Not Some Stray (Kawaiikitten and me)

Cream drank her milk when she sat down again and listened to his explination. "Hmm... well, maybe tell her you've met someone else and she surprised you with a visit after work? I'd be happy to help you kick her out... or just be as horrible as possible to her." She shrugged her shoulders, leaning back and stretching.

Zak nodded "I think I'll give that a try at some point," he lsughed gently, thinking it might not work, but could possibly upset Diana long enough to leave and give him time to change the locks. "If that doesn't work then yes be as horrible as possible."

"Just call me if you need me." She purred, licking her lips and getting up to walk around behind him and knead his shoulders gently. "I'll be very happy to chase her off my territory." She nuzzled his cheek and walked into the living room.

Zak felt a sort of thrill when she said that, and as she walked into the living room he got the plates to wash before following her into it. He wasn't sure when Diana would show up, just that it would be today.

Cream was very happy to watch TV and snuggle up with him. But the comfort was ended by the doorbell to his apartment ringing. Cream groaned, her tail lashing in annoyance at the interruption of their cosy time. "Do you have to answer it?" That was quickly answred by the sound of a key in the lock and Diana's voice calling. "Hellooo? You home Zak?"

Cream hissed, slinking off the couch and into Zak's room before the woman saw her. She gave a glance back to Zak, reminding him she was there if things didn't go too well.

Zak almost didn't want to answer, but he knew she'd most likely find him anyways. He saw Creams eye glancing through the doorway, knowing that if Diana saw her in her more human form, she'd probably freak, so he hoped she chaged back. "Yeah I'm here," he said. He tried not to act to thrilled, hoping maye an uninterested sort of atittude would just piss her off.

Diana smiled as she saw him, flicking her hair back from her face a little too dramatically for it to be natural. "I hope you haven't forgotten our little date. I brought some movies we can watch for a bit and some popcorn. Then maybe later we can find something else to do." She suggested, stopping by the living room door.

Cream growled to herself in the bedroom at the sound of the woman's voice, swishing her tail angrily.

So much for trying to sound uninterested. Zak tried to think of a good way to say he had found someone else, however he seemed at a lose for words. "Diana...in truth," he said to her "today just isn;t a good day," he replied, thinking hopefully this would work.

Diana looked puzzled. "It's not? But you're free today. You're not in work." She pointed out, folding her arms.

Zak was so confused, she didn't even seem pissed or anything, she was either purposly playing dumb, or was literally just that. "You see...there is someone else," he said, trying to make it sound convincing, but he was always bad at this sort of stuff.

"Someone else?!" Diana looked shocked and then looked incredibly angry. "Who? Is she here? How dare someone else lay a hand on my boyfriend!!" She snarled, pushing past him to look around the living room. Upon seeing no-one, she charged right towards the bedroom door.

Zak hadn't expected this to work out so well, but then again nothing had really changed, she was still here. "Hold on a second...what do you mean your..." before he could say anything else though she charged towards the bedroom. If he told her to stop then she'd just go in anyways, he hoped Cream was back to normal.

The door slammed open and Diana looked about the room wildly, taking in the rumpled bed covers on top of which was the ginger cat. Cream bristled, hissing and yowling angrily at Diana, fur on end. Diana recoiled at the sight of the angry cat and turned her nose up. "Stupid animal. Shut up hissing at me!"

Hearing her response he guessed Cream was in the best form for the occasion. "Of course she isn;t hear, she has work," he said, trying to play this off longer, hoping it drove her away. He thought it would be best to also tell the apartment owner not to let her into the building anymore.

"How could you do this to me?! You cheater!! You're my boyfriend!!" She yelled at Zak, furious, drawing a hand back to slap him. Cream leapt from the bed, the cat's claws sinking into the woman's leg with a yowl of anger. Diana screamed, kicking Cream off her leg. The cat tumbled hard into a wall and vanished behind the other side of the bed.

Zak hadn't expected the tables to turn on him, and he flinched a little bit, however Cream came to his rescue once more. "Cheater!?" he asked "we aren;t together anymore...remember?" he said, a little upset at how she so ungracuously kicked Cream away. "We broke up....twice...you just don't seem to get it."

"Nobody breaks up with me!! Nobody!!" Diana yelled, storming towards the front door, calling him many foul names on her way out. "We're through!!" She yelled before slamming the door after herself and stalking away.
Cream jumped back up onto the bed and shook herself, hissing after the woman and then going quiet when she couldn't hear her anymore.

Zak walked over to pick her up from the bed. "Well... better she break up with me then try to keep things going," he said, pleased with how this worked out. "Are you okay Cream?" he asked, he wasn't sure if Diana had hurt her when she kicked her off, though she seemed fine.

Zak smiled and walked over to the couch. He sat down, holding her in his arms. She was warm and soft, and it made him feel better, not that he was really all too upset to begin with.

She curled up on his lap, purring as they both relaxed in the comfortable quiet of the apartment. Even when she was in cat form she was just as good company for lazing about.

Zak smiled, closing his eyes to rest alittle bit. It seemed a cat nap was on both of their minds. He was still curious of her though, he never understood how she was able to change, but he ddn't really mind the details. He pet her softly, his hand stroking over her back.

Once his eyes closed and they drifted off to sleep, Cream changed again. Still draped over his lap, she purred as she snuggled close to his warmth. It seemed she could only transform back and forth when no-one was looking.
