Jack knew that she was going to worry about her sister Emma, not only about her safety but also about her place on the ship when they rescued her. Jack smiled as he turned to her outside the door to the Training Room, seeing the worry in her eyes that both told him of her worry for her sister as well as her worry of her sister. He caressed her face lovingly as he told her what should and he hoped would ease her fears.

"Lily, your sister will be free to go where she wishes. If she wants to go back home we will take her, but if she stays that will be respected. She also is free to make herself available to any member of the crew... except her captain. He is taken, as you well know."

He smiled and kissed her, opening the door and guiding her inside as he did. It was a very large room, with all the equipment that a normal gym might have had, as well as fencing and sword-practice gear from at least five different countries as well.

"You will be more than able to learn, Lily, as I have faith in you."

Lilly was not so sure that she could. This room intimidated her. The very air it held made her feel tense and she bit back her other emotions. Jack was allowing her to fight. He was giving her the chance to fight and train. To be the one to save her sister with her own two, freckled hands was quite a gift. Yet she could not help but feel like she was making a huge mistake. That she was not able to do this. A lump rose in her throat and she gave him a terrified look.

"What am I supposed to do?" she asked in a hoarse whisper.

Jack understood her nervousness, and he moved and took a blade from the wall. He knew that it was the proper blade, and he carried it back to her. This was going to be the beginning of her introduction to the world he always had been involved it, and meant for as well and he loved it. He handed her the blade, showing her how to hold it first.

"Do not be nervous about having to learn. Punishments are for when you already know it but do not do it. Now the practice will first be against a standing target, then we will move up to a well padded moving one."

A dummy, similar to the tailor's stand-in, was poised in the middle of the room. He showed her every move of the sword she should know, making certain with caresses and swats when needed, that she was paying attention to all he told and showed her.

There would be many, many swats for Lillian that day. At first the sword would lay limp in her hand; she was took terrified of it to hold the grip any tighter. Anytime she would make a swing or a slashing movement, the blade would slip from her hands and clatter to the floor. She nearly brought herself to tears because of how frustrated she was. A lady did not hold and play with weapons!

Finally though she began to hold it tighter. The sword was still a little heavy for her and, even with all of her effort, her movements still sluggish and sloppy. It did not help that her whole body was still sore and stiff from all of the hard love that her husband had given her.

"Love," she said in a desperate tone. "I am trying so hard but I am not learning."

Jack then took the blade from Lillian and helped her to sit down, moving behind her and starting to massage her lovely neck and shoulders. He got the armor open enough that he was getting her entire shoulder area, ,and he went to work as he spoke to her. He knew she thought her gender was the difference maker, but he knew she could do it. As he told her what he knew about her, he accented all of what he always saw in her that made her different than her sister. He made the massage both provocative and soothing as he wanted her to know she was his not just to possess but to take care of.

"You are more than my Woman, Lily. You can do this, and though you and I will have our time alone later, this is not about what you think it is. The myth that a 'lady' does not learn to use a sword or pistol is a lie. Men can do some things women cannot do, but this is not one of those things. I believe in you, Lily. You are my Woman, and you can do this. You have it in you to help me find your sister and to take the vengeance both you and your sister Emma deserve on those to took her. I will do this with and for you, but the more I do it with you, the more you will prove to her that what I see in you is true."

Lillian closed her eyes. The massage was nice. The muscles that had become sore again with the training loosened again and she hung her head with a groan. How was she going to do all he wanted her to do? Only barbaric women learned such things. The redhead had tried so hard to be a lady; even went against her very nature to be foreseen as one. His words concerned her.

"I want to save my sister," she started, "but I don't want vengeance. Emma wouldn't want it. I mean, I do, but not the kind where I have to kill men. I don't want to actually kill anyone. I do, despite everything that has gone on, still have Christian sensibilities. I don't want to murder."

That was true, too. Murder did not appeal to her. None of this really appealed to her. Yet she knew it would make him love her more. That it would make him happy. The woman bit her lip and tears shone brightly within them. Her entire life was meant to be his now, wasn't it? That thought hurt her.

Jack sat down, looking into Lillian's eyes. He was realizing that he did not explain what he was telling her, and that made him very upset with himself. He took her face in his hand, caressing it as he spoke in a much gentler tone than before.

"Lily.. I am not teaching you to kill, because that is not what this is about. We will have to to use what means we have to stop the slavers, but slavery is a crime punishable by execution in all fifty of the civilized nations of the world and all of their colonies, territories, and protectorates. I do not intend to kill anyone, but to bring them to justice. If they fight and refuse our apprehending them, then I will stop them by any means needed. They have to have more than just your sister Emma on board their airship, so we have to free the others as well."
