Depends. It's ok to post out some info like your IM info, assuming you have it. In fact, you can even provide your IM info in your profile so that people can view it quickly via that. What you can do, is state that you are willing to share it if people PM you and then you can PM it to them privately (ie, things such as your personal email, FB, etc). It's just not safe for you to share such things online and out in the open and BMR doesn't condone the lack of safety for its members. Hope that helps.
