Name: Kyo (her parents thought she was going to be a boy) Takani
Age: 17
Appearance: Short black hair. Bright, almost amber colored eyes. Was wearing a stained white wife beater, baggy black pants, combat boots, a black collar, and a beani when she died.

"Damnit! I didn't jack it! Lay off!" a girl hollared as she ran down the streets late at night. Her white wifebeater was already speckled with some blood from a new injury. She ran into an alley way, thinking that it was one that led to a safe spot. However, soon she realized it was a dead end and that she'd gone down the wrong way.

She turned only to see a couple of punks closing in, with pipes, a knife, and bats. 'Shit, this is it...' She thought as the leader took a few steps in. "C'mon now, Kyo-chan... We don't have to hurt you if you give it up..."

The girl, now identified as Kyo, sneered. "I told you, Inaba... Don't got it. Get that through your think head. Or does your tiny little mind not comprehend?" She snapped. Sure, it was the dumb move, but she wasn't getting out of this, she she wasn't about to go down sniveling.

And with that, they closed in, and the beatings began. They discarded weapons, not really wanting a murder on their records. Kicks. Punchs. "Give it up, Kyo!" One of the goons demanded. "Fuck off..." She muttered, even as she was curled on the ground.

That just proved to make them madder. That would be the last thing she'd say. The beatings got worse, and soon she was out. They searched her for the money, but didn't find it.

That just proved to piss Inaba off more. "Shit... The bitch musta hid it." He snarled as he slammed a fierce kick into her torso. That was what killed her. It broke ribs, and punctured lungs. That was how she died.

What seemed like moments later, she felt herself come too. And she was looking down at... herself. There were cops there. Kyo blinked. "Fuck... I'm dead..." No sooner than she said this, someone stepped over beside her.

The person was a guy, dressing in black, with a strange sword. "You are... But there's another place for you." He said, drawing his sword. She winced as he moved quickly. Kyo was expecting to be cut in half. But the the contrary, she felt the base of the blade's hilt lightly tap her forehead, and a warm light ingulf her.

Next time she'd wake up, she'd be in a different place.

"Pyresphere-taicho." The voice came from the entrance of his quarters. Spyder stood and stretched, waving a greeting to the messenger. She wandered in, bowed, then smiled. "We have a new arrival coming. The Head Captain would like you to see to her personally."

"Why is that?" Spyder asked, raising an eyebrow.

"He... didn't say."

Shrugging, he patted the messengers shoulder before walking towards the exit. "Let him know I'm on my way."

Spyder exited his quarters, and began to walk along the paths towards the incoming gates. With each step, his robes waved in the slight breeze that encompassed Soul Society. As usual, it was a sunny day, and fairly calm at that. No one stopped him, as though they already knew he was on a mission.

As he arrived, so did she. He met her eyes with his own crimson glance and flashed her a smile. Running a hand through snow white hair, he bowed very slightly to her in greeting. "Welcome to Soul Society, my dear. I am Spyder Pyresphere, one of the Captains of the 13 Protection Squads. I will be your escort here, as ordered by the Head Captain."

She looked dazed. Kyo blinked as he spoke up. Then things flooded back to her. "What the- Where the hell am I? I died!" She exclaimed. "Who the hell are you?!" She demanded, looking terrified. "I'm supposed to be dead... Is this Heaven? It's gotta be... Or hell. Shit, does that mean you're God?!" She asked, freaking out. She was soooo damn confused. Granted, it was almost funny, but still...

She jumped up to her feet and backed up defensively. "Don't touch me..." She warned. She'd already been killed, hit with the hilt of someone's sword, and woke up in a totally unfamiliar place. She wasn't taking any chances.

"Calm down." Spyder said, crossing his arms to show he had no intent of touching her. "You are in Soul Society. Think of it as a kind of... processing station. This is the place you'll be living until you are designated to be reborn in the human world. And no, this isn't Hell. You'd know if you were there, trust me."

Turning his back on the girl, he waved for her to follow. "If you'll just follow me, I can give you a tour of the area."

She eased up. Well, that made a little more sense. She sighed as she began to follow him. She wasn't entirely trusting yet. "Just... Don't try anything..." She warned. "I know how to fight." She added. After being beat to death, she didn't trust that she was safe. At all. And so, with those warning in place, she followed. "So... How long will I be dead?" Kyo asked, curiously. She hoped maybe she'd be reborn soon, but kind of doubted it. That was never how it went in the stories.

"Could be a few days, could be a few centuries." Spyder replied. "Honestly, you never know around here." Arriving at the gates to Soul Society, he waved at the giant guardian to let him inside. It nodded and lifted the door, Spyder slipping inside and allowing Kyo a moment to follow before the gate shut.

"This is the inner section of Soul Society, reserved for Shinigami and their Captains. Normally, a newcomer like you wouldn't be allowed here, but the Head Captain has seen to give you an exception. This is very odd, indeed. I wonder why he would take you here."

She thought. "Probably because he heard about how kick ass I was when I was alive, and so he wanted to recruit me to be some sort of awesome ghosty fighter for him." She said cockily, with a smirk. Big talk for someone who'd gotten her ass stomped to death because of her attitude. "So, um, untill I get reborn, what do I do?" She asked, curiously. "I don't wanna sit and do nothing. It'll get boring real fast..."

Spyder smiled at her enthusiasm. "Well, should you be deemed a Shinigami, you'll be far from bored. But we'll get to that soon enough. For now, it would be best for you to stow away the attitude while we see the Head Captain. After all, he make not take kindly to your attitude."

Arriving at their destination, he nodded at the guards who promptly opened the doors. Spyder and his companion followed a long hallway, eventually coming to a throne room of sorts. Filled wall to wall with guards, the Head Captain sat in his chair that was slightly elevated off the ground.

Spyder bowed deeply to the Head Captain, grabbing the back of Ryo's head to force her to do likewise. As they stood from their bow, the Head Captain acknowledged them. "Pyresphere-taicho, is this the one I asked for?"

"Yes she is, sir."

"My dear, please come closer."

"Shini-wha? Like, a death god?" She asked, blinking. She had always thought that shinigami were born shinigami. Not that they died and became that way. She half-listened as he talked. But then one thing he said caught her attention. "Attitude? I don't got an attitude, buddy..." She said with a frown.

She grumbled the whole rest of the way there, only taking brief chances to glimpse at this new place they were in. Guards. Doors. Long hallway. And a room that looked like it belong to royalty or something. It was crazy secure. She looked for the reason, and soon spotted the Head Captain.

"That old geezer's the head captain?!" She exclaimed, dumbfounded. About that time, she was forced to bow. She about swung an elbow at Spyder for touching her. She didn't like it when people forced her to do things. Then she heard the Head Captain speak up, asking if she was the one.

When he told her to come closer, Kyo did. She grimmaced. "Look gramps, dunno what you want with me, but I'm not gonna be some paper pusher for a death god." She warned snappily. She didn't seem reverent or afraid in the least when she talked to the Head Captain. She had always been gutsy, and it seemed now was no different.

"Pyresphere-taicho, if you would please." The Head Captain said. This was some kind of odd response to her questioning, but a response none-the-less. Spyder crossed the room and stood before Kyo, hand on the handle of his blade. He drew the weapon slowly from it's sheath, revealing a long polished katana. With no emotion on his face, Spyder pointed the tip of his sword at Kyo and muttered a very strange sentence, as though he was talking to himself.

"Reflect and Strike! Kagami!" He called. Responding to his command, the metal of his blade shattered, revealing a mirror-like sheen to it. The weapon now reflected everything around them, and gave it all a blue glow. It was only a few seconds later that it reacted once again, flashing a light from the tip with enough force to knock Kyo on her butt. Spyder just nodded in response.

"I see. So this is why you asked me to bring her here." Spyder sheathed his weapon and attempted to help the girl up off the ground.

Her eyes went wide as he drew up his blade. "H-hey! Take it easy. They're just words!" She exclaimed. Then he same some weird command. She blinked when his blade glowed blue and got all shiny like. Then flash! She screamed as something knocked her back. She screamed because she had expected worse. Much worse.

She opened her eyes and looked up as Spyder said something to the Head Captain and then tried to help her up. She pulled her hand away and glared. "What the hell was that for!?!" She demanded as she stood on her own. She was pretty pissed. "Just what do you want with me, and what was the point of doing that to me?!"

Her glare turned on the head captain. "Why did you have him shoot me? Or whatever the hell it was that he did..." She seethed, crossing her arms over her chest. It seemed the attack hadn't dampened her temper any.

The Head Captain sat silently, nodding to Spyder as if to say 'this is for you to explain'. Spyder sighed as she refused to take his hand, but shrugged it off quickly. "Kyo, you actually shot yourself. My sword is called a Zanpakutou. Each Shinigami has one, as it's created by your soul, and each one has a different power. Mine is called Kagami, and has the power of Reflection. Basically, each soul gives off a certain amount of Reiatsu, which is Spirit Energy.

"When a being is brought into Soul Society with enough Spirit Energy, they have the opportunity to become a Shinigami. The fact that my Zanpakutou reacted to you must mean that your body is giving off a large amount of Reiatsu, whether you're aware of it or not. You, in fact, have the ability to be a Shinigami." Spyder ended his explaination, allowing his words to sink in a bit.

She rolled her eyes as he said Kyo had shot herself. "Uh huh..." She said. But she listened to the rest. Spirit Energy? She didn't have any of that. If she had, wouldn't she have been able to use it to save her ass when she was alive. She sighed as he continued his explaination. It really sounded like something out of a cartoon. Swords. Spirit Energy. Her shooting herself.

When he finished, she frowned. "You gotta be kidding me. I beleived you up to a point. But this is a bit much. Now you've got me convinced this a trip..." She said. "They must have found me in an alley way, put me in the hospital, and doped me up to make it all better." She said, rationalizing this all down to a med induced bad trip. "Listen, I'll play along for a while, but at any time I'm gonna wake up..." She warned. That's just how she was. When things didn't make sense, she reduced it to simple hallucination.

Spyder sighed heavily and turned his head to the Head Captain. "May I?" His only response was a simple nod.

With a flick of his wrist, he drew the sword once again and cut the air in front of Kyo, fast enough so she didn't have enough time to respond. Just as quickly as it was drawn, the weapon was sheathed once again. As the hand guard hit the sheath, a small cut developed on Kyo's cheek, followed by a small trickle of blood.

"This is not dream, Kyo." The Head Captain said, breaking the small silence. "Soul Society shall be seeing hard times soon, and we could use all the help we can get. Pyresphere-taicho can assist you in developing your own Zanpakutou, and you can live out your time in Soul Society among us until the day you are resurrected. You just need to agree to assist us."

She became wary of him when he asked "May I?" to the Head Captain. She didn't trust this situation much at all.

Next she knew, his sword was out again and flying faster than she could see. She felt stinging air blow against her face. She couldn't quite find the voice to scream this time. Soon Kyo felt another sting, and then something warm and wet slide down her cheek. Her hand shakily lifted to find out just what it was.Her fingers smeared acrossed the trickle.

Then she pulled her finger away and looked at it. Red. Blood red. "You cut me!" She said, incredulously. "You jerk!" She called. Never the less, she quieted down after, and listened. "Well, seems like I don't got a hell of a lot of choices... What, seeing as I'm dead and without a place to go..." She added. "Fine, just... Whatever. I'll do the shinigami thing..." She conceded.

"Excellent." Replied the Head Captain. "Take her to your quarters and give her the usual choices. Come report to me when she's made her decision."

"Understood." Spyder bowed to the Head Captain, then turned to Kyo. "Please, follow me."

Exiting the Head Captain's chamber, Spyder led the girl towards his own living quarters. They passed a small, park-like area with a fountain. Water spurted out of the top, creating a rainbow colored illusion as it misted downwards into the collective pool below. It was a thing of beauty, and Spyder couldn't help but pass it every time he came through here.

Finally arriving at his quarters, he slid the screen open and entered, sitting on the pad upon the floor. Smiling, he waved for her to come in and shut the screen, patting the mat in front of him. "We have something else to discuss."

She followed him through the area, not taking some much as a second glance at the fountain. Her life had always been fast paced, and so there had never been much time to stop and appreciate beauty. She simply wrote it off as something rich people valued, and something that had no value on the street.

When they arrived at his quarters. She stepped in and looked around. It seemed so traditional in comparison the the cheap little apartment she had been raised in. She watched him sit down and pat a spot on the ground. More to discuss? Great... Kyo sighed and sat down. "Alright. What's the next topic of discussion?" She questioned, looking bored.

"This is a decision that you alone must make, depending on your own personal comfort." Spyder closed his eyes, as though thinking deeply about something. "There are two ways to unlock our hidden Shinigami potential. The first is the standard way. That is, weeks upon months of daily training, working your fingers to the bone, and following orders to a T."

He let her think about that before bringing up the second option. "The only other way, and the fastest way, is through a mixture of overwhelming emotions and physical exhaustion. This combination seems to make it much easier for the Reiatsu to leak out, and thus be grasped.

"The reason it is such a hard decision, however, is that our science division has only found one way for the second option to work. And that... well..." Spyder paused, looking a bit uncomfortable. Regardless of his own personal feelings, he had to follow the Head Captain's orders. "Is to have sex. A lot of it. Until you can't move anymore."

"We're not going to force you to do one or the other. It's completely your choice."

Sex? Lovely. If it wasn't for the display earlier, she would have laughed out loud and said he was just trying to get in her pants. But she still had the cut on her face to say it wasn't a dream, so this was real. And as funny as it was, it was still a decision. Lets see, work herself half to death or get fucked silly? Really? This was perhaps the easiest decision ever.

"So fuck me." She said, with a smirk. She wasn't the sort of emotional chick to whom a first time mattered, so she didn't care where they did it.

Spyder's eyes opened, staring at her long and hard in disbelief. He wasn't sure he had heard that right. 'So fuck me' was not the usual response he got from their particular questioning. He shook his head, standing from his own mat. "Are you sure? Once we begin, we can't quit until you're out of energy."

"Oh no... I'm going to be sexed until I pass out. Horror of horrors. NOT." She said. "Look, I said what I said for a reason. I'd rather not spend forever getting trained when we can just go through one seriously intense fuck session and get things out of the way." She said, crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm not some pansy girl who's all worried about her modesty... It's not a big deal."

"If that is how you feel." Spyder said, unhooking the Zanpakutou from his hip. After removing the ties of a few sections on his robes, he removed all articles of clothing from his person. Standing completely naked in the care of his own quarters, he looked down upon the newcomer. "Then I suggest you remove your clothing. No one will bother us while we get your Reiatsu out."

She simply stripped down, tossing her close to the side. She pulled her beanie off and put it carefully on top of the clothes. "Great. No mood killers. Works for me." She said. She didn't seem bothered in the least to be standing infront of a man she had just met, stark naked. She was weird like that. "So lets get this started then." She said. She was ready. If nothing else, this would be good for her body. There was something that said not enough sex was bad for you, wasn't there?

Though he had done this numerous times, never had someone been so... disinterested in the process. Stepping forward, Spyder stood right in front of her, hand rubbing against her thigh and working his way up. His fingers found their way between her legs, marveling at the smooth skin without a trace of hair on it. For someone who didn't seem like she cared about anything, she had certainly put some time into her lower appearance.

Splitting her lips, his middle finger immediately latched onto her clit, rubbing it slowly and gently to get her juices started.

She moaned a bit as his fingers found her clit. Her hand slid down over his chest and stomach, and on down further. Soon she had wrapped her hand around his member, and began to firmly stroke him. She may not have been super interested, but fair was fair and she believed that pleasure for pleasure was fair.
