Pietro's sudden appearance was rather, well, sudden. "A mission?" Seemed pretty odd too. Did they just have random missions just waiting to be done, and just decided, "Hey, let's save it for newbies!". Alexander thought it very unlikely, but nevertheless, Pietro was giving them an assignment that they wouldn't be able to back out of. So, with a light nod, Alexander leaned against the wall and listened to the man as he would begin to brief them. For a moment, he eyed Abigail on the couch, seeing her sleeping form. Last night, he recalled passing by the living room several times and finding her asleep. Especially when he managed to pry himself off Hanna to avoid her from dragging him into her room. But she really was pushing herself with whatever she was doing. Alexander thought it to be just studying. She must have really wanted to work hard in Accel. And her grades showed for it. She was definitely becoming an amazing student, no doubt about it. Alexander? Well...
"Let's wake up Abigail." Alexander flinched lightly upon hearing Pietro use her full name. He still referred to him as "Leander" and to Hanna as "Riley". It made him a bit annoyed, but once Abigail was awake and Hanna walked in, Pietro continued. "Good morning to you too, Riley. Everyone, as I've told Alexander, you will be undergoing a mission this morning that will extend into the afternoon more than likely. I will give you as much information as I can, but to be frank, we're not too informed about the current predicament." Looking among the three, it was lucky that the issue wasn't dire. Still, it was there, and it gnawed at him. "We appear to have a minor demon infestation just outside of an Accel outpost further out. We typically have these outposts set up in the event that missions take too long, and students find themselves in need of a place to rest for the night. Now, the infestation isn't large, and it would appear that the outpost would make due until upperclassmen arrived, however I'd like you three to take a look into it. Perhaps test out your new abilities and become more familiar with them. Gather any intel as well about these intruders that might seem useful."
"Anything more you can tell us? What kind of demons are we dealing with?" Alexander asked curiously, stretching out his shoulders.
"Nothing detailed, unfortunately." Pietro replied as he sighed. "However, their energy signatures don't really shock us. I assume more so that the problem isn't with how powerful they may be, but rather how many there are. It's a manageable number of them now, so I'd like us to take a more proactive approach." He looked over to Abigail. "You three are a team, a squad. But like any squad, there needs to be a designated leader. That is why I'm electing Abigail Hunter as your Squad Captain."
Alexander's eyes nearly popped out of his head as his jaw hit the ground. Recovering from the momentary shock, he pointed to her in aggravation. "Why in the hell does she get to be Squad Captain?! This is bull shit! I don't agree one bit!" Alexander stared heatedly at Abigail before he looked off to the side, nose in the air and far from accepting the decision. "I demand a revote."
Pietro gave a cold, icy stare towards Alexander. "This isn't up for discussion and debate. Abigail will be your Captain, and that's final." He then returned his focus to Abigail, approaching her. "Abigail, you have tactical command of Hannabelle Riley and Alexander Leander, a shape shifter and a Berserker. Not only do you need to be aware of your own skills, but need to know their's as well in order to make sound decisions. In addition to the usual Acceleration observation, I will be grading you on leadership and decision making. Artemis will be your field proctor." He explained. From there, he reached into his coat and provided Abigail an ear piece. "This will link you directly to our communication channels here. Relay intel to us directly or if the situation grows dire, request support as needed."
With a quick nod to Artemis, the head student began to leave the apartment, leaving the proctor with the trio. "Artemis will guide you the rest of the way. Be dressed and ready to go in half an hour. If you take too much time, the end report for you three will not bode well." Pietro said ominously before letting himself out, leaving the three of them to their quick morning routine before having to leave soon. Alexander, however, still glared at the Mage made Captain, grumbling to himself. If she expected him to follow orders from her, hell, she had another thing coming!
