well, not Balet. you have to start really young for that." he admitted. "but i could learn how to tango maybe." he agreed. "or maybe the Salsa. something fun and fast paced." he agreed with a grin.

Steve smiled as he watched the hoard leaving to go back, whence they came. "so. that was awesome." Steve admitted, sounding exhausted. James just groaned and dragged himself back into bed. Pepper looked perfectly fine. she'd grown up with that rambunctious group. "well. i'm back to work." Pepper decided with a sigh. "well. don't you want to know why i'm really here?" "to save tony. that's all i really care about." Pepper admitted, smiling at Steve. "Tony will fill me in later." she promised. "i need to keep people from fussing when they realize Tony isn't working."
 
"It was indeed awesomd."toNY said before waving a hand at the tablet he was holding."I am to working! Can you not see this? I'm doing paperwork."he whined smiling though as he leaned in to kiss his wife before letting her go. Looking at steve tiredly."well talk in the lab."he decided wanting to be somewhere tht was his,protected and safe before he heard the news he probably wouldn't like."okay. Tell me."he said as he settled onto one of the benches.
 
Pepper chuckled a little. "your playing Scrabble." she teased, kissing him back. "alright." Steve agreed, following Tony down to the lab. he sighed, hesitated, trying to decide where to start. "about two weeks after i first moved in, three weeks before Christmas... Loki came ad got me, he told me he needed to talk to me and took me into a side room. he asked me if i could remember how he could sometimes see into the future, and told me that this was the oly scenario where things didn't end up as hell on earth. his exact words where "You have to succeed....to save everything.to stop the world from burning. To stop the future from becoming death and blood and regret... i didn't understand what he meant. i do now." Steve admitted, staring at Tony. "Loki sent me forward into he future. so i can change everything, so i can make sure Sharon doesn't turn me against you, to make sure you don't have to face this alone, so that i can stop everything." he admitted, staring at Tony. "that's why Frigga blessed Steven, so that he would exist even when i go back to my own time." he admitted, glancing at Tony to see his reaction.
 
"I am not!"tonywhined making a face. Settling in to listen to steve as he talked, pale and quiet as he listened, swooping thickly as he looked up at her "it is good he will exist...but...will i?if you change things...if things change...I dont...steve things could get worse!"tony said looking shaken and scared at the idea. "Steve even without sharon you were determined to not accepted us. I dont...I don't think this will change things..."toNY said scared of what things would come, and even if he wanted to see things be glokay, it scared him to considered that this had been loki's only gamble to save everything.
 
Steve shook his head. "things will change Tony." he promised the other, turning to look at him properly. "things will change because i won't abandon you. we might not be a couple in the future, but we're not a couple now. and i'm... i'm starting to accept the way i am. it's hard. i still ate myself but i'm coming to terms with it and knowing you, you'll blast any last nerves i have into ashes." he admitted with a smile. "and even if it's worse, we'll at least be able to rely on each other." he promised. "it's going to be okay Tony. even if i have to play dirty." he promised, slamming his fist into his palm. "first thing i'm gonna do is expose that fucker Osborn as the Green Goblin." he admitted. "and i'll make sure that fucking president never gets into office even if i have to run myself!" he growled before smiling at Tony. "we'll be good. even if we're not lovers, we'll always be friends, okay?"
 
Tony looked up at the man,for once looking on the verge of tears. Because the loss of steve, had broken him in a way that had never really recovered from. "..you will...I know. Even...even my steve, hadn't come to see him...he simply....left me with a baby and a will. This isn't helpful steve."Tony muttered sounding so scared of changing things. "You have to know even then I was horrible at doing things. At being a couple...or a friend. Steve if it's not this,it would have just been something else."tony said knowing he'd be left because he was always left. Hanging his head a little he nodded,simply giving in to the other because he knew he would just keep arguing if he didnt."okay..."
 
he smiled at the other. "Tony. i didn't make you any promises i this timeline. i'm making them now. i will never. ever abandon you, ever." he promised. "and i've never broken a promise have i?" he asked Tony. "besides, your not nearly as bad at being a good person as you think you are." he admitted. "after all, Pepper still lives you, Phil's still your friend, Clint rather adores you, all of Pepper's family just gave you kisses..." indeed they had, ever single brother, sister and child had kissed Tony's forehead or cheek. though Jason got Feisty and gave him a smacking kiss on the lips. "i won't leave you alone again Tony. not even in this time. turns out that as long as your alive here, i'll be with you." he promised with a smile. "so you don't have to worry about me leaving you." he promised. "i'm here to stay."
 
"...okay. no you havent."Tony muttered swallowing hard as he looked up at the other man. Nervous but wanting to believe "..Pepper's brainwashed after spending so many years with me...but...yes. the other's like me..."tony muttered not understanding why they did, but knowing he was loved by people who understood he'd fried his best."..."tony frowned a little as he considered that before sighing."good. I don't want to be alone... but for some reason that doesn't make it sound like I'm going to make it long...which means whatever Osborne's got planned is going to get me killed..."
 
he smiled a little but laughed when Tony commented about Pepper being brainwashed. "so, what, if i look at her and say something like 'nutmeg' she's going to wake up and just start screaming?" he asked, amused. "i don't think so Tony. Mythbusters busted the brainwashing Myth. at least using technology you'd be willing to use." he admitted. "....i'm sorry Tony." Steve admitted softly. "but i think your going to die soon." he agreed. "i don't know when, but i think you have a month, maybe two." he admitted. "you should probably make preparations."
 
"She might. Shes allergic to nutmeg."well. Nearly. He'd rememebe red it was a food she was allergic to...though it was strawberries.""I'd be totally be willing to use lots of tech. You'd be surprised."tony muttered before swallowing thickly glancing at him."you promise...to change this?to try?then dying now...really isn't the end."Tony said though he still looked shaken by the idea swallowing thickly before nodding."I'll make preperations."he said though he didn't move still she'll shocked and thicking.
 
he blinked a little. "i thought she was allergic to Strawberries?" he asked, surprised before snorting. "Tony. nutmeg isn't anywhere near Strawberries they're not even the same color." Nutmeg was tan after all. "Tony? even you wouldn't willingly make Pepper scream in agony fr minutes on end just to marry you. hell Doom isn't eve that evil." he pointed out. "....i haven't decided how evil Goblin is." he admitted with a grin before smiling at Tony. "i swear it. on my shield. on my Honor, on my name as Captain America and my life as a kid from Brooklyn. i will change this. i will make everything good, and right, no matter what." he promised. simply standing there with Tony, hand on the others shoulder. silent comfort wile Tony absorbed all that information.
 
"....yes yes she is."tony said he was going to totally pretend he knew that.he'd at least remembered she was allergic to soemthing."...being married to me is torture enough."tony pointed out."good. Cause I can't do this again."tony said looking up at him before leaning into him, oddly snuggling the ghost,but it'd been to long and he'd missed his steve. It was hard to see steve like this,the one he'd always been attracted to and be absolutely not able to do anything about it.
 
Steve chuckled a little and shook his head a little. "being married to you would be most girls dreams come true." he pointed out. "Tony. i don't think i could either." he admitted softly. he didn't think he could watch Tony suffer so much all over again. he just couldn't. he leaned into Tony snuggling the man right back. "Tony? what did i do when you first started seducing me? Thor said it went badly..." he admitted. "the more i know. the more i can be assured of what i'm doing." he admitted softly. he hoped Tony would just start talking, but it was Tony, who knew what would happen.
 
"Meh. That's cause they don't really know me. I'm a nightmare as a husband. Ask pepper. I'm fairly horrible at it you know. Forgetting anniversaries, allergies,meetings...."he shrugged a little."good. We'll be okay."tony sighed softly before tensing swallowing thickly as he pulled away tense and anxious as he turned away."it did."he said bolting for the apartment in the lab having every intention of locking the man out of the room.
 
Steve rolled his eyes. "anyone who marries you would already know how bad you are with dates Tony." he pointed out. "Pepper married you because she loves you." maybe ot as much as Tony deserved, but she did love him. "we will be okay." he promised softly. "Tony." Steve whispered, following him. "you can't lock me out of the lab i can walk through walls. if you don't want to talk about it, tell me, don't just run away." he pleaded. "i need to know Tony. i need to know how i went wrong so i can make sure i can never ever do it again!" how could he know that Steve had informed Tony he was a sinner and going to rot in hell for liking the same gender? how he'd told Tony he was cursed, possessed by the Devil and told Tony that it was a sickness and he wasn't going to enable Tony that way. he'd gotten better, but he had never really settled into being okay with being gay. he'd always just sort of pretended the people around him weren't like that.
 
"..."tony glared at the wall as the other man walked through the wall settled onto the bed back in the corner by the wall,definitely hiding as he stared down."...we were looking for james. Those months weren't easy,you know? Both of us strunk tight....way to wound up. Definitely not a good time to realize you were as attracted to me as you were to me...at least I'd thought you were..."tony shuddered curling up,hugging his knees,looking so much like a hurt child you wanted to hug him."We...I forget what we did...but we found one of his hide outs...surprised him badly enough he ended up hurting us both before he got away...I was scared cap....scared of losing you to this hunt so I uh...tried seducing you in that stupid little motel csuse sex has always been my way of feeling better and that motel that really just needed burned down it was that low star and...I uh...you..."he shuddered and you just knew cap had confirmed every bad thought he'd ever had about himself."...that I was a sinner and going to hell for liking guys, and I was cursed,possessed by the devil and that it was a sickness to be that way and you woulsnt enable my habits,or allow me to do that to myself anymore..."
 
he blinked a little but otherwise didn't react at all to the glare. he remained silent through the explanation, shuddering a little. "i'm sure i was attracted to you. i wouldn't have had such a negative reaction otherwise." he admitted softly, moving over to the other and sitting down, wrapping his arm around the others shoulder, holding him because he had to. "i can't blame you at all for being scared. i'm a bit single minded when it comes to Bucky." he admitted with a grimace. "...god Tony i'm sorry." he whispered. "i'm SO sorry i said those things to you. they aren't true, not even a little i swear it." any last doubts he had about being gay himself had just gone up in smoke. how could Tony, sweet, hurting Tony ever be any of those things. "i'm sure i only said those things because they where what i was thinking of myself. your not a sinner Tony. your not going to hell. your not sick." he promised, staring at the other, crying because he was so upset he could be so cruel. "i am SO sorry...."
 
"Yea...I know...still didn't help when I tried stopping your wedding later..."tony muttered shuddering his face pressed against his knees."you were. Even after we got him back you two were inseparable. Sorta sucked suddenly being regulated to a bystanders position in your life cap..."he muttered. Flinching g a little he swallowed thickly. "...yes they are and we both know it. You just told me what I'd already knwon."tony muttered sounding so sure about it you knew steve hadn't been the only one to sY something along those lines. It was indeed a good thing he'd never told pepper exactly what steve had said, otherwise she'd have killed steve long before sharon had. Shuddering as the other held him shifting to lean into him as he cried. Because they only other person Besides pepper he'd cried to about this had been steve...and when he'd tried, crying broken begging in the middle of a war he was leaving all he'd gotten was slapped down again. It'd had broken him
