Mariella felt the movement of him moving closer and couldn't begin to help but feel a tad more anxious as he laid his arm across the railing behind her, bringing them a touch closer to each other. It was a dangerous game to their society, what they were taking part in, but she was beginning not to care. It wasn't often she got along well with a member of the male sex after she opened her mouth. Most often, she was praised and paid attention to, until she bothered to speak. Then most just turned tail and found more complacent and obediant game. It was a nice change that she was able to converse with a man and not have to curb her tongue for fear of chasing him off, not that she would try to curb her tongue to begin with. She was fine being brutally honest; she had no problem with it. It was other people that did.
She found pleasure in his words and couldn't help but smile at him, her own lips parting enough to show a slight of her white teeth. Mariella wasn't the forward type, and she didn't even know how to be. However, she found that her heartrate had kicked up a notch and, as inappropiate as it was, she wanted to move closer to him. She tucked a strand of her curls behind her ear and let out a soft, content sigh. "I am glad you did follow me out," she confessed, "knowing the usual playout by now, probably would've been as uninteresting as always should you have not shown up and saved me from such a dreadful evening."
