Everything was warm and soft and perfect. And then she felt lips pressed against her own and that warmth and perfection was replaced with the reality of her very handsome captain's upper body pressed against hers. She smiled softly as her blue eyes fluttered open to let in the morning light and the face of her savior and possible lover. "Good morning," she said softly. When she noticed that he was actually dressed already, she felt a little behind, and just a tiny bit disappointed that she couldn't entice him to just stay there with her a little longer.
"Ready for an adventure already? And here I am still asleep," she said with an easy chuckle. Sitting up she yawned and ran her fingers through soft brown hair, letting it fall naturally. "I suppose I should go get ready to help sell. Thank you for letting me stay with you, Mike." She smiled again and then slipped out of his bed, into her robe, and out of his room. It seemed as though several men were already headed toward the captain's chamber and all of them had seen her come out.
Rather than blush, she merely smiled and waved a good morning, figuring they'd seen everything. And besides, she didn't think trying to explain herself now would convince them of her character. Instead she hurried to her room, put on a soft, blue cotton dress and braided her hair in an appealing way. When selling goods, presentation was important--you couldn't look fancier than what you were selling, and you couldn't look like you'd stolen. Plus, the more appealing you were, the more people came to the booth. She walked just the perfect line--classy, but still intriguing and womanly, with just a hint of richness and practicality. Yes, this would be perfect for selling.
When she was through, she wandered back to the captain's room to see who would be going with her to the market.
