The final march of Jakabol (Wrathsputin & Kuziya)

Alexio grinned when he saw the barbarians retreating. "Take cover men!" he screamed. Running a man grabbed his arm. "Alex are you ok?" the man's face became concerned. Only one man could call him Alex. Everyone addressed him as sir or Alexio. This man Alexio loved. He pulled the man with him gently wiping blood off his shoulder.
"Well I can't say i'm fine, but i'm here! Come on!" he ran pulling the man with him. All around corpses of his men were scattered here and there. Most of them and there squads were fine. They dived into their safe leaving that one barbarian out there. Alexio didn't see her for one and if he had I don't know what he would have done. His anger was his dominate emotion so he probably would have left her.

Loat was still unconscious as the dragon attacked over head, leaving most of the city in burning rubble. Between the fog and the smoke, it was near impossible to see. The dragon didn't leave until dawn, but the damage was done. Bodies were everywhere and plenty of fires still burned. Loat had awoken with the dawn and was trying to crawl out of West Deum.

Alexio saw the fires burning. "Our city" he groaned. "I've let it fall!" suddenly a hand jerked and turned his head. The soldiers behind him were glaring.
"No you haven't!" the general said glaring. Alexio tried to away from his lover's hand but he couldn't. They were angry and shaking their heads. "If you said you did all those men out there would have died for nothing.!" Alexio looked down at the floor then.

Loat made it out of the city and into the woodlands, her entire being wrought with pain as she forced her body to move. Koth and the rest of the surviving barbarians hid in caves just past the woodlands, re-grouping and mourning their dead and lost. They were all concerned about the dragon, why did it come? Where was it now?

Alexio finally sighed. "Look what was that dragon? It wasn't ours!" the men ehind him shook their heads. "Must be theirs!" he said.
"I don't think so even they retreated!" one of the generals said shaking his head. Alexio frowned deeply. Thoughts raced through his head but why was that dragon sent?
