A low groan elicited from Esyel. Slowly, but steadily, her eyes began to open before finally the blue hues could be seen. Well, they would have if anyone else were in the infirmary. That alone kind of bothered her. Why weren't there any nurses or doctors? She had little time to think on that though as she soon sensed something else. Her gaze shifted toward Tohru and the duel hit her like a brick as her eyes widened. Forgetting completely about herself, she shoved herself onto her feet, walking shakily toward his bed.
"This is my fault ... " she murmured, feeling tears threatening to form in her eyes. His life force was there, but barely. And there was only one way to fix this. She realized what it would mean for herself but .. the hell with it. If she could begin to redeem herself, so be it.
Resting her hands gently upon Tohru's shoulders, she began sending healing surges through his body. In the midst of this, however, more and more of her true form began to emerge. The Slifer Red uniform shifted into her angelic one. Soon, all six wings - albeit a tad messier than usual - could be seen as could the incredibly short golden robes and matching seductive shawls wrapped around her arms.
"Please wake up ... " she whispered, her hands shaking slightly. If she was the reason he died ... no. She didn't even want to think of that. He
had to pull through. And yet, simultaneously, she felt herself a bit confused. Was this only because of her angelic nature that she cared so much? If so, why did it feel like there was more?
It was a bit reluctant, but Akane walked into the next classroom. She did note, however, that Akiyama wasn't there. An inward chuckle echoed in her head. He was already on the move even if she was uncertain what direction to step toward. The answer had been becoming more clear, no doubt. But she wanted to be completely certain on that before doing anything. Her head stayed down and while she took notes, Akane tried to think back to last year. What
had tempted her to join his side last year? This was definitely one of the easiest ways she'd been able to freely use her powers. But was that really it? Her teeth gripped her lower lip slightly.
What a fucking idiot you are ...
It had seemed like a good - no,
great - idea at the time. Now, though, she felt like she was on the wrong side. And given Yuu was as powerful as he was, that said quite a bit. Her teeth released her lower lip as a soft sigh passed her lips. If she was thinking such things of him, the answer should be clear, shouldn't it? These emotions were ... foreign for Akane. Usually, she was decisive and positive on what she felt, what she knew, things of the like. But now, she was an emotional wreck full of doubts and uncertainty. Even if she went to Akiyama ... what then?
Some would probably interrogate or keep Akane prisoner after hearing the cause had literally been right under their nose. It may not be an orthodox way to go about things. But many not-so-typical things had happened in the Academy before. And gods knew the teachers seldom if ever did shit to enforce what did or didn't happen.
But really, when all was said and done, perhaps she should accept her fate. Akane had been dodging and avoiding things for so long. Maybe it was time to step up, if for no other reason, for Tohru's sake.
Nodding to herself, Akane began working on the second set of notes for Yuu. Even if she turned her back on him, Akane would at least make herself seem like she was still loyal to the very end. And that would require for her to keep her promises. She could afford to complete a simple enough request. After this, though ... things were going to change once the day ended.
Isabella jumped slightly as a hand reached through. But with the side it was coming from plus even recognizing it, it made a smile cross her face. Unfortunately, Yuu had been correct. Travelling between dimensions always came with a cost. Sometimes it was fatigue, other times pain. Now was one when the latter occurred. She whimpered slightly as Isabella came through the rift, panting and shaking slightly. The slight yank on her hair hadn't been a sensation she was fond of, but she would allow it slide. Yuu had been able to help get her past that horrible side and she was certain enough that if he'd been able to properly see, he would have chosen a better place on her body like an arm to grab and pull.
"Love ... " she murmured softly, hugging him eagerly, her human form also fading. "Tch, damnit. Go figure."
To be fair, she'd kept her bluenette appearance up for the past several days. That alone had been impressive considering a witch hunt was out for her.
The once navy locks shifted to their real color of purple, the matching eyes turning white. She wasn't blind, oh no. Far from it. At worst, cursed; no doubt by the other spellcasters. Things had never gone so wrong until the bastards dared to interfere with her and Yuu. They should have just minded their own affairs and left them be. But no! Ah well. No matter. They'd pay soon enough.
"Where ... am I, love?" She inquired, glancing around curiously. "Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be with you. But I would like to have an answer or idea of some sort."
